Nickeluring The seeds were germinated in wet paper towels in ziploc bags inside my germinator at 26 degrees Celsius. After 48 hours all but one seed had tails, the last one got its tail after an additional 24 hours.

Nickeluring They all sprouted quickly, one of them a day after the other, but it was put to germination a day later, too. I have slowly moved them closer to the light over the week. I have watered each plant 70 ml every day. One of them needed some help standing straight up. It was leaning too much. Other than that they have been left to do their rooting. I accidentally set the timer to 16 hrs of light instead of the intended 18 hrs.

Nickeluring At day 22 all the plants got their second topping. The two plants on the right look like they grow bigger, so they might be boys. I'll now just let them grow until they are ready for their third and final topping.

Nickeluring I still have no idea which are females and which are males. I believe the 2 taller plants to the right are males, I think I might bin them and put some of the smaller ones to flower.

Nickeluring So, I've been trying to see signs of the plants' sex, but I believe my eyesight is too poor for that. The tent is too small for that many plants so 3 of the Bushamns had to go. Hopefully the two left are females. I guess I'll find out shortly... The remaining plants have now been up potted to 5 litre pots, and put on a 12/12 schedule.
The ugly plant in the middle of the group shots is the Red Mandarine.

Nickeluring So, I chose 2 ladies to keep. I'm very happy about that. Since the Red Mandarine didn't recover I will keep the 2 Bushmans instead. They are branching out beautifully and will soon have covered up the whole grow space.

Nickeluring The unhappy Red Mandarine has been thrown out of the tent so the 2 Bushmans have a little more space. They're stretching out nicely to fill the whole tent area with buds. Hopefully long colas. The right plant grows a bit shorter, but does instead stretches wider. They both grow well and strongly.

Nickeluring One of the plants is showing some unhappiness. Her leaves show some deficiencies. I have increased the calMag dosage a bit. There's a problem with the current light, but thanks to ViparSpectra it will be exchanged shortly. Otherwise they're filling out the tent nicely with buds. We're starting to see some trichomes.
At day 27 the light was exchanged for a quantum board light from ViparSpectra. I'm looking forward to see the results of that light in a few weeks time.

Nickeluring The girls are doing alright. They're not getting as thick as I was hoping for, I will use bigger pots next grow. Otherwise flowers are developing nicely. I've been told they smell very nice with a scent of sweet vanilla.

Nickeluring After 8 weeks of flowering the Bushmans are almost ready to harvest. I'll leave them a little bit longer to let them gain maximum weight before the chop. They have plenty of spider mites and I have added some meat eating mites to fight them. I don't want to spray too much this close to harvest.

Nickeluring 66 days after the switch to 12/12 the Bushmans plants went down. It took about 3 weeks longer than the 45-48 days suggested by the breeder. The plants look beautiful and I can't wait to try their Sativa buds. I can't smell anything myself, but I've been told they smell very nice with mild earthy tones. The two plants are of different phenotypes. One has turned purple in the end and has pointy buds, the other stayed green and has rounded bud heads.
Drying/curing starts with a slow dry for a few weeks while hanging upside down.
Excellent herb for daytime use. It makes your mind clear and racey...Perfect with the morning coffee to get the day started.
The buds are solid hard and sticky to touch. It has a nice fresh lemony smell.

Nickeluring These plants grew very well, especially for being in such small 5 litre containers. They were great to train, and grew nice solid colas. Feeding wise they enjoyed normal strength nutrient mix.
