This plant has been going strong for sometime now. I’m starting this grow diary so soon because I need to keep track of how much longer I have until it’s ready for harvest. I already forgot what day I switched to bloom lol. But I’ll be posting weekly. With better pictures.
This plant has been going strong for sometime now. I’m starting this grow diary so soon because I need to keep track of how much longer I have until it’s ready for harvest. I already forgot what day I switched to bloom lol. But I’ll be posting weekly. With better pictures. I topped dress with 2-3 tablespoons of all dry amendments listed. Every 3 days I water and during every other water sessions I use a light feeding per volume of 2.5ml of big buds and 2 ml of bud candy per half gallon watering. About once or twice a week I water with a teaspoon of molasses for microbial life upkeep.
Man this week has been taking forever, my theory is it will only get slower relative to harvest just because my excitement.
I top dressed with about 2 inches of worm castings with an eyeballed mix of 2tbps of bone meal (3-14-0, bloom fert.), 1.5-2tbps of Gaia green all purp.(4-4-4, I don’t have an actual potassium fert. Like leingbenite So I use this), 3tbps of dr earth kelp meal (1-.05-2 has many different vitamins, amino acids, carbohydrates) and 2tbps of mykos (for microbiology inoculation and nutrient uptake/upkeep).
So I every time I water I have this old 2gallon water tin that I usually fill up about a quarter to half way full. Using this amount of water and the 5 gallon bucket of my soil mix makes my watering schedule once every 3 days (on average). I do use bottle nutrients but it’s mainly for the supplementing. For feeding I use 2-3ml to half a gallon for all bottle nutrients, I have never gone over, and I have never had deficiency’s that can hinder plant development.
Deficiency's: PSA: Now if anyone happens to read and actually look at my plants please do look closely and maybe let me know if you see something that I have missed since I’m still very new. I noticed my plant was having a cal mag issue so that’s why I top dressed with worm castings, I also top dressed with about 3tbps of azomite (I feel using azomite it may help with all those unnoticeable deficiency’s that a new grower might miss). I’ve been noticing on some of the leaves the very tips are showing discoloring, since the color is still so vibrant mostly I can rule out nitrogen, phosphorus, Iron, manganese, and sulphuric. It’s still very early stage so I did an extremely light foliage feeding (in the dark to prevent UV damage) of 2ml of big bud, big bloom, and tiger bloom, mixed into half a liter of water, I then emptied the spray bottle and sprayed with tap water just to make sure there’s no nute burning. Today I fed the plant through water amendments with 3ml of big bud, 3ml of bud candy, 3ml of big bloom, and 2ml of tiger bloom;(my theory is hopefully the nutrient deficiency’s will go away)
My soil mix is pretty basic. 40% coco, 10% perlite, 10% well composted chicken manure, 20% black gold compost, 20% worm castings. I’m not going to put the fertilizer amendment percentage to be honest I eye ball it but there’s a rough general measurements that I do.
Another slow week. I increased light schedule to 13/11. I’m going to slowly lower the time of light until by the time harvest day comes it’ll have a longer dark period. I’m also going to stop feeding the bottle nutrients my soil is moist still so I gotta wait. I’m predicting a couple ounces this grow.
Last 2 weeks before I put her in a 3 day dark period! I’m no longer giving any nutrients and I’m letting the plant deplete all the nutrients in the soil, I’m also only using water for now own. I have her in a 11.5 hour light schedule. There’s slight nutrient burning too on some parts but it’s nothing drastic.
So It’s now week 8 on seedsman’s website flowering is done in 65 days so I have 1 more week left before the dark period. Yesterday I watered with a couple tbps of molasses other than that ive been doing regular watering with just tap.
Dude this plant was a champ! It survived being ate up by both dogs twice or more (I didn’t have to top at all lmao 😂). So I basically just let her heal and grow from the dog bites it turned out alright tho. I tried growing mainly organic I supplemented with only advanced organic big bud, bud candy, and fox farm big bloom. Other than that everything was organic the plant smells extremely sweet with punget gasey afternotes. I harvested a cola earlier (couldn’t help myself 🤷♂️) and it smelled like candy something similar to black licorice maybe starburst when I ground it up after the curing process. This plant smells great I just wish I got more production off it but that just leaves more room for improvement! Thank you everyone who has kept up on my harvest I had to cut it a week sooner because I started to notice it starting to revel. There’s been light leakage but i fixed the problem for future grows! ✌️
Loved growing this beauty she smelled amazing the whole way through. I wish I got more off her but hey I’ll get em next time. This strain isn’t too potent but you feel a nice calming relaxing wave and a gentle soothing high after your first hit. I feel as if there might be a higher amount of CBD in this girl because of that. At the end of the day it get my lady and I high and I’m all good with y’all thank you again for checking on my grows hope y’all stay around 👏
Friday July 30th, I top dressed with organic OMRI listed worm castings. I applied 1 1/2 inch layer of worm castings into dry soil and worked it in with my hands. I then watered with 3 tablespoons of blackstrap unsulphered molasses, 4 ml of bud candy (both are organic natural sugars and enzymes good for kickstarting microbial life, and for carbohydrates for the plant), watered with about a half gallon of tap water. Later on I plan on getting a hydroponic pump for teas, for regular water dechlorination, and I plan on actually Ph’ing the water correctly with organic amendments.
@Legendaryseedthumb,hey thank you my fellow grower I harvested 2 colas that we’re blocking a lot of light (guilty as charge lol) dried them and still have a bit in the curing but even THAT smells amazing and looks great!
