THC - 28%
45% Indica/ 55% Sativa
This grow was more out of necessity than for fun. I did only the bare minimum required to achieve good quality and yield. There was no experimentation this time. I stuck to the methods I'm most comfortable with. Thankfully it was smooth and no major issues with the automated watering/drainage system and excellent genetics by Fastbuds.
All three plants started flowering at roughly the same time. One plant displayed a more typical sativa growth pattern, while the other two leaned more toward indica characteristics. Despite the differences in structure, all three produced excellent bud formation.
The plants responded very well to both LST and defoliation. They bounced back quickly despite aggressive training. And boy, was I aggressive with the supercropping to maintain an even canopy, especially during the flowering pphase.
One thing I particularly enjoyed was watching the terpene profile evolve every few days. During the early weeks of bloom, the aroma was sweet and fruity. As flowering progressed, it developed a sweeter herbal character. Thankfully, it was never so overpowering that the air filtration system couldn't keep up.
I harvested all three plants when the majority of the trichomes were cloudy, with a small percentage turning amber. I opted for a dry trim this time around. The final yield came to 424 grams, which is quite impressive considering the relatively small plant size and short flowering period.
For the first smoke test, I used a dry herb vaporizer after two weeks of curing. It's still a little early to fully assess the terpene profile, but my initial impression is pretty great. The sweetness immediately reminded me of Strawberry Cough. The flavour was pleasant, and the effects came on fairly quickly.
The effects are what I would expect from a well balanced hybrid. It starts with a noticeable boost in mood and creativity before gradually transitioning into a calm, relaxing body high. I can tell the THC content is on the higher side because I feel slightly groggy the next morning. No biggie, it's simply a matter of titrating the right dose for my needs. That's why I prefer to use dry herb vaporizers.
Overall, this has been an excellent grow with very satisfying results. The combination of reliable genetics, minimal complications, and a solid harvest made for an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Until the next grow, friends.
Adios.
