12/11/2021 - held in a glass of filtered water for 24 hours and then used the paper towel method for 48 hours. Seeds planted today in 6 litre pots to germinate before being moved to 15 litre pots on week 3 of veg. high humidity this week - 70% - and 100ml of filtered water every other day.
16/11/21 - all 9 have broken the soil and are stretching slightly to the light
20/11/21 root juice
Some of my seedlings are stretching far out of the soil already is this normal for the Gorilla Glue strain? I am growing White widow x Big Bud under same conditions: Lights are at 40% and 22inches from the seedlings. Humidity is being kept to around 75% at all times.
22/11/2021 all plants are doing well with some clearly larger than others. they have taken well to the root juice and the bio heaven and will continue root juice in the first week. Light is at 50% brightness.
26/11/2021 - masses of leaves - plants have taken to the pots well - slight bending issue with one where it was stretching for the light but it is now propped with sticks so hopefully will straighten out. All plants look set to be nice and tall.
02/12/21 The plants are really coming along well - one plant may be a male (see photos for the tall and skinny one) need to consider removing this tomorrow it is affecting the lighting of the plants in its pod because it is so tall the light needs to be higher.
Lights at 80% and hung 20 inches away in general. 1ml Biogrow and 2ml Bio Heaven every other day.
10/12/21: lights are at 60% and around 18 inches from the plants. disposed of the freak plant from earlier weeks and now have only 8. installed a six inch extractor and carbon filter fan on top of the grow room. also added an inlet fan to add more oxygen into the tent. Air circulation is good with 2 large fans blowing the air around. the plants themselves are thriving - 300ml of filtered water every other day.
one plant is larger than the rest - affecting light spread somewhat but it looks too healthy to give up.
aiming for around 6/7 weeks in veg for this set up.
16/11/21: The plants are growing as they should have adjusted to light to 80% brightness and are at a height of 22 inches for next week. they were rolling at 18 inch height and 70& brightness for this week.
defoliated some of the more dead and smaller leaves at the base of the plants.
topped all of the plants which will affect height but will hopefully bring a greater yield.
plants are doing well - around 18 inch in height on avergage with the bottom far left coming in at 24 inches alone.
24/12/21 : removed one more plant due to over stretching and generally being far too large for the rest which affects the light spread. Some plants have minor nitrogen toxicity which will hopefully be amended from next week as will stop the veg nutes and use a small dose of blooming as next week the last stage of flower. over all the new stems from topping are growing well and should be developed enough by next week to flip into flower.
30/12/21: final week of veg - the plants have responded better to the increased intake fan speed lowering the temperature overall. no more yellowing leaves. been on a dose of 0.5 bio bloom to prepare for flower. I have switched the lighting schedule today as they enter flower. the plants are responding well to the nutrients and the light - with tall stems and the topped kolas have sprouted well. I have added a carbon dioxide bag to increase CO2 intake.
07/01/22: Pre Flower week - lights have been switched to 12/12 and are at 80% still. The plants are really showing their sativa genes with huge growth. plants are average 70cm although two are 90cm. bud sites have finally started to show growth and lightening of the green toward the end of the the week. humidity is low - the carbon bag seems to have done a good job also.
15/01/22: Everything is looking good and as it should - the plants are really showing their sativa genes super tall for the 10liter pots. the largest is 43 inches high with the rest of them an average of 36 inches high. Defoliated a few days ago with the lower fan leaves to promote concentration on the buds. the sites are very bright green and showing good signs of pistils developing.
23/01/22: Plants are really tall and flowering well with lots of bud sites - pistils are long and prominent - the beginnings of the trichomes are starting to spread onto the leaves to make them sugar leaves. all looknig very healthy - the ventilation system in this tent is great with an intake fan and two circulation fans. ideal temperatures - looking very well.
average around 36 inches in height the largest one is around 47 inches.
04/02/22: Had some mishaps - I visited the grow room and various branches had fallen over due to the weight of the buds - big problem with large sativa breeds. I managed to use large garden sticks, cable ties and plastic clamps to secure them. Other than this plants all looking fine fine fine - large colas throughout - some are even starting to show brown pistils. smell is strong.
12/02/22: The colas are heaving with heavy buds and more orange sites are springing up. On the full dose of nutrients now for the last few weeks. I had to use more cable ties today to keep the colas from falling over like in previous weeks. good strong smell. great environment for flower. defoliated again mostly near the bases.
14/02/22: the plants have had their final defolitation so they can really concentrate on building bigger buds in the final weeks before harvest. Some colas look ready and others not... have had to add my garden sticks to support the plants.
18/02: The plants sugar leaves are starting to turn yellow being a good sign they are nearly done. Added more cable ties as again the colas are getting too heavy for the actual stalks. Should be a good harvest. Few more days on the nutes then to flush.
these gorillas are on week 14. was planning on flushing this week and cutting at the end of the week - heavy heavy colas are making the stems bend in some places right over. are they ready for a flush?
Them buds have still some growing to do. See the way they are even still kinda growing down the node they haven't even fattened up proper yet, your gonna have a monster on your hands. If have trouble with bending I don't know if it's to late for HST and hold them up with a cross, if you stems are having trouble holding themselves up then even if you don't apply HST I'd still get some supports on them, cause they gonna get at least 30% bigger. 2 weeks more nutes I'd say then go in for 1-2 wks flush. 24/02: Colas again have become real heavy in places and have had to strap them together to prevent the stalks from falling and snapping. Over all blooming well have been on maximum dose of nutrients now for a few weeks. lots of orange hairs. water now for a week and then to harvest. the topping in this grow really paid off.
the plants have been cut and will hang and dry for 10 days looking forward to seeing the end results and harvest as the topping worked wonders producing many thick colas.
