This is going to be an exciting run for me. I ran this strain about 5 months ago and the buds were HUGE. My plan is to give them about a month in my little veg tent before moving them into my flower tent. If anything I'll wait for preflowers to pop up. I got 3x of these as a freebie when I ordered Banana Daddy. Apparently it's a strain yet to be released... So hopefully I can do this strain justice being the first person to try it on this site. Planning on running these girls with Blue Planet Nutrient's Liquid Seaweed and Roots Organics Terp Tea duo(bloom and grow). Cheers everyone, excited for this shit right here! Never had a bad Ethos plant :)

Glad to see these girls are well on their way! We'll consider this the first week of veg. Had to give these girls some support because they both toppled this morning. Hopefully a little turbulence and support will rectify this in the next week or two. Cheers 😁

No nutes quite yet, but I may hit them with some Recharge, and a top, just before the week begins. So far, they're looking stellar! Nice, fast growth and they've already begun developing their side-branches. Update Nov. 1: Decided I wanted to see how FiMing vs. LST goes with this strain! So I've LST'd the stronger one and FiM'd the other. I know it's ill-advised to top autos. But I believe I can get it to recover pretty quickly by introducing nutes and mykos by the end of the week. Doesn't hurt to do a little experiment every once in a while! Cheers to a good start #GrowDiaries :)

Alright! Looks like they both just chugged right through the training. These girls are extremely happy so far. Waiting for the second plant to wilt it's cotyledon, before beginning the feedings- but this will be the week I get them started on 1/4 strength nutes! LST plant got tied down just a little bit higher than in the pics, right after I posted this. It's been a great start to this cycle, hoping to get them both in the flower tent by next week. Cheers everyone 👍🏾 😀

Alright, huge update for this week- it's flowering time baby! Hit the girls with a tsp of Terp Tea Grow and 5ml of molasses. This combo should get the microbes excited 😊 Our left ChemP is absolutely killing it. So healthy that Roots have started appearing ABOVE the soil. Still giving them both the tying treatment. At this point in the grow its hard to say which plant is ahead of the other... left definitely has a thicker stem, but right has a much wider canopy with more tops. I'm going to try and do a bit more training for the next three weeks to hopefully get them both to have an equal canopy. Either way, they'll both love the increase in light from my TS1000. They've got plenty of space and light to burn through the rest of the grow with ease. Just need to make sure I stay on top of feedings now!

It's all going well so far! Just been tying them down, trying to keep their canopies even. Still super green and healthy. I really like the results so far of this nutrient combo. I'm going to try a full strength feeding this week to hopefully give them the rest of the nitrogen they'll need before I get them on the bloom nutes next week. Cheers fellow growers! Starting to feel much more confident in my grow process after making so many mistakes. Glad I stuck to it and never stopped trying to learn.

Things went pretty well during these past two weeks of transition. I've been worried about the Temps dropping below 16 degrees celc. So I ordered a mini heater for the tent. It should have been here today but got delayed til tomorrow. Either way they're both showing deficiency and temperature damage. You can see a slight wilt on both girls as a result of these crazy cold Temps. The leaves on both are also starting to turn purple at the veins. Their top growth looks nice and healthy, however. Need to get that heater ASAP. I'll update this journal once I've gotten it. Update: Got my heating solutions all up and running! Keeps the tent between 19-23 degrees. Celcius. Perfect! The girls are already looking like they're picking back up to speed. Got two gelatos I'm trying to vet in the tent along with them, but the ChemP's will be the ones getting the most light.

They're cruising along nicely. This next month is my favorite part of the grow, watching them get that last bit of vertical growth and then it's chunk time! I've also got a whole slew of other plants veg'd out from my veg tent, ready for flower whenever. But these girls will be ready in February, and they're rather compact so far. Fitting more into the tent won't be an issue at all, and the light I'm using will be supplemented by another LED light I have. I'll be weening them off the grow formula, next week they'll get 1 tsp of it and then it's 100% bloom from then on. Cheers everyone ;) smoking on some of my strawberry banana 🍓 🍌 from my last harvest - what's everybody smoking on this week? 😎

Great progress so far. Buds are building nicely. Only issue is that left appears to be suffering from Calmag def. again. So I'll be upping the amount of molasses during waterings. Make sure to get some in every watering.

They seem to have stopped stretching and are now focusing on the buds. Very odd coloration happening on the leaves of the left plant. I'm thinking it's either a calcium deficiency or a manganese deficiency. Either way the buds are developing nicely still. Right is looking great right now, save for a few spider mites I had to squish earlier last week. Nice and frosty at 5th week of flower. If all goes well with both of these girls, I'll be harvesting them at the end of January. I'll definitely give them a bud washing b/c I found mites. Update 1/2/22: okay I've got a few notes to make on the progress as a whole. So after topping right, it seems like she started producing flowering hormones right after. While left focused on stretching for like a week more. Right has fat, compact and frosty buds- shaped like golf balls. Left has spire-shaped buds, not AS dense(still dense though, mind you), and less frost. So I'm thinking left is staggered behind right by about a week. Since this is week 5, we'll be able to tell just how far ahead she is by week 8.

First thing to note, is that left is being plagued by a deficiency that I just can't seem to get the hang of. I'm hoping this new batch of compost tea, with extra molasses for the microbes to feed on, will do the trick. She's chunking on her buds just fine, it's just that she's not as productive in the frost department. And now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure my last ChemP run produced a female with really odd leaf coloration as well. But that one did fine come harvest time. So it may just be a genetic thing with this strain. Either way, left is still really stinky in a good way. Like a sweet, gassy smell. I've been squishing mites on her since 3 weeks ago, I find important to note. I cleaned my tent before starting this run. But I have a bad habit of peeking in my tent pretty often. So that likely caused some adventurous little shits to wander in.. As far as right goes, she's looking awesome! Going to cut them both off of nutrients since these will be the last 3-4 weeks of life for them. Hopefully that will encourage some fall coloration and further ripening.

By this point in time, having grown for 5 years now. I thought I was immune to making amateur mistakes... Arrogance! Didn't do proper research on the UV heat bulbs I bought, and found out I was using them improperly. I had one pointing on our left here, and I was wondering, "what the hell is going on, what kind of deficiency is this and why isn't it showing up on right?" The trich development also seemed to slow down. Well, it was because of that UV lamp. Had it pointed RIGHT at her! I faced it up towards the top of the tent, and all of a sudden the trichs started developing normally again. She's also started fattening up more. Long story short: If you decide to use a UV heat lamp during the winter, make sure you point it away from your plants. (Common sense to most, lmao) As far as right goes, she's looking like a prime example of what this strain is capable of. Chunky and dense golf ball buds all over, coated in a thick layer of sticky, stinky trichomes. Since I began the 3 week flush last week, she's also starting to exhibit the Autumn Color Effect a little. Here's a little synopsis as to why I'm flushing these organic plants. From what I've picked up (from other organic growers both here, and on Youtube), is that you want to mimic the natural cycle as close as possible. So my rationale is that as a plant reaches fall, the rain from the winter washes away alot of the dormant nitrates from the soil. This in turn works like a longterm flush, producing the autumn color effect, and depletes excess chlorophyll in the plant as a whole. I do this to maximize terpenoid content and THC production, which I think brings out the plants potential. Am I wrong in looking at it this way? I think I'm a bit weird doing this because I see a lot of other organic growers here feeding all the way up until harvest... Lmk your thoughts in the comments, it would be much appreciated

Both of the girls are really packing on the weight now. These are their last week or two. Haven't decided whether I'm going to harvest this week or next. But you'll see a harvest post soon, I'm sure :) It doesn't look like left is quite ready for harvest(white hairs popping up still), but I'm going to chop them both at the same time, regardless. I may do so a bit later on account of left being behind. If anything, I'll just harvest right, then do left a week or so later. Cheers everyone! Really like this strain, but it does have quite ugly leaves lmao. Update: The girls officially got the chop on the 20th. They've been drying ever since. Did a leaf strip and then hung em up. Stay tuned next week for a grow/smoke report :) Harvested at about 90% cloudy 10% amber trichs. The smell is incredible! I can smell it as soon as I open the door to the room they're drying in. This was a pretty fun grow, but I don't think I'll be running this strain again during the winter. Looking for more hardy strains to better handle our fluctuating climate.

I mean, overall this was an extremely painless grow. The test of whether we should or shouldn't top autos is still TBD imo. Our topped candidate produced denser, frostier buds, but weighed slightly less, at 14 grams of bud total. And our lst plant produced 18 grams of bud, not as frosty, and almost as dense as our topped girl. I'll be topping autoflowers from here on out only under the circumstance I have 4+ to grow at the same time. Seems like it could be used to speed up the autoflower grow cycle if done properly, like with right. Since I'm doing a perpetual cycle, it's still a viable option for me in the long run. A few tips I have for anyone growing this strain in organics: Start feeding bloom nutes a little bit prior to flower transition - this makes the transition more seemless. From weeks 1-3 flower, I slowly dropped the grow dosage until I cut off grow nutes week 3 flower. Starting the flush around week 6 flower seemed to really bring out this plant's potential. But I think you could get away with starting the flush around week 5. I hope this helps anyone trying this strain out. It's a good one, I hope to see more journals of it, eventually. Cheers everyone! Time for me to take a well-deserved puff. :) ☁️ 🌼
