11-4-21 Plants are looking incredibly healthy. The plants have been topped twice. They just started LST today as I used the canna benders to bend the plants horizontal. I am doing this so as to expose light to the secondary branches so that I can train them up for my SCRoG. The Plants got transplanted today. I did 16 bags of Light Mix from Build a Soil in a 4x4ft bed. Seeded with a cover drop mix from build a soil, and covered in barley hay to retain moisture. This big space should give the plants a healthy root base to absorb nutrients to support the 4x4 screen of green that I am going to erect above the bed. I want to keep the plants as horizontal as possible during their veg growth so that they mesh easily with the screen and I can simply lower the screen down and tuck as it grows up through the screen. With 5 plants I hope to fully fill that screen with buds. I have topped each plant twice for 4 colas, with the secondary branches coming up that should be enough colas to fill the screen. I am very excited to see what this grow has in store. This is my first bed grow and my first time practicing LST and SCRoG. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.
11-6-21 Plants are responding to training well. Starting to boost growth on the lower branches and nodes as they get exposed to the light. I staked down the new growth at the top of the plant and bent the plants all the way over with the canna benders. Today I began the nutrient regiment for veg growth. For this I am using 1 tsp of Rootwise Mycrobe complete, 1/4 tsp of Aloe Vera, and 1 tsp of soybean. Measurements are per 1 gallon of water. Today the plants received a full load of 2 gallons of this mixture and 2 gallons of straight water in the morning. I am watering twice a day with 2 gallons to fully saturate the massive 4x4 bed. I will reduce the watering schedule once the bed is fully saturated and retains moisture on the top of the bed. I am not watering until run off seeing that I am using living soil. This would sap my soil of all of its nutes very quickly and the soil would not be very living at all. Rather my goal is to maintain a good moisture content in the soil by watering more often with less water. I want the nutrients to build up in the soil. I also don't want to wash away my mycorrhizae. Stay tuned I will continue training the plants now that they have been topped twice. I am going to continue to tie down the new growths exposing the nodes to the sunlight. this will result in the plant developing true branches even at its lowest nodes. I am hoping to super crop the plant in this fashion.

Plants are responding awesome to the LST. They are throwing up new branches every day. I went in today and watered 2 gallons of water into the 4x4 grow bed. No nutes today. They were fed last time they got watered. Plants are looking very green and healthy. They responded well to the bending and the tying down of the branches. So, today I continued LST by tying all of the new growths down and away. This will provide stress for the plant as it tries to get vertical against its restraints. The topping from the other day is starting to show its fruits. I have 2 new growths at each prune site. These 4 top nodes are being staked down to promote horizontal growth. I will continue stretching and growing the plant horizontally until I introduce the screen. At which point I will grow the plant up through the screen with tucking to provide support to the plant as the plant becomes laden with buds. My spacing is good right now I should be able to fill the entire screen with growth if the plants keep booming and growing at this rate. exciting things stay tuned for more action and the scrog to come!
Love seeing something new! The bed of living soil looks great! Ive seen people plant cover crops in there beds like clovers to help retain moisture. They are also great nitrogen fixers to the living soil! But I do love your garden gromie! π
