After much online searching, the leaves are showing symptoms of variegation. Apparently this is rare and can go either poorly or fine, only time will tell.
Continued variegation of plant leaves, latest set so far has not exhibited this condition. Plant has overcome variegation by weeks end. Add Recharge 8/15 to water schedule, Add Calmag 8/21 to water schedule, Topped 8/21 aft 3rd Internode development
Watered w 1/4 strength nutes 8/23 125ppm, topped end of prvs week, new growth from 3rd internode (and below) now accelerating. 8/26 Watered w Nutes 350ppm, 8/27 Watered w Nutes 350ppm
8/30 Transplanted to 5gal Pot, Soil Mix: FFOF 80% / Perlite 20%, Begin LST, 9/1 Watered w Recharge mix 800ml total, 9/4 water plus cal mag 800 ml 250ppm, 9/5 cont LST & Defoliate lower
Final Week of Veg, start flowering next week. Watering consisting of 800ml water + 5ml CalMag + 5ml/ea Base A & B (pH=6.5, 580ppm/1.2EC), 9/18 Start Flower Cycle & Nutrients, 800ml water + 5ml CalMag + 10ml/ea Base A & B (pH=6.2, 860ppm/1.8EC)
9/20 Week1 of Flowering, Photoperiod now 12/12, Watering w Nutes almost daily, select defoliation periodically to open bottom lighting, 9/25 first pistils observed, growth continuing, look healthy to my untrained eye ;) [Nutrient Solution Makeup: 1gal water + 5ml CalMag + 10ml/ea Base A & B (pH=6.1, 1040ppm/2.1EC)]
Week 2 Flowering [Flowering Nutrient Solution: 1gal water + 5ml CalMag + 10ml/ea Base A & B (pH=6.1, 910ppm/1.94EC)], progressing well, pistils starting to pop out, lots of growth, overall very happy w canopy level
10/25 Week Start: Pistils are still lime green in color, colas are starting to thicken.
10/27: Noticed a few pistils on some lower bud sites now changing to orange/brown color, colas still swelling and smell is increasing.
10/30: Approximately 20 percent of bud sites now have orange/brown color pistils.
Watering daily: 1000ml of Nutrient Solution: 5ml Cal-Mag, 10ml Base A, 10ml Base B per 1 gal water (6.1pH, ~920ppm / 1.92 EC)
Note: Water measures 7.3pH and 80ppm straight from the tap, adding above nutrient combo brings it down to 6-6.1pH EVERY time. I've not had to adjust pH once so I'm really happy with Humboldts pH balancing and removing the need for pH adjustment solutions.

Breeder states 9 week flowering period so next week will be a flush and start of pH'd water only
Week Summary: Going really great, keeping watchful eye on Trichomes, the bud sites continue to swell, noticeable blue purple tint to buds up close, couldn't be more happy. Changed watering schedule a bit, now watering 1500ml every other day. Select defoliation to open light for lower bud sites.

Flushing: IF breeder states 9wk flowering, should I flush at 7 wks (from first visible flower) OR is the better method to check trichomes for a majority to be cloudy as the indicator to flush?
For a first grow I do suggest you start a flush two weeks before projected harvest.
I did it just to be sure to not have any nutrients left in my smoke. I didn’t want my hard work to go to waste.
But I think when you start seeing 50% milky tricromes is a good time to start flushing. As you reach 90% milky and some amber she should be good to harvest.
It’s definitely a balancing act and daily inspections and your gut will tell you what’s best for your specific grow. A loupe or a pocket microscope will definitely aid with the inspection.
You definitely have the right mindset of shooting for the breeders recommendations.

11/15 - Trichome Check - roughly 75% clear, 25% cloudy, will check again in 2-3 days, but definitely starting to mature, expect to start flushing at some point this week
11/17 - 7wk mark from first visible flower, observed 25-50% cloudy Trichomes, flushed with 6.2 pH water draining excess, anticipate harvest in 10-14 days
11/17 - Included picture of 2nd Blue GSC I've been growing side by side with this diary. The 2nd plant was planted 3 weeks behind the plant seen in this diary and only had LST with no topping. The plant actually surpassed IMO the one I've kept a diary on and I'd have to attribute that to a combination of not being topped and a slightly larger pot giving it more room to grow.
11/21 - Inspect trichomes, 90% cloudy, 5-9% clear'sh, 1% amber
Watering: 1500ml of 6.2ph Water every other day now until harvest

Harvested two(2) plants, one I kept this diary of, the second that wasn't followed. Diary Harvest resulted with 71g / 2.54oz, the Non-Diary Harvest resulted with 107g / 3.82oz,
GRAND TOTAL of Harvest 178g / 6.36oz. Wow, really happy with how this turned out for my first grow, was hoping for a couple of ounces at best so this far surpassed my expectations! (22.25g / sq ft)
