~ Will keep you updated! Happy Growing 🇨🇦
First week of my first grow is going well. On day 6 I increased the light per day to 20 hours. Mixed coco medium with 4-4-4 all purpose (3 tbsp per gallon)
Overall, this week went pretty well. I am dealing with hot temperatures due to a lack of insulation in the area I am growing in. Hooked up an Inkbird ITC-308 (Monday, Aug 23) to my portable AC unit to read the temperature within the grow tent and automatically turn on/off cooling to help maintain consistent temperatures which has been somewhat successful. The nodes throughout week 2 were very close together so I changed back to an 18 hour light schedule (Sunday, Aug 22). I have not added any nutrients and watering roughly every other day.
The plants have grown quite well throughout this week. I am planning to transplant soon. Going to try and make the grow area insulated to help with the climate in the coming months. Happy growing!
The plants are growing very nicely! I have moved both of the plants from 6 inch pots into Home Depot buckets. From here, I planted them in 3 gallons of coco with 3 tbsp of all purpose gaia green per gallon. It would've been smart to put more soil so the plants are not sitting this deep into the bucket as my lower nodes are having a hard time getting light now. May need to trim the buckets down. I also topped the plants after noticing the 6th node beginning to grow. Will keep you all updated next week. Happy growing!
Much more growth this week! I got the chance to cut down the buckets so they're not blocking any light for the plant. I want to defoliate and do some stress training, but this is my first grow and I don't want to mess anything up.
I've been watering them a lot more these last few days, but they've been releasing a lot of the water they've absorbed back into the tent, thus increasing the humidity significantly. I am not sure what I can do besides adding a small dehumidifier that can fit in the tent, however it won't be able to hold too much water. When my ac unit is running, the humidity drops from 80-90% to 40-50%, but once it turns off when the tent reaches the designated temperature, the humidity shoots back up within a minute. If anyone has any tips, it would be much appreciated! Happy growing!
Edit: I ended up removing a few large leaves that were blocking a lot of light from each of the plants.
I've been trying to take off some leaves little by little so I don't put the plants through too much stress. I will admit they are pretty bushy but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. These were supposed to be outdoor seeds, but I decided to grow inside once I got them.... I was far too late into the season and I wanted to start growing! I do want to look into getting some nutrients to feed the plants to get a better product. It seems like Advanced Nutrients is popular on this site.
As for the humidity goes, I started to open the door of my insulated box I've made for my grow tent (if anyone would like pictures of it for inspiration/interest, I can post it here). I've also started running 3 fans that circulates the air and it's done a great job at lowering the humidity, however humidity becomes a problem when it rains. Not much I can do about that, the tent is in a shed outside.
Flowering starts next week! Happy growing!
So this is officially my first ever week of flowering! I couldn't be more excited. Humidity has been around the low 50 range which shouldn't be an issue. Always have fans running for good airflow to prevent any mold. The plants are looking great. Happy growing!
The plant's have been growing very fast recently and really forming a nice shape. Pistils are beginning to appear but there is no bud yet and I am not exactly sure how long it will take for that to happen. I am going to need to add some Gaia 2-8-4 very soon because the plant is in more demand of Phosphorous during the flowering cycle so I am going to top dress it with some of that.
The buds are forming nicely and I've topped the plants with some 2-8-4 mixed with coco. Have definitely seen better results in the flowering after adding it. I've noticed on of my plants (Plant 1) are these spots that don't look harmful however I'm just curious, what is causing it? Let me know! Happy growing!!
Both plants are looking great!
Continue to water regularly and should be ready to harvest in about 3-4 weeks
Based on the amount of trichomes already on the leaves, I feel confident the bud is going to be covered in them! Can't wait to find out.
Happy Growing!
I gotta say, it feels like the weeks are going by faster.
Its been a pretty good week, plants look happy and buds are growing!
Had some powdery mildew on the leaves so I sprayed it with a mixture of milk and water (1/3 milk, 2/3 water) to help with that
Plants are looking good! Happy growing!
These past few weeks have been quite the ride.
Have had to cut off leaves or small branches because of the mildew which I really wanted to avoid doing.
I really hope I can just maintain it until Harvest and yield whatever I can.
I fixed the humidity problems and now the environment has been good for the plants.
Hopefully this all works out well! Happy growing!
I had to throw out one of the plants because it was covered in Mildew and I felt that it wouldn't be able to make it the rest of the way to harvest.
Now it's just this one left and I am worried that there's bud rot too but I'm not sure. Just saying this because of the purplish leaves but that could be from colder temperatures.
I just want to harvest this as soon as possible and clean the tent LOL😂 I've learned so much from this grow I must admit.
I wish the strain was more mold resistant as I did deal with a mildew problem causing me to throw out one of my two plants. Regardless, Im happy at least one of them was good to be harvested.
