They are both doing pretty good, BA 2 is a little small. I should get some explosive growth in the next week.
I went ahead and sprouted the 3rd Blue Amnesia XXL now that I have the room. It just poped out of seed yesterday.
BA#1 Stretched quite a bit this week. Looking real healthy. I can see the roots trying to grow out of the fabric pot.
BA#2 Not much stretch for this girl, tho she is healthy and I can also see roots just like her sister.
BA#3 Still pretty small.
I haven't mentioned this before but this grow is kind of a grow medium experiment. The bottom half of BA#1 and BA#2s pots are 80% coco coir and 20% perlite. The top half of the pots are 70% Happy Frog 30% perlite with 2 medium sized cups of compost added to the HF soil per pot. I flushed the pots pretty good before I put a seed into it. I use fabric pots so I can feel the coco in the bottom to see how damp/wet it is. I am feeding every time the coco gets just slightly damp. Right before you would consider it almost dry. This makes knowing when to feed/water EZ and every other feedings I go to run off just to make sure the coco gets fully saturated. Hopefully I will get a soil type grow with coco like big buds and yield. At this point the roots are trying to burst out of the bottom and sides where the coco is. They are loving it. BA#3 has all of its ingredients mixed together. I will see how it goes with her after she gets a little older.
BA#1 Wow did she stretch this week. I have never grown a plant like this. She tripled her height in a week! that is crazy. Its getting kind of hard to manage her, I have debated on bending her main branch over but I think she is awesome just the way she is. Shes showing some little buds already I'm looking forward to seeing them develop.
BA#2 Had some crazy growth also. I really like this plant. perfect node spacing so no need to defoliate and her compact size is respectable. Her tiny buds are developing .
BA#3 I have been spot watering her about every day or 2 I will go to run off when she gets older.
.
Finally got a dehumidifier but It raises my grow room temps a little but its only a few degrees.
I have been paying close attention to my PH and the girls are happy.
I ordered some new grow lights that will be here in the next week. I'm sure they will be happy with some more light.
Made some custom bottles so no more spills. They are awesome, Its so easy and fast to mix my nutrients now.
BA#1 Is finally done stretching. She is 50 inches tall which is about my vertical limit, any taller and I would have had to HTS her down. She is drinking a gallon every 18 hours. Still very healthy and I expect her buds to fatten up in the weeks to come.
BA#2 is also done stretching. She is a reasonable 30 inches. She drinking the same amount as her sister.
BA#3 I went ahead and topped her 3 days ago just too see what would happen. She recovered pretty fast.
They are looking and smelling great. I love these plants so far.
Earlier this week I flushed both 1 and 2 with light amount of nutrients and recharge. They drank it up pretty fast, then yesterday I noticed some tip burn on #1 and tip burn and nitrogen toxicity on plant 2. I'm not sure why? I don't think I been feeding them too much. Ether way I am going to lower my base nutrients in half. I think I am just feeding to often. BA #3 is looking nice and healthy. I expect some stretching in the next week.
On Amazon right now you can get 2 Lightimetunnel 300W led grow lights, 280 real watts for $49.00 shipped. So I ordered 10. You cant beat that deal.
I have already started replacing some of my lights. If you need and led lights check them out they are amazing quality for the price.
The buds are swelling very nicely sense I got the new grow lights installed. The light penetration is awesome. Temps have been very high lately hitting mid to upper 90s F right before the lights go out every day. They don't seem to mind much.
I am only giving them nutrients every other watering because they are drinking a lot of water.
Branch's on #1 are starting to fall over so I am going too tie them up to the main stem. I might not be able too pull her out for pictures anymore.
#3 is doing great and has bud sites now. She would have been much bigger I I hadn't topped her.
They smell really good right now. I cant wait for harvest.
They have swelled up pretty good this week. Its nearly impossible to capture there beauty in pictures but I tried. I'm already seeing some blue and purple hues.
Both BA#1 and BA#2 got a 3 gallon flush on day 55 then I switched from Big Bud Coco too Overdrive and also gave them some Trinity Catalyst by Roots Organics. Its supposed to increase flavor and potency if used in flower and I think its working. They smell blissful. I may have a new favorite auto. 😍
Even more bud swell this week. Man that overdrive really does the trick.
I switched BA#1 and #2 to only Ph 6.3 water on day 63. Im giving them 1 gallon every day. Im getting about 5-10% run off every water.
There fall colors are starting too show. I plan on harvesting BA#1 on day 70-75 and BA#2 shortly after.
I gave BA #3 only water one day and she got a N deficiency. I quickly fixed it. I wont make that mistake again. Her buds are developing very fast.
I went ahead and harvested #1 on day 70. She could have gone a little longer but I am a out of smoke. I speed dried a few grams on top of my wifi router and just smoked some. Its some pretty yummy and powerful stuff. It will be much better once it drys and cures like it should.
I'm letting #2 go another week or so.
The buds on #3 it starting too put on some size.
BA #1 Curing
BA #2 Cut down on day 77, Shes hanging up now.
BA #3 Day 61. Switched from Big Bud Coco too Overdrive on day 59. Branches are already starting to fall over. Had to tie them up.
Dry Weight
BA# 1= 127g
BA# 2= 141g
BA# 3= 105g
These girls were awesome too grow. They seemed too love my grow environment.
They seemed to love the coco I put in there soil.
This is true XXL Genetics here. Amazing quality, all my friends love this strain now.
I already have 10 more of these fine BA XXL seeds too grow. I want too see if I can grow them even better then this.
