This will be my first time growing with coco. Two strawberry slushes S1 from CopyCat. Will be following Mr. Canuks Grow supercocomix, instead of Gaia Green I will be using Earths dust since it’s not available in my area unless I order online which has a high price and I already had Earths dust laying around. Don’t know what to expect but we see how everything goes.
Once seeds where placed in coco it took about 38hrs for them to pop out. By day 2 they where showing growth. They where cover under a sandwich bag for 7 days then removed. Have only gave them filtered water PH at 6.0.
Grow this week has been slow, maybe too much water. I’m going to let it dry a bit and keep a close eye. Pheno 1 has stretched up. It’s 5 inches now. Pheno 2 is a lot slower growing it’s only 3 inches. Light was 24 inches and it was just dropped to 18inches on the day 14.
The last 3 days of week3 they where moved inside their main tent under the Mars hydro FCE3000. I saw a big improvement in growth as pheno 2 hasn’t been doing too well. I believe the growth wasn’t as rapid as I expected because I feel like I didn’t let them dry out. Something I’m still adjusting too. I know they will start exploding in growth within the next few days. I’ll keep an eye out for this. I might do a water with cal mag just to play it safe.
Pheno 1 has improved in growth, still feel it’s very slow but I does look healthy. She grew 1.5 from last week and top of that I toped the fifth node. Pheno 2 finally showing some improvement. Hopefully I can top her this week. I feel the slow growth is based on the heat. It did get to 90 degrees at times but it’s starting to cool down where I get 72-78 at night.
At 32 they got transplanted to a 1gallon pot with amended coco. Roots looked healthy. Added mykos to roots. By day 35 they seem super healthy. I can tell the growth is taking off.
Growth is looking nice. Did some defoliation to get those colas some light. They been topped a few times. Waiting for another week or two for there final 5 gallon pot. Then flip to bloom.
Well this was a weird week for me. I got hit with caterpillars so had to spray them down. This really messed with my crop. Stunt them and burned some of the leafs. But everything seems in control and coming back the life. Next week I’m repotting to 5 gallon fabric pots and adding trellis net to get them ready for flower
