Hey Guys, first time grower here so wish me luck! - purchased a 90x90 (3x3 for the mericans) tent as well as a Viparspectra VA1000 LED light, 6" carbon filter and all the necessary metres and stuff. Using a super soil mix from Dr Greenthumb. Mixed an extra 2l of worm castings into the soil for good measure and used a worm casting/perlite/coco fibre mix to provide an area immediately around the seedling to grow its first roots. Seeds are from 420fastbuds - 2 OG Kush autos and 1 Stardawg auto. I was initially going to use 12l aerated pots but last minute decided to put 1 OG Kush seed into a 28l pot to see if size really does matter. Soaked seeds in water until the shell popped then simply placed it in the soil. It took 3 days for them to crack the soil and they're looking nice and healthy. Light settings are 60% veg and 30% bloom - 72cm from the plant. Just trying to manage humidity as it's winter here atm so cut some bottles in half and put them on top of the seedlings for the next day or two. Happy growing everyone!

Overall a successful week! Following on from the initial trend the Stawrdawg in the 12l pot is still about half the size and behind in the number of new leaves growing. The OG Kush's are both doing really well, standing 4cm tall and growing really quickly. Considering the Stardawg is a different strain I'm not too worried about it being a runt so far. I guess time will tell how big it wants to grow, if anyone has experience with this strain hit me up! I watered 3 times over the week ~150ml for the plants in the 12l pots and ~ 300ml for the OG Kush in the 28l pot. Water was pH'd to 6.3-6.7 and I limited it to the area immediately around the stem. I've been struggling to maintain humidity levels over 55% and didn't want to fork out for a humidifier as I've already invested a fair amount already (next grow!). If anyone knows some easy ways to increase humidity I'm all ears. I also turned both my fans on to their lowest setting yesterday to circulate the air a bit better and start to get the stems moving a little bit. Root Roids and Fruit Roids from Dr Greenthumb should arrive on my doorstep early next week. These are a combination of mycorrhizae & nutrient solubilizing bacteria and should help with the microbiome of the living soil. I've chosen to not use soil amendments this grow as it is my first and I would like to see the difference in yield with the next grow. During the week I lowered the Viparspectra light to 64cm from the plants and incrementally increased the veg setting to 100% and the bloom to 60%. Side note: I'm locked out of my email and can't verify it which means I can't reply to comments. If anyone knows if I can change the email for my grow diary account let me know. That's about it for this week, happy growing!

What's up, ladies and gents! This week was fun - spring is coming on strong and I managed to get out in the garden to start setting up for some spring crops. Meanwhile, in the tent things are going smoothly. I decided that something needed to be done about how dry the soil was. I didn't soak it enough prior to sowing the seeds and because they're aerated pots they dry out really fast! I have read that it is good practice to keep watering to a minimum and water around the stem when they are young so safe to say the rest of the pot was like the Sahara. Considering this is going to be an organic grow with a super/living soil I didn't want to sacrifice the microbiome so I went out and bought some organic pea straw mulch and a wetting agent. I laid the mulch down and watered the pots with 5% of their soil volume which was 550ml for the small pots and 1250ml for the big pot. Ended up with the slightest bit of run off and the soil has stayed moist for days now so I'm happy with how it turned out. Still waiting on my Root Roids to arrive and that should aid with kick-starting the life of the soil. The only issues this week were (again) really low humidity levels (I'm talking 35-45%) which isn't desirable but, hey, it is what it is. The Stardawg is still lagging but growing and doesn't look ill so that must count for something... Anyways that's me for the week - adios amigos =)

Hi everyone! Week 3 done and dusted. The girls are looking better everyday. They are starting to grow little side branches and lots of new leaves but are still really short and the node spacing is minimal. The Stardawg is still being a dawg so I tried sending it some more positive vibes to get her going. Earlier in the week I moved the light down to 54cm from the plants. The Root Roids and Fruit Roids I ordered only came today so I used some Seasol, which is a seaweed solution when watering mid-week. They seemed to love it and are moving on up! Next watering they'll get a dose of the roids and in 2-3 days Ima bend these girls over to show me their secrets ;) Stay tuned! p.s. last photo is a bonus shot of some veggies I'm starting out in a no-dig garden

Hey ladies and gents, Week 4 plus a couple done and dusted and what a week it was! Early on in the week I pegged down the 3 girls as I was seeing signs of pre-flowering coming on fast. In addition to this, I have been leaf tucking on the regular which has worked to good effect. These genetics are crazy fast! It's a shame I didn't have everything dialed in for the crucial first 21 days but they are showing signs of rapid growth now. During the week I lowered the light and gave Root Roids and Fruit Roids on alternate feedings. I also received the humidifier which has been a great help, I wish I got it sooner! A couple of branches have perked up and are almost in line with the main stem, hopefully putting me in a good place for the stretch phase. The photos show how I did it please please give me any pointers if you have any! This is my first grow and I've made plenty of small errors so the more helpful comments the better. Anyways not to bore you any longer enjoy the photos. PEACE
