About 30 days old today. Like the other reservoirs, some PH drops. Hopefully I fixed that with the new mix. PH target 5.8-6.1 EC 1.25-1.35 (PPM 630-680) I have my ideas of what plants are male or female. Removed the males and 1 female, so I had a 3 female/2 male ratio. The front plant is fighting my LST. She is a thick strong plant with huge fan leaves. She was growing so thick I thought it was a male for a while, but she showed sex the earliest in the tent. Defoliation and res change yesterday. I removed a couple large fan leaves, but my main goal was to clear the middle and remove a dozen or so growth tips, so she doesn't become unmanageable in a week or two. The plant in the back is smaller, thinner leaves, but still has quite a few tops. PH target 5.8-6.1 -Had some drops still. I added Epsom Salts and that seemed to stabilize the res. On the res change I removed the Silica and added a little more cal-mag and the res was stable today. So it was either too much PH down because of the silica or she wanted more cal/mag in her feed. Looking good in the tent! Ziggy's are a little dark.. maybe too much N. I added a little bloom booster earlier in the week to give a little extra P, plus hydroplex has some B vitamins and sulfur which are all good for the plants metabolism. I stopped adding liquid karma during my weekly top ups and now the PH is stable. IDK if it was from the liquid karma or something else, but I finally got Ziggy's PH up to 5.9-6.1 for a couple days without having to add PH up. The PH was dropping to 5.6-5.7 almost every day. The front plant has some huge fan leaves. I might have to remove a few for better airflow. EC 1.3 - The PPMs stayed about 620-650. I am increasing the PPMs to 670-700 this week, so I will find out if that is too much feed soon. PH 5.8-6.1. EC 1.4 - Fairly stable. Rises slowly over a couple days 👊 PH 5.8-6.1 is the target. PH dropped for the 1st 4-5 days after the res change. Adding less cal-mag and more base nutrients during top offs seems to help. No PH up for the last 2-3 days 🎉 The plant in the back is already starting to frost up. These will be done a couple weeks earlier than the TKNL5 hazes next to them. I am guessing a target harvest of 77-84. Journals not updating on this site properly again. Beautiful plants. Lots of bud sites. EC 1.4 - removing P/K booster from top offs and will increase base feed + epsom salts for more mag and sulfur. PH 5.8 is target. Some drops, sometimes stable, but they look good so I am not changing anything drastic. Front plant stinks like skunk cabbage. Not sure how regional to the North east US it is or if it goes by another name, but it is a plant that when you step on stinks like a skunk. Funky for sure. Loving these plants so far. Back plant is starting to smell fruity. Front has a more funky smell. I did a decent sized defoliation to clean up the middle and remove some smaller branches. EC 1.4 - Slowly rise to 1.5 over a couple days. PH 5.7-6.0 - Stable over the last few days. F55 since flip to 12/12 Back plant is getting there, probably 2-3 weeks left. Front plant is probably closer to 3-4 weeks. I don't think the roots are tangled, so I should be ok with harvesting them staggered. The front TKNL5 hazes on the other hand, that will be interesting. EC 1.4 - Started to bring it down to 1.3 as they are eating much less this week. Will go down to EC 1.2 this week. Back plant is smaller and has some crazy fruity terps. Smells a little like the golden goat. I've read that the 80's skunk was a little fruity. The front plant with the large colas is more pine and funky. The sugar leaves look extra sugary on this 1. I will probably use them for hash rather than edibles. 2 weeks or so on back plant, front 3 maybe. About 2 weeks left on the front plant, back plant is closer, but still not much amber all around EC 1.2 - No res change in 2.5-3 weeks, but the EC seems ok and the PH is stable. Brought the EC down to 1.1 today and will continue to bring it down through the week PH - 5.7-6.1 - 5.9-6.1 most of the week I will try to get some better bud shots when I have some more time. I harvested both plants at the end of week 12. They were hang dried for a little over a week. As I mentioned above, I had 2 phenos, 1 is more lemon lime/spice and the other is sweeter and has a lemon pledge and very pine smell. The lemon lime plant was smaller and didn't grow as vigorous. I bet I could have pulled her at about 72-75 days and she would have been done. The taller/bigger plant could have gone longer without any problems. She was extremely vigorous, outgrowing all the other plants in veg. She showed her sex first, even before some of the males, and put out super frosty buds. Overall, this was a great grow experience.
