meneerGreen 3-4, Today at 15:30 I placed 4 Super Silver Haze seeds from Hy-seeds for germination using the coffee filter method, a method that has guaranteed me almost 100% germination so far. If all 4 germinate (I’m actually counting on it) and they all sprout, then they will all go in the tent. I've prepared a mixing bucket for the occasion so they have plenty of space, so whatever happens, regardless of how many, will go in. I plan to put the ladies on 12/12 as soon as they go into the tent, but they all need to sprout for that; I want to fill the tent. The specifications for this strain: Sex: ♀️ Feminized Flowering: 11 weeks Genetics: 85% Sativa / 15% Indica THC: Very High Height indoor: 80 - 200 cm Height outdoor: 120 - 220 cm Yield indoor: 500 - 600 grams/m2 Yield outdoor: 550 - 650 grams/m2 Mold resistance: High Growing difficulty: Easy Effect: Happy, uplifting, energetic Medicinal: Stress, depression, pain Sea of Green: Suitable SCROG: Suitable I had her in the space bucket last time and I wasn't entirely satisfied with that, so she gets a second chance in the 60 x 60 tent with a different nutrient and a different start. Last time I mixed lightmix with supermix; now I'm starting with only lightmix so I can start feeding earlier. The nutrient I'm going to use for the ladies this time is Powder feeding, a complete nutrient from start to finish, with only a PK booster added during flowering. I want to try to keep it that way, but if I need to add an additive like Calmag or something similar, I will, but initially that's not the plan. What I will be adding is Silica power from B.A.C., which works well for me, so I’ll continue with that. The light they will be under is the Spider Farmer sf1000, which is 100 watts. I will hang the light a bit higher at first according to the manufacturer's recommendations and also follow the strength, so the percentage of light at the respective stages of the plant will be monitored. In my previous grow under this light, I neglected that, and as a result, I felt I had the problems I encountered with that grow (read my report on the Strawberry). 5-4, All 4 seeds have germinated; today I planted/sowed them, and they will be grown in the seedling cabinet for about 2 to 3 weeks before going into the tent. There’s still Strawberry in there, but they should be out by then (hopefully). I’m growing them again in lightmix from Plagron; this soil works excellently for me and always gives me good results. During the seedling phase, they will only receive pH-adjusted water with root stimulator. The temperature in the cabinet is 23 degrees, but it will rise with the fluorescent light right above the pots. I’ve placed plastic over them for the first 1 to 2 days to keep the heat and moisture in the pots; once they show a little sprout, it will come off. 6-4, Today, one plastic cover from the pot was blown away by the little fan I have in the cabinet; it was also the only seed that hadn’t broken ground yet, so today there are 3 above ground. Coincidence… or does such a cover actually help? I think the latter, lol. Humidity in the cabinet is 51%, but that’s because the water in the tray was empty, so I refilled it; the humidity will undoubtedly rise. The temperature, on the other hand, is now at 25.5 degrees, but it will be a bit warmer at the seedlings since they are higher than the humidity meter. 7-4, Gave a bit more water with root stimulator; now that the plastic cover is off, it dries a little faster. They are all 4 above ground now, temperature 25 degrees, and humidity 65%. 8-4, Gave a bit of pH-adjusted water with root stimulator this time using a spray bottle; the 4 ladies in the making received a total of 130 ml, temperature 25 degrees, humidity 62%.

meneerGreen Week 1 (9-4 to 15-4) Watering: 450 ml (4 little plants) Temperature: 25 to 19 (lights on, lights off) RH 65 to 55% (highest, lowest). EC: 0.4 pH: 6.0 They have 4 leaves, so I'm starting week 1 today. They’re getting pH-adjusted water with root stimulator, and they're still under the fluorescent lights (2x T5 24 watt 6400K), but that’s probably the last week. They’re growing nicely, so I think by the end of this week they’ll have enough roots. The Strawberry was taken out at the end of this week, so I’ll clean the tent and then the ladies can go in next weekend. If they don’t have enough roots, it’ll be a bit later, but at least everything will be ready for them.

EC: 0.4 pH: 6.0 22-4, Today I moved the ladies into the tent, they’re going to be four of them in a 50-liter tub, I hope that will allow me to switch to the 12/12 schedule sooner, I initially wanted to go straight to 12/12 but I’m still not sure about that, I’ll give them 1 to 2 weeks and if they’re growing nicely, there’s a chance I’ll switch them to 12/12 after topping, but I’ll let them recover from the stress for a few days first. The light is set to 60% of its 100-watt capacity and is hanging 60 cm above the ladies. I’m going to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations as I mentioned earlier. The ladies were nicely rooted, and after planting them, I filled the tub further with soil.

EC: 0.4 pH: 6.0 They are getting pH-adjusted water with Silica power (B.A.C.). 1-5, Discovered thrips on the ladies today, I immediately ordered some bugs to clean up these pests, also ordered some sticky traps, the bugs I ordered are nematodes for the soil, they take care of the eggs and larvae, and I also got predatory mites for the adult thrips, hope I can keep it under control with that. Also set up the SCROG net today. 2-5, today I bent the branch of the biggest lady, so not a shoot, the branch was sticking out above the net, so I secured it to the net, the shoots below will get more light right away. 5-5, received the bugs yesterday, released them today (predatory mites) and poured the nematodes in with the water, I’ll hold on to the sticky traps for now.

EC: 0.4 pH: 6.1 All week I tied down some shoots as needed and removed some leaves. They aren't getting nutrients yet, although I did add some humus and fulvic acid this week, and also some Calmag as a precaution. I'll check with the fertometer next week and then, if needed, slowly start with the nutrients, not according to schedule but based on my own judgment. On 9-5, I switched the ladies to the 12/12 schedule. Since I'm working with 4 plants, I can switch over faster. I’m going to do another round from seed on 12/12, but I want to see if I’ll do that with 4 ladies or maybe a bit more, and whether I’ll skip the little SCROG setup.

EC: 0.7 pH: 6.1 May 14, started with nutrients, added nutrients to 5 liters of water, 1 ml Silica power, 2 ml Calmag, 1 gram powder feeding long flowering, and 2 ml pH- gives EC 0.7 (including starting EC of 0.4 (tap water)) and pH 6.1, we start light and see how they react. I'll check with the fertometer next week. I haven't seen any thrips anymore, so I can consider that a little success. Furthermore, this week I secured some shoots and removed some leaves here and there, since there are 4 ladies this time, it's quite crowded, and I wonder if I should have switched to 12/12 earlier. This is my first time having so many ladies in such a small space, so I see it as a learning moment. I'm thinking about putting 4 ladies in the next round and going straight to 12/12 to see how that turns out; after all, you learn by doing. I hung the lamp a bit lower; I found they were stretching a bit after switching to 12/12, but I still have the lamp set to 80%.

EC: 1.0 pH: 6.1 This week I removed quite a bit of leaf, the RH is on the high side so I'm trying to bring it down this way, the ladies are pretty big so I hope I won't run into height issues. I found out this week that with the nutrients I'm using now (Powderfeeding) I need to feed every other day and not every day, or I have to switch to hydro, so another learning moment. Also, for the next round (when I go for four plants again) I really need to switch to 12/12 earlier or set it right away because this is way too crowded for me. The light is at 80% and I probably won't increase it in this situation, I might even need to dim it further at the end because the ladies are getting too close to it, I can't raise the light any further unless I hang it directly from the frame but then my fan gets in the way and I need to find a solution for that too. All in all, it's still a bit of a struggle with this grow, but in the end, it will be fine.

EC: 1.2 pH: 6.1 This week I fed the ladies every other day and they look potent, I actually wanted to start with PK next week but I just prepared a new bucket so that will be a week later, I'm not throwing away any bucket of nutrients. Furthermore, this week I hung the lamp in a different spot, it was above the lamp but I moved it to the side because I need the height, I hope they don't keep growing too long otherwise I’ll have a height problem, I have a few cm left and then the space is up. For the next grow, when I choose 4 plants again, I’ll go straight to 12/12 because this is a bit too much. Otherwise, I’ll just work with 1 plant like I did before, I think that gives you better control. With the new bucket of nutrients, I slightly raised the EC to 1.5, whether that’s wise in hindsight I don’t know because the ladies look pretty content now, I hope it doesn’t turn out to be too much, but we can always go back to 1.2. I’m still giving some Calmag and Silica power, and I’ll just keep doing that.

So they get this alternately, one day nutrients, one day pH-adjusted water. Also regularly removed some leaves, both below and above the rack where necessary. The ladies don’t seem to be growing further or at least much slower, which would work well for me since I can only raise the lamp a few more centimeters.

I'm also seriously considering putting a bubble bucket in this tent as well; it's doing great in the greenhouse, so I'm craving more, and it will definitely be one plant.

EC: 1.4 pH: 6.3 The SSH is doing well, although I'll be glad when this grow is over, but I've said that before. When you look at it, it’s like one plant even though there are 4, the buds are bigger but I’m also going to get a lot of fluffy stuff, which is less desirable, at least a lot of work. But yeah, we’ll finish it nicely and then happily start again. How, I’m not sure yet; I’ll think about it calmly. Maybe a bubble bucket like I said last week, or I’ll leave it empty until I know what I want, but that’s for a later time. I’m busy with something else, so maybe I’ll have to leave it empty out of necessity.

meneerGreen Week 14 (9-7 to 15-7) 8th week of flowering. Watering: 8.6 liters. Temperature: 28.7 during lights on, 22 during lights off, RH 82 to 62% (highest, lowest). EC: 1.4 pH: 6.3 The humidity remains on the high side; this small extractor can't handle it in this case, but if I were to hang a bigger one, it would probably tear my tent apart. The small extractor is already pulling it in pretty well, but it might also be due to the warm weather. The buds are ripening nicely; I think I can harvest in about 2 weeks (max). There is some difference in ripeness, but I think I'll harvest everything at the same time; I'm looking for a bit of a generous middle ground. The nutrients have hardly changed throughout the rest of the grow (in 5 liters of water) 1 ml Silica power, 2 ml Calmag, 2 grams P.F. long flowering, 1 gram PK, and 0.2.2 ml pH-, which gives an EC of 1.4 and a pH of 6.3.

EC: 1.4 pH: 6.3 Not much to report, they are ripening nicely, I give them as little water as possible to keep the RH as low as I can, and that's not easy as you can see from the values. Since I alternate between water and nutrients, I make two buckets of water, one with nutrients and one with pH-balanced water. Added to the bucket with nutrients (in 5 liters of water) 1 ml Silica power, 2 ml Calmag, 2 grams P.F. long flowering, 1 gram PK, and 0.2 ml pH-, which gives an EC of 1.4 and a pH of 6.3. Added to the bucket of pH-balanced water, 1 ml Silica power, 2 ml Calmag, and 0.7 ml pH-, gives an EC of 0.6 and a pH of 6.0.

EC: 0.4 (EC tap water here) pH: 6.3 This week I only gave them pH'd water except for two days when they got nothing because I harvested on the 29th. To be honest, I was a bit done with it, it wasn't going the way I wanted, I also saw a few thrips again so I made the decision, there was already some amber so I thought it was fine, the wet weight wasn't even disappointing considering they had been drying for 2 days. Wet weight of buds, 304 grams. Trim waste and fluffy stuff, 95 grams. I had already expected to have a lot of fluffy stuff so that didn't surprise me, but all together almost 400 grams of stuff, but then from 4 ladies, and I didn't run this round at full power (100 watts) but averaged 73.3 watts after calculating everything, so we'll see what it yielded per watt, I calculated it as follows, Total 116 growing days, of which 18 x 48 watts (vegetative) 5 x 60 watts, 9 x 70 watts, and 84 x 80 watts, is a total of 8514 watts divided by 116 = 73.3 watts. Assuming I calculated it correctly. In the meantime, I already have a Super Lemon Haze germinating (31-7) and I'm going to grow this lady in a RDWC, I already have one in the space bucket (light mix) so we can nicely see the difference later. The bucket she'll go into will be empty in 1 to 2 weeks, I can clean it nicely before she goes in, I've already cleaned and disinfected the tent so if all goes well she'll go in about three weeks. Today (3-8) after 24 hours in the cure pot, the dry final weight, and I must say it wasn't even disappointing, the RH while weighing was 60% and that's excellent for me. After 5 days drying in the tent (and of course they hadn't received water for 2 days before that which will also help with drying time) and 1 day in the cure pot, the weight is……… Buds, 106 grams Trim , 38 grams Total 142 grams, that's 1.9 grams per watt and to be honest, that's above expectations, just for the buds I'm getting around 1.5 grams per watt which isn't bad considering the growing process.

Nice plant. But does it just fit in the tent? I have the same. 60x60 is actually just a bit too small.

@Mosquito_Haarlem, The tent isn't the problem, I switched to 12/12 too late so it's gotten a bit out of hand 😁👍, I usually have the plant(s) in a scrog and have enough space because of that, but yeah, just learned something again, I guess. 😁👍

It's a shame that you can't specify the actual usage of the lamp at the end of the grow since that's fixed. It would be nice if you could adjust that at the end of the grow. For example, I only used a maximum of 80% of the lamp's power (from 48 watts to 80 watts), and I calculated that I used 73.3 watts over the entire grow. So, you should be able to adjust that at the end of the grow because you don't know in advance how your grow will go and how many watts you'll ultimately use.😉👍
