11/24/21: Day 29. I had to rearrange the staples again, since yesterday. Everything is looking great so far, a little on the slower side in overall growth, but I'm told that can happen with indica dominant strains. That is alright with me, as I love a good kush. I'm not expecting the biggest yield from this plant, so anything over an ounce will be nice. It's small right now, so I only say one ounce, but that number is likely to change once it's been flowering for a while. If I can get around 3 ounces, then I will be even with my other photo grows. If the smoke turns out great, then I will not hesitate to grow this one again, sooner than later. I'm trying not to repeat any strains, unless I find one that is amazing, then I'll gladly grow that one out again, and again.
11/26/21: Day 31. Plant is looking fantastic, still has that deep dark green that I love. The lower growth is starting to bush out nicely. It will be one fine looking plant once it's finished. The trident looking top colas is going to very photogenic. I will have to get some more lights in there, so I can get good pictures. I think it could easily win me some competitions, as that's not at all a normal outcome from FIM'ing.
11/27/21: Day 32. ๐งGave the plant a heavy dose of water, it looked very thirsty. I will need to administer another round of LST, as well as remove some leaves. One more week before the flip to flower, so it's time to prepare. Growth is still looking excellent, so I have no worries about switching to flower. I don't expect to get much of a yield from this plant, as it's extremely slow to grow. It may just be the indica dominant genetics, but it's not something I'm a fan of. I'm used to fast growing plants, usually a good hybrid. This will give me an idea of what to expect with future grows.
11/28/21: Day 33. ๐๐After a heavy defoliation and some training, the plant looks very bare. I know it will bounce back, as it still has a several days to recover. Either tomorrow, or the day after that, is when I will allow the top cola to grow out on its own, with no further training.
11/30/21: Day 35. ๐๐งRemoved a few more leaves, again, only ones that were blocking other bud sites or new branches. While I never added any more new staples, I repositioned a few to keep the branch at the desired angle, and not curled to the side. The trident top looks amazing, it's going to look awesome. I had also given the plant a large dose of water, not that the pot was extremely dry, but it definitely could have used it. I soaked it very well, and made sure the pot was heavy before I stopped. Still no water coming out of the bottom, thankfully these nutrients require that. I'm going to go ahead and just switch to flower today, so tonight will be the first night of 12 hours of darkness. Since I start my new job on overnights tonight, I figure I should change the schedule so the lights turn on after I'd be getting home. That way I can take care of the plant before, or after work, without having to worry about messing up the schedule.
