The plant's have been growing very fast recently and really forming a nice shape. Pistils are beginning to appear but there is no bud yet and I am not exactly sure how long it will take for that to happen. I am going to need to add some Gaia 2-8-4 very soon because the plant is in more demand of Phosphorous during the flowering cycle so I am going to top dress it with some of that.
@sativaman, Oh yeah! I've noticed through my fifth week of flower that it is now a very strong smell! Sometimes Ill touch a bit of the flower and the smell that comes from my finger is crazy. I thought it would smell more like weed in the area that its growing in, but I gotta say its more of a very strong plant smell. But once you start to move close to it you really start to smell the strain and it really danks!
I saw your other journal with general hydro nutrients...
Thing is theoretically gaia green is not meant to work with coco coir. Coco is a lot different than soil (and is in fact hydro).
How did you watered your coco using the gaia products? Did you fertigate everyday with 20% runoff? Or did you top dressed and kept it moist without runoff? Or maybe something else??
@sativaman, I watered every other day with just regular water straight from my hose outside. I didn't put any nutrients or anything in the water either. I would water with roughly about 20% runoff give or take. I only top dressed the plant once and that was to put the Gaia Bloom so the plant would flower. I know that this isn't exactly a proper way of growing, especially in coco but I didn't have much knowledge when I started the grow and this seemed to be the most easy method on Youtube. I'm going to post my harvest in a few hours so stay tuned for that. The bud does look great, but the size of the nugs isn't spectacular.
@Lxcente, your girls look happy and healthy even with the humidity issues you have been dealing with. Plus, for a first time grow I have to say, job well done!
Best of luck with the grow and I'll be checking back to take a peek now and then. ๐
This is going to be interesting to see how your plant does: this is not the usual way to water and fertilise in coco but your plant seems happy and healthy! (do you know the site Coco for cannabis?) I love and use Gaia Green myself too but I am a soil guy. Inspired by Mr Cannucks??!! Let see how it goes in real life!
@sativaman I will have to check that site out! But yeah, I got into growing and learned from his videos! I'm glad they're doing well considering my lack of knowledge on growing but I will surely learn more as I continue to grow. Thank you for sharing the site! Can't wait to check it out
