Seeds in starter cups before transplanting to 5 gallon bucket. 1/4 is sprouting and taking off. The others are lagging far behind. Suspect soil was too hot since using fox farms soil with some super soil mixed in. Flushed the other 3 and then all sprouted within the day.

Gave a small bit of water to plant finally. Have been worried after overwatering first attempt. First sprout grew a little lanky before I moved light closer. Seeing a yellow spot and slight curl. Other sprouts are not looking great, growth is slow. 2/4 suspect are not salvageable. One appears to have grown upside down and is now goin back underground. Added a second dehumidifier to tent. Still can’t get humidity down below 50%. I’ve read blue dream seedlings need much lower humidity than usual, 30-50% instead.

I have a yellow spot on my seedling that appeared today. Seeing a slight curl in one of the leaves but can’t tell if it’s going up or down, more like sideways.

You will be ready for transplant soon. Seedlings can do weird things. Just don’t over water and don’t worry about it—- it will grow out of the weirdness

Transplanted to final containers. Changed to MH lights, still heavy blue spectrum before changing to flower bulbs with more red. Bottom leaves still look poor but leaving alone. Have been treating with azamax now. Gave first seedling nutrient mix of fox farms grow big. Started lst. The other seedling really sprung up too.

Plants really started going this week. Gave the second plant (started maybe a week and a half after first) first feeding. Really took off and is catching up quick. For a slow start on both of these, they seem to be picking up speed now with some feeding. Temps still on the high side at 84-90 but added an AC along with the co2 bag to help keep it in low to mid 80’s. These MH lights put off crazy heat. Wishing I went with LED now for the same cost. Added cal mag to nutrient blend. Did small defoliation of big fan leaves covering growth. I’m sure I could have done better or more but I’m worried about shock since these are autos. Continued my poor attempt at lst.

Half my light is out. This thing was a waste. Ballast didn’t last 2 months. Going LED. Operating on 1 300 cfm until it arrives from Amazon. Continued to remove fan leaves and lst the big one while leaving the one that started a week later to its own devices to see the difference. Moved air filter to ceiling for help with heat removal. Temps down to around 81 without AC on. Humidity staying around 45-50. Growth rate seems normal now 9-20 new light came in as well as full fox farms lineup. Started fox farms nutrient lineup feeding schedule diluting a bit as people say it should be half or 75% of their recommendation

Flushed this week. Saw some discoloration on lower leaves on the bushy ones. Removed the bad ones. Sprayed with azamax as usual. Continued to follow the fox farms regiment. Watering more often, daily except flush days. Saw with coco I could water multiple times a day but since I mixed soil into it (noob mistake not understanding the difference in grow mediums) I’ve been watering once a day or less depending how the leaves are looking. So far have been adding nutrients once a week but may start twice a week feeding and doing a weekly flush.

Flushed and followed with nutes. Some brown spots on a few lower leaves of the shorter one. Maybe mag deficient? On the fence whether to defoliate the big one for bigger bud sites or just leave them both alone until harvest. So far, the one completely natural has much more developed colas and is shorter and bushier. I’m sure it’s because I don’t know what I’m doing because I thought the point of lst and pruning was an even canopy with more light hitting bud sites. Interesting that the natural one doesn’t really have one main cola but is pretty even and the one I attempted lst has a taller main cola. Again, I know it’s because I’m a noob and I’m sure a pro would have completely different results. Second batch of same strain I started has crazy growth rate compared to these guys since I made slightly less mistakes. For a while, I thought that I made a mistake purchasing seeds from ilgm based on reviews and message boards. However, so far I have to say that the seeds are great and totally on the grower. While I had a few failures to germinate starting out, I think that was totally my fault. Second and third batch I started all sprouted, even one set starting seed directly in soil. Trichomes are difficult for me to really see clear vs cloudy (I should have just spent a few more bucks to get a digital microscope instead of this jeweler scope) but I can see the amber ones well enough to make harvesting decision. I know I’m still a good bit away from harvest, 2-4 weeks away according to breeder spec sheet.

Seeing some discoloration on the big one. Suspect potassium deficiency. Gave feeding a day early to hopefully rectify. 10-16: flushed plants with sledgehammer running 3 gallons through ea. Gave light feeding based on question responses as people suggested lockout and too high ppm due to FF feeding schedule. Also bought a new PH pen to hopefully ease the pain of adjusting PH. Using dropper and ph test liquid for plants in 3 different stages was just too much time. Not the most expensive tester but also not the cheapest so hopefully keeping clean and calibrated will keep it working properly. Tested the first flush runoff ph and actually saw it come out at 6-6.5

Leaf discoloration- possible potassium deficiency? Feeding fox farms following soil feeding schedule twice a week. Watering every other day or every 3 days pre-flush bi weekly. 70% coco and 25% FF ocean forest 5% super soil concentrate. Due for flush. Should I increase feeding?

it's fox farm.... you are following instructions... it's probably locking something out or really acidic. They tell you to feed WAY too high of EC. check ph of runoff... realize it's only a hint of what the soil actually is, but if something is batshit crazy it'll stand out. Do tht first as it is easiest and less intrusive. a soil slurry is an option too.. don't use top of soil as it has a lot more evaporation going on and shouldn't have many roots that superficial anyway. whatever pH water you use.. what results merely points in direction of actualy pH ... it shuld stop a bit short of your target soil pH... if it goes further, the actual pH is likely even lower -- you are seeing weighted average of the water you used with what dissolves from soil into it. highly unlikely it is alkaline using FF nutes. After looking at recent week, i am twice as confident as before tht this is lockout. you are providing cal mag.. so, that isn't the cause. either pH locking out various thing or too much P/K can have similar impact... i'd drop back P/K components of mix after ensuring pH isn't major problem. ~6ph is fine.. you are mostly soilless with a minor supersoil/FFOF component. the irrigtion methods for soilles and supersoil/soil kinda contradict each other. you want 10-15% runoff with soilless to maintin pH and nute concentrations in soil... 10-15% runoff just leeches the good stuff from your soil/supersoil at a faster rate than necessary. i'd think about doing one or the other. also, super easy to diagnose a soillless or hydro grow.. you can calculate ppm from guaranteed analyis labels and no guessing on what concentrations the soil/supersoil contains and of what.... supersoil and soil is a bit more of a balancing act... consistency of putting it together, then adjusting based on what you see each grow to avoid problems the next run. both are great options, don't ge tme wrong... i clearly have a bias for soilless/hydro... total control, easy to adjust. soil/supersoil can be even easier maintenance... simply add water.. how fucking cool is that? bit longer road to get there... potentially better tasting buds according to some.

Plants continuing to yellow. Cut back on nutes end of last week after flush. Gave a very light feed with cal mag and some micronutrients. New ph meter looks like it’s working well. Trichomes still mostly glass looking but a couple spots have some amber at roughly 10% for shorty. Thinking I still have at least a week left for the shorter one. The larger one looks like at least two weeks out still. Fine with me, hoping those buds fatten up more. Going to give only ph water to shorty from now until harvest I think. 10-21 trichomes started changing faster than I anticipated. Pistils on the bushy one still not looking ready but trichomes are pretty cloudy around most of the plant with 10%+ amber tips. Sugar leaves on buds were starting to yellow. Think it’s time to place in the dark. Due to delta of trichomes and personal schedule getting busy, going to chop both Sun and start drying. Gave final flush with FF sledgehammer and ran 3 gallons of ph water through them. I was amazed at the lack of smell in the tent until I turned off my exhaust fan to adjust vent. Wow, what a difference exhaust fan with carbon filter and dehumidifiers make in reducing smell. Smells heavenly and getting pretty excited for the harvest.

This was the first of 3 staggered grows of ILGM blue dream. Plant does really well with LST and is needed for a large pot or will soon run out of grow space. Yields can be huge and haven’t seen a small plant yet. I made a ton of mistakes and these still produced great yields. 315 grams for two plants with just 500w or less of light for majority of grow. (Occupying half of 4x4 tent with 200w led and a 315 CMH.) ILGM did a great job on the strain! I would buy again for sure. I’ve tried starting seeds in paper towels, water, and directly in soil with success. The colas can get huge and I’m seeing more success with moderate defoliation and LST. I would say the strain is pretty hardy, I believe these survived poor watering practices and nutrient burn and still came out growing decently sized.

Fantastic first experience. I’m super happy with the results and the knowledge I learned. I made every mistake possible and had a few issues with lights/timers going out, leaving in others care while on work trips, and tons of temp issues. Even though the buds aren’t as dense as I would like and I harvested a little earlier than I would have wanted, I’m happy with the overall results and I’m confident it had nothing to do with the strain, all grower caused issues. My temps being too high seemed to be an issue with lower bud density, along with an early harvest. With a light wet trim and then a final trim before going into jars, it left me with enough to make several great batches of cannabutter from trim. 315g in jars curing.

Stuck seedling cups in the dirt of my 5 gal bucket based on feedback about clear cups being bad for root system from light. Just stuck them there to keep light out for now. Also tried dehumidifier outside the tent yesterday to see if pulling in dried air was better than drying the air inside the tent but watched humidity rise when trying it. I have heard of building a dry air reservoir by sticking dehumidifier in a large box and then piping that air in the intake to tent. Not sure if it’s worth it, my room has never felt moist or high humidity but the sensor in the tent seems to think so.
