Moved seedlings into solo cups with FFOF on October 8th and kept the rapid rooters moist. Transplanted from solo cups to 3 Gallon fabric pots on October 17th.
Girl on the left has been growing much faster then her sister on the right. I’m worried about the height of the plants in my short grow tent, and I’m experimenting as this is my first real grow. So, tall girl got topped on October 27th, seems to be handling it fine on the 28th when shorty started LST.
The girls are really taking off this week!
No nutes, just filtered water set in the sun for about a day, 8 oz each plant every other day. Big girl started some very light LST 11/4/21, 1 month exactly from when they germinated and got put in their rapid rooters! The jack herer seeds got put in lil cups and some FFOF today, one seedling looks strong 💪🏼, lil sister hasn’t popped her seed off yet.
There both growing quickly, watering 16 oz each every other day, I went 2 days not watering cause I thought I might be overwatering. No they like it every other day. Jack and Jill (the sprouts) got put in their forever pots on 11/7. I ran out of FFOF when assembling the pots, rolled the pot down and made a mound for them. Water around the mound, maybe 1 oz a day each. Started noticing pre flowers on the girls 11/9ish, shits getting real here! Moved the lil ones to the back of the tent, and bigger girls in front of the fan.
They started pre-flowering November 9-10ish. They got their first taste of nutrients 11-11-21, just maybe a tsp. Mixed in with their rainwater, which I’ve been harvesting when I can. Easier than messing with ph level’s. I turned the humidity up in the whole house, around 50%, we all like it better. It’s getting pretty exciting seeing this come together! The lil ones are doing good, upped their watering to 2oz every other day and added some more FFOF soil to the pot. I don’t pack it down much let them roots breath, the watering starts compacting the soil, so I just add more soil. I’m thinking 🤔 the fresh soil when watered brings down fresh nutrients to the roots? Idk first grow, learning as I grow!
Girls are doing good, I thought I had thrips Monday when I went in to water the babies I saw one flying. Sprayed that shit down with all per-plus and hit the tent with some DE. Haven’t seen anything since. I’ve upped the watering to 20 oz each lady every other day and FF big bloom 1.5 oz per 40 oz watering every other time. Topped little jack on 11/23 and Jill’s begun LST, she’s a lil deformed and slow compared to jack. But that’s why jill started LST, and jack got topped just like Jane. Getting ready to start my next 2 girls Saturday or Sunday for December 1st sprout date. We got 2 Dutch passion auto white widows, experimenting with my new air-pots! Damn this shit is fun!
We’re into flowering, but they look like they have some kind of micronutrient issue. I finally just bought a ph pen, dude from the grow shop said I can bring in a sample of run off water and they’ll check the ppm for me. The lil one I topped started having weird discoloration spots on the bottom 2 fan leafs. I inspected the shit out of her fearful of spider mites, but didn’t see anything. Soaked he with all per plus, next day even worse, so I pinched them off, and she’s looking good so far.
And for the first of the month planting’s, I said fuck it I’m starting 3 different strains, I just bought a new light and small tent to me, from me: Merry Christmas 🎄 self!
I got an auto Do-si-dos from Barney’s Farm®️, auto White Widow from Dutch Passon®️, and a photo Northern Light’s freebie from North Atlantic Seed Company®️ The autos are going in my new 2.2 gallon air pots, photo’s going into 3 or 5 gal fabric. Thinking about turning the photo into a mother and clip clones from her, as long as I’m going autos in the same tent she won’t flip to flower, right? Fun as hell just planning all this shit out!
Got the run off tested, girls were starving, my bad I thought FFOF was supposed to last longer. Put some down to earth scrapped into the first inch of soil and increased the ph of the water. Freed Jill from LST on 12/8 and started my mini scrog attempt with her and jack. I need to set up my other tent I’m running out of room! Cause I think these lime daiquiri’s are gonna take a few more weeks, but the buds are starting to really grow now and the smells getting stronger.
Flushed the big girls on 12/12, I’m guessing there at 2 weeks or less till harvest. Been watering Jack and Jill almost everyday, tucking leafs into or on top of the net, and clipping the small foliage and growth underneath. It makes watering with the scrog easier, and their getting a lollipop look underneath. Jack and Jill got a Realgrowers®️ recharge watering on 12/12. Their responding well, and are nearly as tall as their big sisters! Oh and I got a new Cobb Led light to hit the lower canopy buds, just installed today with a smart plug so I can turn it on/off schedule if I want.
I think I was wrong about 2 weeks or less. Looking more like 2 weeks from now from what I can tell from the trichomes. Jack and Jill still growing strong, skipped one day of watering, they looked about half dead. Big girls just getting ph’d water every other day, J&J getting watered everyday, with their first taste of nutes on 12/19. Still trimming underneath the canopy.
Well I had a fungus gnat issue that invaded the tent in the last week and I’m blaming my wife’s fucking poinsettias, that were crawling with them and I destroyed. I panicked and harvested after 3 days of no water. The gnats were all over my do si dos, and the jack herers were looking like the might be infected too. Stopped watering, put a layer of DE on top of the soil and sticky tape everywhere.
I was profoundly sad chopping
