Transferred six sprouts in Rapid Rooters to Solo cups. Added 1" Perlite to the bottom of each cup, sliced the sides. That provides a guide for perfect watering. When H20 comes out the sides, that's enough water.
CFLs have been as close as possible but some of them shot out anyways. As they grow in the humidity domes with the lights very close, the roots will grow as the stems thicken and leaves fan out nice and broad. By week 3 they should be stout at 3-4 nodes - even if they shoot up skinny at first you can curb it this way.
Doubled the nutrient levels now that we have some leaves. I was diluting the mix down to 400 EC but I'm really a little bit behind so ramped it to 600. This is my first grow in coco with canna nutrients. I want to be careful. Oh, I did add a teaspoon of molasses to this mix as well. The sites say to saturate the coco so I'm doing two waterings a day, fertigating at 600 EC. Next mix will go up another 200 or so.
Even the Gelat.OGs that were a couple of weeks old all eventually sprouted. Seems like this is an old, dry batch or something. The Seedsman reviews say there's a lot of success w Gelat.OG but as you can see, they don't look amazing. The LSD-25, White Widow look amazing though. The WW cracked, popped and sprouted in less than a week. It's either a very strong strain or a very lucky seed.
Just got a replacement pack of Strawberry Cheesecake Auto from Seedsman. One is germinating now. I only have room for 6 plants with the 5 gallon plastic grow bags. But I ordered some 3 Gal tall fabric pots w 9.5" diameter. Hopefully I won't have to give any of these away like I did last round.
The Autos seems to move much slower than Photos. You can see the difference in growth from seed in the same amount of time. In order to accommodate everything that sprouted, I decided to take the chance of moving the Blueberry Fem and White Widow Fem out of the 5 gallon plastic grow bags and put everything into tall 3 gallon fabric grow bags. Now I can fit 8 plants in the grow tent.
Since the flowering schedule is pretty loose, I sprouted a Strawberry Cheesecake which is in the incubation chamber now. It will be one of the eight. But the 2-3 Gelat.OGs that will be left will have to either be given away or I have one other idea. Tell me what you think. Leave them in the Solo cups right in the tent, in the spaces between the pots. They'll be limited in size, but they will flower. That would be a total of ten plants in the space.

I'm using coco for the first time. One site says to fertigate every watering and to keep the coco wet. On my soil grows I fertigate every other watering. Can I go every other one with coco, why or why not? The reason is these nutrients are kind of expensive and are going fast.

Topped the two Blueberries, the White Widow, the LSD-25 Auto and a Gelat.OG Auto. So far they all seem to have responded well. Everything is getting LST with garden pins. Ended the week by topping the last three Gelat.OGs. Now all five autos are topped. The rest will be Low Stress Training going forward.
Had forgotten to get something to catch water and some of the temporary trash bags were kind of heavy. Traded out for turkey tins. Now all 8 plants fit in waterproof aluminum pans so I can start extracting and measuring the runoff. Now I can feed a little bit more without worrying about spillage. Get those EC runoff targets happening. However, the one turkey item I forgot was a baster...
Keeping the EC around 11-1200. Watering 11am/11pm. Progress w the Gelat.OG Autos continues to be slow, but steady. My only concern is they'll flower too early. I'm still training. Every node or so to the edge of the container is the plan. That's going well. Every day I add another garden pin. When they get to the edge, I'll let them go vertical. The LSD-25 Auto is doing very well, as are the three photos, Blueberry x2, White Widow x1.
Noting that there are many diaries that show longer veg and flower times than the specified 8 weeks or 60 days from the seed sellers. Still, it concerns me but only time will tell.
So far, so good. Just slower than expected.
I continue to raise the EC to as high as 1200. But the runoff EC is around 590. Am I to up the input to 1400 now to compensate? Seems extreme. The plants are doing well other than slowness.
From what I can see is you have them in 3 gallon pots, Watering half a gallon twice a day. Half that can be water suspended in the pot so 1.5 gallons of water/nutrients are in the pot. That 1.5 gallons is EC of 590. When you add 0.5 gallons of 1200EC water to the pot it mixes with the 1.5 gallons of water already in the pot and would only increase it to 600 or so. I agree with @Hashy you don't want to go any higher then where you currently are. Less is always more and if they look happy.
Continuing LST out to the edges of the pots. Then they'll be left to grow straight up. If I hadn't trained, they'd be about 12-14". Hopefully the Autos don't start flowering until I've got them all to the edge to fill out the growth. Still seems to me that we get varied results in terms of how auto the autos turn out to be.
End of the week I added some Jack's 3-2-1 and some Refresh. Watching to see if any of it was too much. It's tricky because the three photo plants are getting the beefed up flowering nutrients and some of the spectrum of light. I also switched on the flower spectrum on the 1200w and the 600w has both veg and flower on. Hoping to get some Canna Boost soon but I had the Jack's and got good results last crop, which was soil though.
Why is my PH refusing to go down from 9s to 6 unless I quadruple the normal amount of apple cider vinegar to 12ml? Normally 3ml does the job. This week, ml somehow doesn't move the needle. The EC is a little higher, could that be it? The RO is normal starting at 8, this week 10+
Stop using vinegar for it.. it’s not made for this application. It obviously works, but it’s not stable within a few hours. Depending on what water you’re using it’s also not consistent.
Also if you’re changing feeds at all, it will take diff amounts of a pH down to get to desired pH
Another also - pH is not a linear scale. So each jump in a full number on the pH scale is 10 times more or less acidic or basic..
just get some pH down and you’ll have less issues for sure.
Others mentioned checking your pen - valid point for sure.
Added Recharge a couple of times. The LSD-25 seemed to wilt a little so I cut it back. The other plants weren't affected. When she started flowering, I put on Bloom lights on the 1200W and Veg/Bloom on the 600w. Three photos are in that corder w the LSD-25 so they need veg lights. Added 2/16 tsp Jack's, seemed to be too much so I cut it back to 1/16th which seems fine. Waiting to get some Canna BOOST.
The training on the four left Gelat.OGs continues, because I realized they're not flowering yet. The one in the back corner has filled out very well with this method, as you can see. The others are about 10 days younger so they'll catch up real soon.
My main concern is what this LSD-25 is going to yield. The stalks are thick, but the whole volume of the plant is small. We shall see. There's already a little bit of terps in the air.
What do you think this LSD-25 auto will yield? Stalks are thick, but volume of the plant small. Trained it as it grew, all the autos are slow growers. Some people seem to get big, fast growth but in this setup, it's been low and slow.
I grow LSD myself, got freebies from FastBuds more than a year ago, it's the last strain to try out and I left her last only because very rarely I see good harvest from that strain, but when you taste it - any amount will bring you joy.
Don't panic, but if your target is a lot of weed, try to search other strains for next grow.
They look small at yours, my guess is 25-35 g with your Cobs is more than easy achievable.

Added more recharge and cal mag. Got some pretty good veg going on everything. The LSD-25 is plodding along. We shall see. But the Gelat.OGs are starting to flower and the Photo WW, BB are blowing up.
Does "Flowering time 55-60 days" mean from seed to full maturity?
Or does it mean that once the plant starts flowering, it will be mature in 55-60 days?
Was under the impression that it was the former and that the autos would be fully dine in 60 days.
Was I wrong?

I would use that as a guideline for how the parents did and take it with a grain of salt, maybe a final decision here between two cities it may not be super affordable. Harvesting too early can lead to a pretty uncomfortable high, loss of terpene and cannabanoid production/maturation, yeild and just overall less quality product. So … ya grain of salt
I believe you're right about how thy market different types of seeds. Auto are sold with the impression that they are ready in, as you say 11-14 weeks. Which is true for most autos. Same goes for photos, you are only told the flowering time as with autos it is the most important info needed.Don't need veg info with a photo as that is upto the grower whereas knowing how long an auto takes to finish is more important as we have no control over flowering stage start... The Gelat.OGs (left) are blowing up. The roots are strong because the stalks are coming up super stout. Flowering has begun on all the autos now. The Gelat.OGs are budding tight right away. I envision a SUPER yield from them, which is surprising because they were very difficult to sprout and get up to speed as you can see in the early weeks. The LSD-25 is still looking pretty skinny. I'm seeing the buds thicken up a little and the scent is an outrageous, pungent fruity/spicey. I'll have to check my terp chart to get more specific as we go. The Blueberrys are completely blowing up. I don't know how I'm going to keep them out of the way until all of the autos are harvested. Maybe I'll have to top them again but I really want to see the bigger buds on this amazing plant. The leaves are huge and dark green. I have high hopes for the Bluerberries, but they'll have to wait until the autos are gone so I can flip to 12/12. The White Widow is remarkably spindly so I'm not sure the "across the board" nutrient approach is correct. I may need to make the photos their own batch.
The Gelat.OGs are blowing up. For as hard as they were to sprout, they're really solid now. Strong, thick stalks. If you measure from the floor, the height of the plats w LST and HST 1x is 24". But if you measure from the soil, it's 18". Meaning there is a lot more growth than it looks like in my confined space. These promise to be dense, dank and thick buds, as you can see from the pics. The LSD-25 I'm baffled about it. The trichomes are tiny, but the hairs are starting to turn red. I need to know a week in advance when it's going to be ready, but I still feel like it needs two more full weeks. That would put the LSD at 12 seeks, seed to harvest. Which is a bit more that most harvest diaries I see on here. White Widow is wispy, like a weeping willow. But growing. Blueberry one and two are sick. Had to top every branch. Might have to bonsai the eff out of them and top again. Depends when I can pull out the LSD-25.
Steady as she grows. Two rounds of defoliating. Training the photos; Blueberry x2, White Widow x1 to keep light on the LSD-25 buds. Had to top and top the photos - they're going nuts. Can't wait to get the LSD-25 out of there, maybe another 10 days. That will open a little room for the others. The Gelat.OGs are super strong from the roots up. I'm anticipating an unbelievable Mango terp profile around here. At the moment it's a sour pine profile due to the LSD-25.
Update: Began flush on LSD-25 on Day 71. The trichomes look underdeveloped but the terps are blowing up the space with a sweet sour pine. After 24 hours of flushing, the calyxes are swelling, more purple colors. The buds are thickening up and getting the sugar dusted look.
Just cut it today so will update after curing. Was a little slow and sensitive at first. Much lower yield than expected. Would grow again if I have extra space, depending on the smoke quality.
Flushing the LSD-25 for five days so far. Fattening up, ripening, expanding the calyxes. The trichomes are growing but still much smaller than expected. They're still mostly clear, with two or three cloudy, one or two amber. I feel like they'll be ready by Wednesday, Friday at the latest. That would bring them to about an 80 day harvest time, not 60 as labeled.
The Gelat.OGs are looking very strong. The only problem is the height limitation on my space. I'm having to SCROG them more than I'd like. So I'll be careful not to burn the buds with too strong of light at that distance. They should be ready I'm guessing in about 2 more weeks.
Blueberry and White Widow are fine. I stopped wasting PK and Bloom on them. They're getting a mix and feed before I add those for the Gelat.OGs. The LSD-25 is getting 6.0 clear water. I have 3" of perlite in the bottom of each container. That held nutrients for a while, but I now expect the LSD-25 fan leaves to start yellowing.
Harvested LSD-25 on Day 80. About 90% trichomes were cloudy. Not too many amber. Hope that's correct. The EC's been up around 2200 for everything. These Gelats arre nuts. Now there's more space. Defoliated a lot. Turned on lower induction fan. Keeping the humidity under control.
Mistakenly, I was adding Canna PK in high levels because I thought it was for the whole flowering cycle. Yesterday I realized that the PK is only for the first few days so stopped it. Is that why my LSD-25 harvest was so thin? Are my Gelat.OGs OK? One of them has fat, thick buds.
All PK boosters are for week 5 to 7 of flower generally, it's not flowering period nute, it's boost ;)
More likely buds would stay too small, but nuggy when you use it too early, at least from grows what I saw at other people in life, not here .
Now you know and can do way better using that knowledge !

The tent got so overgrown it was an emergency to build something new so I built something new in my tiny space. But now there's a flower tent with 24" more height. The Gelats are totally opening now. They were very bound up in the small tent. Moving the gelats to the bigger tent opened up the photos to occupy the veg tent. When the Gelats are all harvested, I'll move the Blueberrys and White Widow into the flower tent. So much space. What a relief!
The three photos had to be super cropped. Tied a new net up for them. Had to cut the old one off to get the Gelats out.
Now the veg tent is super cropped, scrogged and flipped to 12/12. The autos will continue on 18/6.
After a week in the new big tent, the four Gelat.OGs are all recovering from their former cramped conditions. Thankfully, the worst that will happen is a couple of burned tips will have a little bit of that at the ends but not much. Using a little PK for 3 days only.
Will post the blueberry and white widows but they're going to be much better once they move into the big tent after the Gelat.OGs are all harvested.
It's definitely the stoniest of that grow. I felt convince autos were of some value after getting to the end finally with these. I still have a tiny bit that I'm saving. 7/10😀
Of the four Gelat.OGs, the oldest two were flushing. One got harvested today. The trichomes were cloudy and about 20% amber, but not as much amber as I would normally want. Just need the space and to get on w the next grow. This one has really been slow from germination forwar
Harvested one more Gelat.OG. Waited as long as I could. It was 90% cloudy trichomes but not enough red for my taste. But I needed the space. The Blueberry and White Widow photos outgrew the old tent. Now there are five in the new tent. But now everything is on 12/12. The autos have been on 18/6. They're about a week away from harvest. Started flushing today. Though the tent is a little tight at the bottom, there's still way more room, especially a good 16" more height space.
Finally cutting some branches from the Gelat.OG. It seems that all of the @seedsman seeds are very slow. The first plant cured OK. Kind of woody, not too sweet. We'll see what these are like in a few weeks. I have one more of these that has two big branches that I'm letting to until I see amber, no matter what. I waited a long time on the other onese but since the buds looked like they were decaying, I harvested.

Hi are they autos if so what time are the lights on ? Need least 18 hours a day and I'm thinking why haven't they flowering yet has mine started flowering in 4 weeks from seed
@Growladyeastmidlands, yes all the precise strain info is on this grow diary. There are four plants of Gelat.OG auto, one LSD-25 Auto, one White Widow photo and 2 Blueberry photos. They're on 20 hours of light, 4 hours dark. As far as I'm concerned, the plants look really healthy and are growing very fast - 2"+ per day. I'm happy if they fill out before flowering. But the LSD-25 started flowering before the others. The Gelat.OGs are still not showing white hairs but they're kicking butt otherwise. Take a look at the Week 7 pics.
