I finally received my winnings from Female Seeds for coming in the top 10 of Diary of the Month and I couldnt have been more pumped for new strains. Germination rate is low here as I planted 4 into soil and only one germinated. 25% germination isnt something I want but I cant complain to much as I have never grown Female Seeds products and they were free. Germination took longer for this one but she is out of the soil and looks to be happy once the casting of the seed comes off of her. I took the seeds that didnt germinate; along with another pack of Female Seed Autos and threw those in water to see if I can get any more to germinate. I hope I can get 50% germination out of them since I would like to grow 6 plants this round.
Well she is a bit of an ugly little plant at this time but I plan to take care of her and watch her grow into a pretty little lady lol. She was pretty stuck in her shell but sees to be spreading out and is trying to unwrinkle herself. She seems to be around 2 days behind the Durban which is ok since she is supposed to be done around 2 weeks before the Durban. Just got to keep giving her good care and environment so she becomes a happy plant. Im enjoying watching her get better each day.
This week was smooth for this little lady. She looks normal besides her first leaves; which I am not sure why they turned out the way she did. I have a feeling that a lot of people who say Fox Farm Ocean Forrest is a hot soil and this is why. I had three more of these autoflower seeds germinate and get inch tails. One is hanging on for dear life and the other two didnt take to the soil at all. I have not had very good luck with these seed and I want to know why! LOL. either way those seeds didnt take and this one did and she seems to be very happy with her home. She is getting bigger each day and has a smell coming off of her already. I am going to start training her this week and see if I can make her into a bigger plant. She is getting water every few days and seems to be happy with it. I have added some nutrients to one feeding this week and plan to start doing more this nutrient feedings this week. I know my wife is excited for this one to get done as its more her style of cannabis to smoke. Im going to keep this lady happy, I hope lol. Happy Growing everyone!
This Week we started to do some training on this little lady and I think she enjoyed it. She is becoming a bush but starting to stretch a bit more as she is getting more light. She seems to do ok with the little nutrients I am giving her but as you can see she doesnt like it much either. Looks like maybe a Cal-Mag issue but I think she just didnt like the Big Grow or the Open Sesame. My tent has been getting a bit hot I think around 78-81 at times but she seems to be enjoying it so I have let the tent do its thing. I am excited to see her stretch and see what kind of buds she starts to grow. All in all she is happy and enjoying herself at this time. Hope everyone's grows are going well! Happy Growing.
This little lady surprised me big time this week with all her growth. She started out looking like she was going to have a rough time but after 34 from planting her I am very happy with how she looks. She definitely has the big fan leaves of an Indica but It looks like she may stretch out to be a really good size plant. She is full of leaves and looks like she is starting to get some pre-flowers. She seems to be thriving on the nutrients but even with the minimum going into her I still see some nutrient burn on her. I took away a few fan leaves to help her grow out and get light to the important bud sites and i am hoping this will help with air flow was well. She is very bushy so I like getting some of her fan leaves off was a good move. I continued to train her this week as well and she seems to be a happy lady. Due to one of my Auto Durbans being so tall I has to move the light away from her but I hope it gives her some height. I am going to keep pushing her and see if i can get a good outcome. Hope all is well with everyone is doing well. Pictures are from day 27 from seed to day 34. Happy growing
Easy week for this pretty lady. She turned into a bush and was in need of some defoliation and will need some more this week I assume. She is starting to stretch more each day and her buds seem to be close to each other at this time. I will try and get better pictures of her this week to show how she looks. Each branch seems like it will have great bud coverage so I am excited to see what she does. She seems to be doing great with nutrients and with the amount of light she is getting. She is the shortest of the ladies and is the furthest away from the light but I am hoping that helps her stretch a bit more. I am super excited to see what she does the next month. Hope all is well, Happy Growing!
There is so many leaves on this plant I find something new almost everyday to remove. I did a good defoliation on her this week and it seemed to help her stretch some. I dont know if she will get any bigger but she is going to have some nice branches full of buds. She seems to be doing just fine. I have been doing nutrients every other day and just water the other days. She is getting around .25 gallons a day and the temps have been moving from 79-81 throughout the 20 hours of lights. She seemed to get darker over the week but looks happy and healthy. I am excited to see if she does any more stretching or if she is just going to pack on the weight. Hope all is well; happy browing.
This pretty lady is doing great and seems to be very happy throughout the week. She is thirsty and getting ready to fatten up nicely; I think. LOL. I was looking over her sometime this week and thought I was seeing male parts! I put a few pictures of what I was concerned about up top but after really looking at the pictures I took, I realized they had hairs coming out of them and I should be ok; turned out I was too stoned to be working on them. IF these are male parts my whole tent is F*&ked but its a risk we all take. I think she is moving a long nicely but am surprised she isnt moving faster with bud production. I am excited to see if she will get any purple in her as the temps are getting much cooler when the lights are off. A few hairs have turned orange but its random and only on a few buds. Over all its been a great week; she seems healthy and happy! Hope all is well; Happy Growing!
This little lady is just pushing along but is getting a bit nutrient burn on her tips. I have been pushing her a bit hard this week and skipped all water feeds and did nutrients each time. hoping she is ready in 2-3 weeks. She is getting frosty but its hard to tell what type of smells are coming off of her as her roommates are extremely overwhelming with their smell. She is keeping a nice lime green tone, besides the nutrient burn of course. She is bushy and happy; excited for her to make me happy. Hope all is well with everyone and their grows! Happy Growing
This little lady was placed in the dark last night and I am going to see if 48-72 hours of darkness is going to be any different from just 24 hours. Her trichomes started showing me amber colors, not much but she showed an amazing amount of milky ones for me to see that she is at her peak of THC production. I dont like having much amber in my trichomes as I prefer the head high. Even though this is a hybrid I still hope to get all the effects its supposed to give at this time. Her last feeding I gave her ice water (left ice cubes in pot) with a PH around 5.9. After doing some research she looks more like the photoperiod strain from female seeds but seems too look similar to what has been shown in diaries here. I wish she got bigger before she showed me she was ready. She is a pretty lady and has a nice smell to her. The smell is normal and comes off sweet but isn't close to how strong her roommates are. I am hoping to get 2 or 3 oz off her but thats a few weeks away. I will update next week on how harvest went and the wet weight, excited to see how things turn out in a few weeks. Hope everyone is doing well, Happy Growing.
This lady is hanging and drying and has been for about 4 days. She spent 72 hours in the dark and I think she loved it as she came out sparkling. She doesnt smell as strong as I was hoping and she seemed to have nice dense buds. I still always wonder if i cut her down to early and if she could have put on more weight. Fingers crossed for good buds with great THC. Hope all is well and hope all is going well with your grows. Happy Growing!
Harvest was real easy - a lot of leaves but was super excited to see how crystalized she turned out. She dried pretty quickly but it looks like it did ok. Excited to smoke her when she is truly ready.
