Blue dream and Northern Lights

jonesy_grows I transferred both plants into their first dwc home, I have 1 pump with 2 air stones and it sprays enough water droplets to wet the hydroton (clay pebbles) so the roots get water even though theyre not into the water yet. Both plants have roots starting to come out of the peat pellet though, thats how I know theyre ready. Theyre under 18 hours of light under the maxsisun mf1000 set to 40% The northern lights is in the back, the blue dream is in the front. They wont be getting any nutes this week, but I will probably start next week.

jonesy_grows So Ive been testing a theory that I can use the kratky method to get all the way through veg without a water change, as the water goes down, the tds goes up, this has mostly held true, and I noticed the ppms raising slightly early on in veg, but now ive noticed them dipping slightly, and so Ive added some more Grow nutes. My 4x4 is about done being setup, I dont have the budget to make it rdwc proper, but I finished return plumbing on the 4 sites, so that once I get a pump system, it should be plug and play to go full rdwc, for this grow, it will have to be essentially a 4 site bubble bucket system Ive hung the air pump above the waterline to prevent flooding if it fails, and the plants in the veg tent will be going in the 2 front sites, the rear sites will remain vacant for now I took 2 clones from each plant, dipped in clonex rooting gel, then placed in root riot cubes, soaked in clonex solution at 5ml/L Theyll stay under 24h light until I see them develop roots, then Ill keep 1 of each of the best Sorry for the lack of weekly updates guys, ive been busy with life, but ill try to stay on the ball in flower, I know yall love to watch buds form.

jonesy_grows Just installed the scrog on 11/22, I want to veg 1 more week before flipping to flower, depending on what the 2 plants do this week. Edit: 11/28 veg looks about done, flipped to 12/12 light, will start counting weeks of flower at first sign of pistils

jonesy_grows Flipped to 12/12 about a week ago, the stretch has started but im scrogging more aggressively this time. The system has had a few slow leaks that Ive repaired, now its no longer leaking. Water and roots look good, upped nutes a bit, eyeballing tbh.

jonesy_grows Well, both plants showed their sexes, the blue dream is a male, the northern lights is a girl! The blue dream was trimmed way back and transferred to quarantine in a 2x2 to minimize unintentional pollenization. I will be selectively pollinating a few spots on the northern lights to get some seeds for a phenohunt in the future. I sprouted some auto gushers x white truffle, 3 out of 3 sprouted, those will be in the 4x4 with the northern lights, and will have their own diary, so please check that out! 👍👍 Pistils are really starting to pop from the northern lights

jonesy_grows The Northern Lights is getting huge! She has about a 2.5 sqft footprint, and is still getting taller. The blue dream male is recovering from the major defoliation, and should have pollen to harvest in the next few weeks. My 3 seedlings from my other grow are all in the same tent as the northern lights

jonesy_grows Not too much going on this week, will probably have to defoliate one more time, its bushier than Id like, PM is an issue in ny area, so I want to protect against that The Blue Dream pollen sacs opened, I harvested that and brushed a few of the lower tops of the Northern Lights to cross them Im sprouting another CBDream seed to go in the 2x2 where the Blue Dream was. It was a similar pheno to my monster indoor from last grow, so looking forward to maximizing its height in the 4x4 for flower this spring! I added a red spectrum LED for some supplemental sidelighting

jonesy_grows Nothing much to report, some tight buds are starting to form Week 4 day 4, the buds are definitely starting to take shape, and the trichomes are forming on the sugar leaves, pistils are still mostly light colored. I cant wait to watch these buds chunk up over the next few weeks.

jonesy_grows In the home stretch now, noticed N tox from too much AN Grow, added water and started Overdrive The pollinated branch has seeds forming now, I checked some of the other colas and dont see seeds, so it looks like the spot pollination was successful! I cant wait to see these buds blow up over the last few weeks, I may do a staggered harvest, because Im seeing a lot of larf towards the bottom that could use more time to finish Thanks for checking out my update, and good luck with your grows!

jonesy_grows This is probably my last week before harvest, I chopped some of the branches that looked the most mature, Im starting to see nanners, so I dont have long before it starts to seed in spots I dont want. The buds are dense and tight, and a lot of the trim has good trichome coverage.

jonesy_grows Going full rdwc for my next grow, invested in pumps and fittings, finished return plumbing. Water changes are important, I neglected to do one due to how difficult it would be with the setup as it was, and the mf2000 left me lacking, ill be upgrading
