Hi my darling partners in hyper monoculture farming, Most of you don't know that every once in a while I like to find obscure sites or 'back-alley sources' to try out new strains and maybe find: 'a diamond in the rough'. All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king. J.R.R. Tolkien With this literary side road, we enter our adventure into maybe a discovery of a lifetime. Where does this strain come from? What are its talents, if any, could this be the promised landrace to rule all others or just another dud. We will find out in the coming months as we follow these Xtrakush seedlings to adulthood. The seeds came in after ordering, which is always a big plus for me :P And the two seeds I planted did germinate within a day. Also a sign of a good product. But tell us why two Biobuds: Why two? After the disaster with the Expert Gorillas, I had a space free, but this strain is regular so males can be expected, that's why I planted two. The Strain XtraKush 50 to 55 days 100% pure Organic seeds Suitable for indoor and outdoor use In Dutch / European climate Suitable for hot summers like 2018 Hand-selected Regular seeds m & v Little experience needed High yield Outdoors between 450 and 650+ gram m², indoors the yield is between 350 and 600 gram m² depending on light, space, time and extra nutrition. THC 20-25% Medical CBD 3+ We know of positive experiences from people who use these Kush strains instead of drugs such as Ritalin and pain relief. We do not provide medical advice or tell you that these seeds may work for your situation. Always contact your doctor if you want to stop or change the use of medicines and discuss whether there could be any side effects for you. Outdoors, the plants that are at least 3 weeks old can be planted in pots from mid-March until the end of June, and after mid-July we recommend large 25 liter pots again, read below. Note: XtraKush plants can grow very large outdoors, specimens of 3 meters high and 2.5 meters in diameter are no exception. The harvest is outdoors from the end of September to the beginning of November, depending on how hot the summer is, the longer it stays dry the higher the THC content will be. It is possible to plant the seeds directly outside in the ground as soon as the temperature no longer drops too much during the night. Covering the soil around the roots helps protect the plants from cold nights. Everyone used to talk about not planting before May 15th. Nowadays it has been warmer for many years and in recent years we have hardly seen a winter. From 2019 to 2020, there were still vigorous AuxKush cannabis plants in the garden on January 1, which can't wait to start growing again. AuXKush's mother is this XtraKush and all Autoflowering strains are very resistant to cold. Our varieties, specially cultivated here in Northern Europe, can now be planted outside much earlier. However, with an auto-flowering strain that will yield less than in full spring and summer sun and these normal strains like this XtraKush will grow very far above your fence and therefore not only be seen sooner but also get looser buds than if you which will start later. So don't start too early, it is always a matter of feeling. If you keep the plants in pots and take them indoors in bad weather, it is best to take large pots of at least 25 liters containing good garden soil with vermiculite mixed in and only add a little bit of nutrition if necessary, until you see the plants dare to put it in the ground. Traditionally, it is After May 15 to mid-July, you can plant XtraKush immediately outside in the ground. After mid-July, you can still germinate a number of plants, but then put them in the large pots so that you can bring them in in time when the weather starts to play tricks, after all, the plants are then much less strong to withstand the weather themselves. to fight. WeedSeeds wishes you good luck with the cultivation of these cannabis seeds, we are convinced that this is a cannabis strain that will satisfy both a beginner and an experienced grower. You can also grow XtraKush indoors. If you want to grow indoors, you need a little experience with this 95 percent Indica Cannabis strain. This does not alter the fact that indoor cultivation always requires more care than outdoor cultivation. Outside or inside? Whether you have experience? Or looking for a beginner weed? If you stick to the above, you can't go wrong with this XtraKush weed. You see, they've said it: I can't go wrong! And with this guarantee as solid as a spit-palmed handshake, we are off to the races. They are only up against reputable breeders worth 4 times the purchase price of 1,29 a seed for 10. The Breeder Weedseeds.site Dutch company with only one outlet or so it appears. I've asked for some additional info on the strain but, no answer. I did get a complimentary seed, so thanks to the people at Weedseeds.site The Light It will be under the SP-3000, which is gifted to us by @MarsHydroLED, thank you to the people at Mars Hydro Global Store on Aliexpress. Give them a look-see, they have excellent service, high ratings, and absolute deals on tents and lights. Still very happy with how it's performing, its ease of use and how cool it stays. 300 watts of pure gold this is! The Soil See the shopping list in the images for full list if you want to create your own super soil in Europe. The Setup I have a custom tent, 140 x 70 x 200 cm (4,5 x 2.5 x 6 ft) with my own tower ventilation unit set up horizontally above the grow. I'm proud of this McGyver to find and love how it's working out for me. I use two small HEPA filters o the intakes to filter out dust, hairs, and bugs. I use three 56 ltr grow bags for the grow itself. So thank you for checking in on another one of my grows. I'll keep you posted and let's see if our fellowship of characters will lead us to victory or we will perish among the way. Big Hug Bud

They germinated like a charm, this seedling soil is very crap, however. Will choose a different one next time. Some leaf damage and just overall, not happy plants. I, therefore, decided to pot them over to their own space earlier to have them in my trusty super soil mix. Maybe a bit early, we shall see. For now I'm happy they are both alive and we might have a full tent after all. Let's see if we get two females so I can put them in flower just earlier. According to the sales pitch, these plants are supposed to get huge! We, again, shall see. All is going well, thank you for checking up on me! Your feedback and support is always appreciated! Happy growing!

Again the super soil seems to save them and provide for exponential growth. I could try to up my humidity, which is somewhat low. But the phenotypes are looking awesomely similar for a no-name brand. This could be a hidden little gem and can't wait to see how they mature. Meanwhile been fighting gnats, tried to get rid of them with a solution of citric acid and water. It seems to help as a contact poison on the soil, while only being a tiny film, so I just don't have to add any citric coming waterings. We like them organic solutions with stuff already lying around the house. Next week I'm going to FIM them and hope this works out better than with my Orange Hill Special grow. Well Im off for this week but not without thanking @MarsHydroLED again for an awesome light! SP -3000 is a monster light, check it out on Aliexpress Mars Hydro Global Store!

These XtraKush are also finally starting to grow. It took them a while but they doubled in a week. Still a little bit pale compared to the other two strains. With a new top layer of first worm castings and then neutral organic cocopeat to combat the gnat problem and we seem to have fixed most problems. Temps are going down at night, I'm trying to fix this by keeping it warmer in the attic where the grow is. In the coming week, I'm going to train/manifold them, they are getting a bit big. They are bulking up a bit more. Still nice and bushy both, still think both will be female. Finally, colours are getting greener and they are filling out nicely. Last couple of weeks before harvest, when my tent is filled to the edges on all sides and the plants can only go up is the moment I will hit the switch to 12/ 12. Thank you @MarsHydroLED, check out awesome deals on: www.mars-hydro.com I gave them a bigger feed today, up to now I have been stingy on the water, to prevent the gnats and let the root systems develop. Thank you for checking in on my grows and your comments and likes!

Yesterday I discovered that, in order to change my timer, I didn't put the clock back onto it. Now they had 3 hours more light on the third day of flowering. Exactly the kind of oopsies this grow really doesn't need. But it happened and all back on a normal schedule, but I hope the OHS en GG4 aren't affected by it too much... One accidental re-vegging is more than enough for a year. Also, these sensitive strains can hermie on me for lesser reasons so from now on I'll be checking for male signs daily. The XTraKush is performing as advertised, with enormous stretch, these plants can go 10 ft up according to the breeder. So I'm tying them down and managing this to fill out the space. With all the stuff going on, this 'underdog' strain might even prove most resilient, when all is said and done. They seem to respond really well to the SP-3000 light and If you are in the market for a new light, consider this option from Mars Hydro. Thank you @MarsHydroLED for letting me try it, it is a dream of a light. I compared it to my old light again and PAR values are not even in the same ballpark. Thank you for checking my diary and taking the time to read my adventures! Hug Bud

Well, what we feared, became a reality, one of the regular XTrakush plants is a male. This is why I planted two and I'm happy it seems to be only the one. But with the canopy going nice and full it hurt to get it out. Of course, I hoped to have two females but nature went its course. Considered leaving it in, to pollinate the others, or keeping it somewhere, but I do not have the space or light for it. Thus with pain in my gut, I went about getting her out. I notice a nice developed root system, very healthy, which was very hard to get loose. After shaking the soil off I have a rootball the same size as after my whole grow last time. I could lift the whole 57 ltr bag by lifting the plant. Sturdy stem, thick solid branches. This is what I was aiming for and it works. The soil again is proving itself to be a winner. The light this low gives some higher temps as expected, but manageable within ranges. The SP-3000 is performing really well and I cant wait to see the bud development coming weeks. I'm sure it will deliver a great amount of bigger buds looking at all the flower sites and the thick branches that support them. Remember to check in on www.mars-hydro.com, they have awesome deals now for Black Friday! I'm giving more water now, once in two days instead of three. They seem to need it with the higher temps. The plants seem to take the light well on only 45 cm. I've started adding the BAC Organic Bloom Nutrition. It is designed to work with the microorganisms I added with the micro life. With this I do a little bit of Calmag, but not so much, since I don't see any evidence of shortages, again proving my soil is dialed in for growing under LED perfectly. All in all, even with a minor setback, all is ready to pull in a mega harvest. Thanks for checking in again!! Hug Bud & Sunshine.

Well what did we say at the start? A diamond in the rough? All that is gold does not glitter? This Xtrakush try-out by weedseeds.site is turning out to be quite the surprise and joy, I might add. Consider this: - She had 2 weeks less of growing time - Had a potmate, removed last week cause it was male, see the hole in the grow. - This seed is 1,50 dollar, her roommates at 10 to 12 dollar a seed. - See the flower growth in one week. It is stunning. - She almost covered the hole of her roommate in a week. No defoliation, nothing. This soil and light combination rocks. I think Im proving at as we go here. Totally enjoying this grow and its ups and downs. Thanks again for reading up and all the likes guys!!

It has been a week of amazing growth for the Xtrakush too. What an amazing plant this is. Resilient, enormous growth, it was only last week that we took out her brother. It turned out to be male, which is why we planted two in one pot. Already she has taken up its space almost entirely. And the bud growth is also something I haven't seen before. This can really turn out to be enormous buds if the buds grow out like advertised. All in all a great week with lots of activity on my part to facilitate these results. We are three weeks into flowering, the deadline I set myself from where I'm allowed defoliating the underside. To prevent stress, but also to maximize growth I hadn't touched them all grow. Also, I made the flowering amendments, it didn't seem they needed anything so I waited a couple of weeks. I made a mix of 2 cups worm castings, 2 cups bonemeal, 1 cup of micro life (per plant) and mixed this. I dropped this on the soil around the stem. In just a day another amazing stretch happened. The combined defoliation and added nutes gave a boost they seemed to love. I watered with a heavy mix of BAC organic flowering, Topmax and Calmag, and a one in 6 mix of my trusty permaculture tea. This SP 3000 is performing so well. Thanks again @MarsHydroLED for letting us try it. We are believers! If you are in the market for a light, give this one a chance!! Thanks again for all the likes, comments and the people following! Only 6 more weeks to go!! Big hug!! Bud

This Xtrakush keeps surprising. What a vigorous plant it's a pleasure to grow. All week we've seen huge bud formation and shes filling out. Only the last day growth has stunted a little. I think it was heat and I was pushing the light to its max. She seems to recover and I might have lost a day or two of growth. Her roommate, the Orange Hill Special, outperformed her a little in bud development. It was my mistake and this sort is made to grow outdoors in N European conditions. When we push for the limit, it's logical we find or sometimes go over the edge. Thank you for checking in this week, Im getting more and more impatient to see these plants develop and the harvest. Hi Guys, Any suggestions? Situation: - Bud was close to light - Heat was higher - This is only place on plant - Was the highest bud at the time - Just had watered, maybe overwatered? - Just had put in wood-ash, maybe too alkaline? - Overall bud growth was stunted couple days

Rub your finger across it, if any comes off on your finger it would be some leaf fungus. If it doesn't rub off, could be a calcium issue. Try lowering your ph to 6.2 for better absorption

We had some problems this week, with temps, but also something going on with nute lock-out. I raised the light and went on a regime of just plain tapwater and balance seemed to come back. I suspected several things: soil too hit by amendments, overwatering/rootrot followed by underwatering... Once I start compensating, the swing can go out of hand. Just relied on the natural buffering abilities of this soil by just managing temps and plain water. It seems to have done the trick, although I lost the healthy look the plants had up to now. We are going into the final three or four weeks now. Really looking forward to harvest!! Thank you for following and liking Don't forget: www.mars-hydro.com keeps putting out Christmas deals!! Check em out and try this SP 3000! It earns a consideration! See you next week!

Wow, isn't this 1 dollar seed performing :P The force is strong in this one. If I had to complain, the buds have a lot of leaves, but hey, were not... What a joy to grow this strain, she is easy to grow and creates big buds, I hope she tastes like a Kush and we will be happy campers with this one. The lights were a bit too close to her, she really didn't enjoy that light and heat, so we raised them, and after that growth went exponential in the buds again. And this for two or three more weeks, depending on the trichomes which I like for a large part amber so add another week for this. I'm guessing 1st week of January that she can be harvested, we shall see! Don't forget to check out the Christmas deals at www.mars-hydro.com, if you are still in doubt, see in the lights page of the SP-3000, what the score is of this light and the results people have with it. The Extrakush, the odd one out. What started out as a save because my third-party Barneys Farm seeds didn't germinate, this diary was supposed to be about their Runtz, but when dealers sell old seeds and replace those old with some even older seeds Expert seeds, fool me thrice.... So this was a shot in the dark, these were the only seeds I had available at the time, bought as a try out for the garden. A species designed for NW European climate. And she had, due to germination disasters, two weeks less of growing and she had a brother in the same pot, only removed in flowering. Still she filled out the entire tent and some space of her failing neighbour: the Gorilla. What a gem this strain is, look at those buds, look at her outperforming expensive seeds at a dollar a seed. Yes we still have to see some trichomes, yes she is mostly still hairy and not filled out yet but she is racing there. Let's hope on some quality smoke from this lady, for now, consider weedseeds.site as a place for quality strains. Merry Christmas everyone from Sunshine and me, check the video for a more personal seasons greeting. Special thanks to Mars Hydro, without whom we couldn't have this grow! Thanks @MarsHydroLED

'Not all those who wander are lost' What started out as an experiment, turned out to be an adventure of epic proportions. What hangs here behind me smells like the weed I knew in the 80's, skunky and full. But look at those buds. DAAAAANG.... These are the biggest buds Ive ever grown, I didn't know what darkness precisely did before.... now I know... My god after a few days they oooze cristal liquid from all its holes. They are greasy and sticky, full of weight and I think well hit the 300 grams per plant with this one, taking our total to 600 grams what would be 2 grams per watt used. If that's so, Ill never use another light again! Thank you Mars Hydro for letting us try it. And by god so should anyone wanting to up their growing game. Well keep you posted with the dried results and smoke report! For now thanks for checking us out again and see you soon X Bud and Sunshine!
