Just one plant on this run. I’m going organic and trying to keep things simple. Using Coast of Maine Stonington soil. I filled the center of the pot with about a liter of their Sprout Island seed starter mix. Planted the seed directly into the 5 gallon pot. 🤞
8/25 - 2 days since planting……
8/26 - 3 days since sowing the seed, still underground
Temps have been 77-79, RH 60-65. The light is on 24/7 at about 40%, 28” high.
I’ve been trying to keep the soil evenly moist with frequent light watering. Using plain tap water, set out 24 hours to evaporate the chloramine. Our water report says the avg pH is 7.8, solids 276 ppm. The litmus paper test I did looks like 7 pH. So it’s high, but I’m not gonna worry about it. Supposedly, an organic grow with good soil can deal with water up to 8 pH. We’ll see.
8/27 - Sprouted! 🌱🎉
She came up during the night, so a little under 4 days from planting.
Here’s my setup:
AC Infinity 632 tent 20”x36”x62”
AC Infinity S4 in-line fan and carbon filter
Viparspectra XS1500 light
Pure MistAire humidifier (2)
Accurite thermometer/hygrometer
6” Lasko clip fan
5 gallon fabric pot
I found some good VPD charts and hopefully I can keep the temps and RH zoned in. I bought a second humidifier which has helped a lot. I can regulate the RH pretty well now.
For nutrients I have a couple of Coast of Maine’s dry amendments for top dressing. They say that their Stonington mix, without adding any nutes, can feed a plant for about 30 days in a 5 gallon pot. But I will use Recharge to keep a good microbe herd grazing in the soil.
Oh man, sorry you had to re start. I appreciate you listing what you though was wrong with the grow, helps us newbies out! I wish you luck on the next run! Can't wait to watch the next grow, especially since we both have skywalkers going!
Great tip to not use too much seed starter soil. I never thought about that. Thanks for sharing that on your week 2! Looking forward to seeing it's transition to the "good soil"
@Growaholic, Yeah, I read somewhere to use that amount of “light soil” in the center so it’s not too hot for the seedling stage. But obviously seed starter soil is too light.
Condolences my friend, we all mourn the ones we lose. All efforts into the new ones and I’m sure they will be all the better for it, and a fitting end to a chapter in your grow journey 👊💚🔥
Hey bro looking great, im growing the same strain although im not certain of the brand. Look forward to seeing how both ours turn out and if they flower at similiar times etc, im a newbie so fingers crossed. Happy growing brother!

@Rosinhood, Thanks man, that makes me feel better. I guess I’m being a bit paranoid about her shade of green, lol. I’ll stay the course, onward and upward!
