7/19 Happy birthday GDP 2 and GDP 3 The newest addition to the perpetual grow family
The seeds were soaked in water for about 5 days until the girls had a nice tail going.
Placed seeds tail down in starter plugs inside the germination station with heat mat with light on 8 am till 10 pm and babies were born.
7/20 Placed the plugged seedlings in small soil containers and let the girls enjoy their first day in the Sun. The plants responded by bending towards the Sun.
GPD baby girls will be inside the small tent over night.
7/23 The girls are only 4 days old and doing well. They stay inside the small tent at night with lights off at 12 midnight. Lights on at 6 am and as soon as the sun
is shining the GDP babies are on the south side of the castle in partial sun. Its hot so an oscillating fan keeps a nice breeze on all the girls.
7/26 HOT Its is Summer for sure. Daytime temps are in the mid 90's. The girls spent several hours outside until a big ass storm popped up and were ready to go inside the small tent for the rest their shift.
7/27 Its time for a new 3 gallon cloth home with nice Roots Organic Lush soil and a little perlite for fun this week.
7/29 Welcome to the dog days of summer. Its hot as a firecracker wrapped in roast beef. The girls are spending a few days in the small tent with 80°'s temps not the furnace outside.
The GDP baby's are 10 days old today and doing well after replanted in the 3 gallon pots. They are growing well but looking forward to a little cooler weather to spend more time with Mr Sun.
7/31 The little ladies stayed up in the small tent until 12 last night and woke up at 6 am. The summer extreme heat is letting up enough for the plants to enjoy the south side of the double wide today.
They took in a small amount of plain water before a day in the sun. I added about 1/8 teaspoon of HTG stump tea to the soil before adding todays water.
8/3 Happy 14 day birthday. The plants are 2 weeks old today and doing well. We are having some rain so the girls will spend some time in the nursery tent this week.
They are about 6 to 7 inches tall and only getting plain water at this time. The Roots Organic soil has a lot of nutrients in it and the plants love it.
8/4 The weather is a little bit cooler so the girls are spending the day inside. GDP2 is a little more along so I topped her and hoping for good results.
8/5 The girls were up until 12 mid night and got up early at 6 am in the small tent. Its going to be nice weather the next few days so its a good time to spend some time soaking up some good sun on the south side of the castle.
First thing this morning all the young plants soaked up a diluted variation of Foxfarm soil week 2 feed.
GDP2 is doing well after yesterdays topping, GDP3 and her friends will get topped as soon as she grows a little more.
8/8 The GDP's are coming out of the tent. The plants are growing fast P2 was topped and is about 11 inches tall while P3 was not toped and is about 12 inches tall.
All plants had a nice drink of plain water today and will be in full sun with temps near 90. They are going to live most of the rest of their lives outside with the crawling and flying bugs.
So after the sun goes down and it cools off the plants get a blast spray of Foxfarm Force of Nature to help keep bugs off.
8/10 The Plants are 3 weeks old (23 days) and growing good. They both responded very well from the toppings this week. The GDP girls are 14 to 16 inches tall and are at the pre flowering stage.
Today all the plants are getting a soil root drench with some "free on Tuesdays" HTG Stump Tea. They will be resting in the sun with a oscillating fan's breeze on them and if it gets too hot
they will be moved to some partial shade. The girls are outside so when sun goes down and cools off all the plants are going to get a spray blast of FF Force of Nature bug killer.
8/13 Both purple daddy girls are growing 19 to 20 inches tall. They gulped down a version of FF soil feed week 3 with PH adjusted up to 6.5.
8/15 Today the plants took in a half gallon each of a variation of Foxfarm soil feed week 4 nutrients. I added some Organic Cal-mag and had to up the PH up to 6.5
The auto girls are entering week 4 and are about 22 inches tall. GPD Dos was topped early and is more bushy and full. Sister GDP Tres was topped later and is taller but not
as full yet. Both are close to pre flower and like the full sun but are moved to shade if it get too hot.
In the evening after the plants cool I spray mist all their leaves with either Foxfarm Force of Nature or Mammoth Canncontrol to help keep the bugs off the plants.
The Mammoth is a insecticide and a fungicide for mold and mildew.
8/17 We are having a lot of rain so all the auto girls are staying dry and protected from the wind. No need to water of give nutrients. GDP Deux has more flower sites and is starting to flower.
GDP Trois is taller with less flower sites and just a little behind her sister, We just need to get thru a couple days of rain to get back in the sun.
8/19 After having yesterday in the sun its time for some breakfast. All the girls were feed and GDP 1 and 2 took in week 5 of soil feed. Added some cal-mag and a little Terpinator.
8/20 Nice clear hot summer day. Temps are high 80's with a nice 65% humid breeze. Plants are about 25 to 27 inches tall. Both are showing the beginning of flowering.
8/22 Flowertime! GDP 2 and GDP 3 are both in flower. The purple grand daddy girls are moving into the next phase of growth, II has more flower sites but III is a little taller.
Both plants are outside in the sun during the day and moved under a porch roof at night or rain. Summers in the south are hot so we keep a small fan going on hot days.
I hate me a damn white fly. Trying to keep bugs off is a daily thing, Using sprays and sticky strips but I cant get them all
It was hot today and their starting to flower so I promised the girls if they were all good they would get a Fish Shit treat. I had a feed mixed up of a Sunday cocktail for the older girls
and I gave the younger plants a small taste of an adult plant drink. I think they liked it.
8/24 HOT! It is so hot the squirrels are eating our tomatoes.
The weather is hot and the bugs don't care. The GDP girls and their friends are in the middle of an August heat wave with highs in the middle+ 90's in the shade.
The dang gone bugs are eating my lovely leaves and I have had enough. I like growing outside but the bad is outweighing the good so I moved both GDP's, a blueberry, a banana kush and a mature Gorilla glue to the 39" x 39" grow tent.
The light schedule is on 14 on and 10 off and there is a small fan circulating air also have a carbon filter exhaust fan on low. I have a couple of sticky strips hanging to get any bugs brought in from outside.
8/25 (38 days old) Looks like everybody is settled in the tent and happy. Today everybody got a good drink of nutrients first thing in the AM. The GDP twins took in week 5 of Foxfarm soil feed.
I did add some Cal-mag, a little Terpinator and PH up to get to 6.5
8/26 Granddaddy girls are acclimated to their new environment. The late day temps in the tent go up to about 85° and nights are high 70's. A small dehumidifier is set on 45%.
All the bud sites have white pistils and are forming new each day. Some of the older fan leaves are being used up as supposed to. I know they feel better without them dam bugs on them,
They do miss the sun but its all good.
8/29 GDP girls are going into the second week of flower the pistils are beginning to show more as the he girls are growing in the tent.
All the plants in the tent got a Sunday brunch cocktail treat of Fish Shit, Terpinator and some Cal-mag plus.
8/31 Today is HTG Supply “Free Stump Tea Tuesdays” so that's what the girls had for lunch. If you go to a store with empty containers
they will fil each one free of charge. So each plant enjoyed a nice drink of stump tea. I like to give this supercharge juice as a watering.
9/2 (46 days old) First thing in the morning the GDP's were fed week 6 of Foxfarm soil feed. I added some FF Organic Cal-mag, and PH up to get to 6.5
9/4 This is a good day to rearrange the tent. I added some new racks to get the plants off the floor and have a catch tray underneath each plant.
The girls enjoyed a day of real sunshine on the south side of the castle with a high of 85°, low humidity and a nice breeze.
The pang wangle plants will be back in the tent before the sun goes down. Before coming in their gonna get checked for bugs.
While outside they all got a healthy dose of just plain water. The flower buds are forming clusters of white pistils. A couple pistils on GDP2 are turning slight orange brown but not many.
9/5 (49 days old) GDP girls are going into the third week of flower in the tent. The flower sites are expanding with white pistils with a few changing brown.
The light in the tent is on at 6 am and off at 8 pm (14 on 10 off) No water or nutrients today its just a good day to rest.
9/7 Today is HTG Supply “Free Stump Tea Tuesdays” The fan leaves tips are showing a little burn so I flushed plants with stump tea.
Slowly added 1/2 gallon and let it marinate for a while then added another 1/2 gallon to get good runoff. There going to sit in the sun and dry out before heading back to the tent tonight.
The colas are beefing up with clusters of white pistils. Looks like there may be some frosty trichomes starting to develop on the flowers.
GDP2 is a lot more bushier and more flower sites have the brown pistils and GDP3 is taller with two main colas.
9/12 (56 days old) Granddaddy Purple 2 and 3 and going on 8 weeks old approximately half their life span. They have more life in them than Norwich City.
The plants are doing well despite the nutrient burn from last week. Today the plants took in a half gallon of water with some Terpinator and molasses PH was 6.6
The girls are in the tent with temps in the mid 70°'s and 50+ humidity. The colas are expanding and filling out. The trichomes sparkle in the light and there is a slight smell.
9/14 Plants enjoyed a good ol fresh HTG Stump Tea cocktail today. Seem to be ok from the burn as cola buds are thickening up and getting frosty. Their in the tent
and I rotate them about 1 time a day. Late day temps in the tent are mid 80's and night temps are mid 70's.
9/17 Friday feed day for GDP2 and GDP3. The wacky weed plants took in a half gallon each of a variation of Foxfarm soil feed week 8 and PH up to 6.5. I tried to use mostly organic nutrients on this feed.
The plants had a little nutrient burn from a couple weeks ago and are feeling a little better. The cola's are beefing up and getting thicker. I am using Terpinator to increase the trichomes.
Also the plants are getting some molasses and bud candy to hulk up the buds. Temps in the tent are 80 ish during the day and mid 70's at night. Humidifier is set to 50%
9/19 (63 days old) 9 total weeks old and entering into the 5th week of flower for GDP 1 and GDP 2. Today the girl plants received in a 1/2 gallon of plain water.
The colas are getting more trichomes and a little more smell is coming from her especially in the morning. GDP 1 feels better from the nutrient burn and is in the game.
GDP 2 is feeling better but on the substitute bench. She said coach should have kept Mark Noble's ass on the bench too.
9/22 The plants welcomed in the first day of fall with a drink of Fish Shit and Terpinator, I think they liked it. The cola's are getting thick with a bunch of pistils growing.
The trichomes are getting that glitter sparkly look and sticky to the touch. They have a slight floral smell to them. The tent temp is low 80's and humidly is about 50%
9/26 Granddaddy Purple 2 and Granddaddy Purple 3 are 70 days old and going into week 6 of flower,
Today the plants took in a 1/2 gallon of a Sunday brunch cocktail of sweet nutrients while watching some English Football.
The buds are beefing up nice thick and tight. Sticky to the touch and starting to smell more.
Temps have cooled off to day highs 70's with nights a little cooler.
9/30 This morning the plants took in about 1/2 gallon of plain water each. All is well the plants are still filling out the big colas. I rotate the plants every now and then in the tent.
The dehumidifier is set to 50%, I have a small fan inside the tent and a charcoal exhaust filter helps with the smell.
10/2 The purple girls are 76 total days old and going into the 7th week of flower (+/-49 days)
This is a good time for us to flush the soil. The plants enjoyed getting out of the tent this morning and basking in the early sun.
I flushed each plant with plain water to get a good amount of runoff. I wanted to flush the plants real good going into the last part of their lives.
10/6 The plants woke up hungry. Each plant took in a 1/2 gallon each of some nutrients with PH adjusted up to 6.5. Buds are thick and hard with trichomes all over.
The smell is more intense coming from the tent,
10/10 (84 days old) The GDP girl plants 2 and 3 are in the final part of their lives. Setting in the tent maturing as hard as they can.
The plants were light weight to pick up and needed a little water, I gave them a small amount of nutrients with PH adjusted up to 6.5
10/14 My little sticky plants drank up some Fish Shit and Terpinator this morning. The buds are nice and firm with trichomes all over.
The end is near only a couple weeks away. The plants will just get water until harvest.
10/17 (91 Days old) My little sticky plants drank up some water and Terpinator today. The end is near! The smelly buds and frosty trichomes are ready willing and able. The tents RH is 45 to 50 and temps 65° to 75° This should be the last week before harvest. Plants will get some more water mid week and may go dark for 48 hours next week end.
10/20 (94 Days old) The end is near real near. My Grand Daddy Girls are ready for the next step. Trichomes are frosty thick on the buds and are looking cloudy with a few amber.
The last drink was with water and Terpinator early yesterday morning.
GDP 2 and 3 will rest in the total dark for about 48+ hours until the Saturday morning stomping of Newcastle.
10/23 The buds are drying and will cure after that. Update in 4 to 5 weeks
The buds have dried and cured and are Marvelous, Nice sweet purple grapie taste and flavor.
The doobies burn even with no runs and stay lit for the next hit.
This GDP has a nice mellow long lasting buzz, good to listen to some good music and enjoy.
10/23 (97 days old) 4 weeks of vegetation and 9 weeks of flower
Plants woke up after spending 2 days and nights in total dark. I close trimmed each bud, cut off the big fan leaves and trimmed the sugar leaves.
I could see the trichomes glitter in the light and the scissors and rubber gloves were sticky from the resign.
Not a big harvest but hopefully a quality harvest, GDP2 weighed in 103 grams wet and GDP3 came in at 79 grams wet. The buds were sticky and smell like a funky duck.
I trimmed the stems and broke up the buds and placed on a mesh basket. Buds will dry for 4 to 7 days temps 70's with 50% RH.
After drying the buds will go in mason jars for several weeks.
Plants did ok growing, Started them in middle of July and they spent a good bit of time outside. The summer heat and damn bugs made them come inside. I burned them with nutrients around week 7.
After flushing they responded ok. I used some molasses and Terpinator toward the end to help trichomes smell and flavors.
