This year wanna make a micro diary of my guerrilla grow and my passion for hashish processing. The most of the pictures of cultivation are crappy for safety reasons, obtained with old camera phone without GPS.
Mustapha has sent to me 200 seeds directly from Issaguen, Rif Mountains, Morocc from 2020's crop.
Pure sativa landrace grown there since 3 generations.
Mid April soaked 100 seeds, obtaining 79 seedlings.
In late July plucked away 28 males.
At the end of September cropped 49 plants.
These plants were visited only 4 times, at sowing, 1 time to cut the males,1 control and for harvest.
they have never been watered or fertilized, abandoned to themselves.
49 plants and not a single spot of rot
The most of them have been the classical columnar phenotype and purple leaves on top.
We have done a wet coarse trimming, discarded the damaged parts and indoor drying for ten days.
The resin will be processed in 3/4 different ways.
Little by little I'll add videos and pics adding comments too. I will assembly some raw materials of alternating quality cause I've not planned to make a diary of this adventure and the most of the processes have been made far from home.
This is exactly the 🇲🇦 morroccan 🇲🇦 way of sifting resin from kief. Traditionally, apart the hand rubbing method, dry sifting through a mesh is the most used way to obtain resin, from 🇦🇫 Afghanistan 🇦🇫 or 🇳🇵Nepalese 🇳🇵 Mountains to 🇲🇦 Morocc 🇲🇦 Rif passing through Bekaa valley in 🇱🇧Lebanon 🇱🇧. The average size of meshes used vary from 90 to 180 microns and are mostly made by silk and for this reason uneven.
I think the most productive ways to sift are Dry Ice and rotating pollinator + CO2, I've tried a DIY pollinator built by a friend and it can reach up to 20/25% of resin extracted at 120 microns and 15% at 90 microns. But smell and taste don't reach that traditionally extracted but this is another story.
Morroccan way is good compromise between a stashbox or more evolute methods.
It requires less than 10 dollar of expenses.
You need:
a basin or pot without handles
a heavy-duty plastic bag that contains the basin
a pair of chopsticks
a good 120 microns net
an elastic band
tape
Kif or trim q.s.
Here is the link where I buy my meshes. Very high quality, customable size and material (steel or nylon) and length and very kind vendor on AliExpress

Drum for 3 minutes.
.....perhaps you will find that you have an innate talent as a drummer, throw the shit away and put your head right......
There are 2 reason to wait for curing resin before processing : 1 scientific and the other both scientific and historic. Is scientifically proven than at 12°C glands loses 15% of original size in 6 months. Traditionally kif is drummed in mid September than stored until January when in those mountains temperatures drop to 10/12°C. The cold restricts matter for another 15 %. So the goal is to process and press the resin when it loses about the 30% of size. Here the magic happens. Smaller (but not lighter) glands stick and melt together much better when pressed and because nothing is destroyed but is transformed, the magic of hashish perhaps it resides precisely in that volume that was lost with aging and that turns into something special.

AFGHANI
Typical Afghan hashish is processed using mechanical friction, water or tea and lot of heat but isn't pressed, the melted pasta drips into a mold (500 gr/1Kg), it is simply pached after cooling
LEBANESE
After been crushed kif is roughly hand sieved with tumbling sieves. Jute or cotton bags are filled usually with 200 gr of matured dusty resin and then, 10 or 20 a time, heavily pressed at 7/10 tons.
ONLY PRESSURE
MORROCCAN
Here the final product is processed and packed in two ways: the resin after seasoning is hand kneated often with tea or water, it is given a cylindrical shape, to which the film is wrapped and then softly hand pressed without using forms. This results into dark red/brown soft, sticky and gummy plates. The most common type is made by fulfilling pre-formated plastic bags that after sealing are pressed homogeneously into steel forms usually up to 3 tons. Commercial 100/200 slabs are pressed 5 together often adding some heat getting darker slabs. This results green/golden slabs, less or more hard.
HAND WORKED
PRESSURE
HEAT
Everyone of us is capable to do hand worked sticky hash but if U want to obtain a pollen like chunck that crumbles like flour and on the touch feels like velvet the secret is to press homogeneously by using a metal or wooden form, this us more important than the pressure used.
For physic laws without a form the pressure energy will be dispersed in the sides resulting uneven. Applying the same pressure into a form it will results homogeneous in each point. This let the trichomes melt together and decarb.
Hey Growmies, some of you had asked to me if I prepare concentrates.......Yes I do!
I don't like modern rosin extraction but instead very rarely I like to smoke some oil.
The following is the recipe of cannabis oil made by ancient Mustapha's process.
It needs:
pharmaceutical grade ethyl alcohol (96.5% by vol.) or 95% for liquors
Weed
A jar with rounded bottom
A lot of time
This oil is 5 months aged, from 20 grams of weed I've obtained 3.5 grams of product.
Trim previously dried weed (20 grams) and put into a 500 ml jar. Cover with 200 ml of alcohol and leave it partially covered with cap. Let alcohol to evaporate on itself and shake the mixture 2 times a day. The most of the solution will evaporate within 10-15 days. When the solution is evaporated by 2/3 it needs to be filtered between 90 and 120 microns. Now is the time to finish and decarboxylate the solution by heating the jar by bain-marie until the green cream sticks to glass. The jar needs to be refrigerated before you remove the cream with a spatula to transfer it into a smaller jar. Store it in a dark place and open twice in a week for few seconds.
You'll obtain a petroleum green/dark amber cream (the green tone will turn into dark brown by time). If the job is well done the surface will crystallize and will shine like a mirror.
This cream is insanely sticky.
Smoke one drop a time. The collapse is around the corner.
Tips:
Best results, in terms of flavour/aroma, with single strain
Let alcohol to evaporate very slowly, take away some macerated weed (after at least 48 hours infusion) and add new weed/hash pieces little by little. Act as if it were a piggy bank.
The final product is a very strong shit, really narcotic.
Right on, thanks. I will check out the videos once posted to see how you’re making it. Nice brick from last year. I assume you leave it exposed to air in a cool and dark place when in storage?
@Rap_a_cap, that would work. I’m limited to a 1 g size when packaging for retail and I’m not sure I can be efficient enough rolling 1 g marbles. Also such a small volume loses a bit of the purpose of a temple ball which is to preserve the core so it can age. We’re not allowed to advertise but if I sell it as a marble I can call it a temple ball which will help differentiate from the 1 cm2 slabs we get in the stores here. For personal stash I’ll let some of these 2 gram marbles age a bit.
@sativaman, of course. I'll add videos when resin will be properly seasoned. Btw I like a lot your tastes about strains......U are bookmarked stay tuned
Nice brother a want tae see the outcome of this a love hash green has took over but cany beat a bit a old school Rocky soft black gold seal red seal was pish soap bar extinct think 🤔 it was Scotland and Russia that smoked the shitty nine bars of hash lol big yeah yer shits kikin
Oooo my gooood, this is hash pornography. The way that bar bend, fatty and still flexible. And you taught me many things about hash I did not know, so thank you for that my friend!
Hi there. I just watched one of your videos for the first time. Very nice looking product.
I just finished processing my legal crop into pressed hash in 1 g marbles. Ended up with a bit over 900 g (2.05 pounds) of hash ready for sale. It can be very cold here in Jan-Feb but with some near zero weather and low humidity the conditions are basically perfect for making ice water hash. All government regulated so I don’t want to post too many pics, but I will post one or two to the Golosa diary where I already have some hash pics. I love making hash. And I find it amusing to openly tell my engineering colleagues I’m not working today because I’m at the farm making hash.
We can grow cannabis here, but absolutely not olives, and your orchard looks very beautiful. Cheers.
