Alien Rift

I finally moved them to a reservoir with feed and water at about day 10. Before that I was using a spray bottle with a couple drops of grow and hydroguard to keep the roots wet. In a few days I will add Great White and some liquid karma to get my root zone going. Lemon Jeffery's are in front and feminized. The Alien Rift's are regular. I have 2 sex test kits left, so I might sex 2 of the best looking Rifts at the end of the week. EC .8 PH 5.7-6.0 - PH has been more stable this run. Moving along very well. The Aliens leaves are curling, but I am not worried as that is a genetic trait. The smaller Alien on the left looks like it's roots are stuck at the bottom of the net cup. I'm going to cut the bottom of the net cup and see if I can get the roots down to the water. Treated with Trifecta crop control today. Topped Added another light and I think that's what contributed to the calcium or mag(?) deficiency on the Lemon Jeffery. I turned the light down and increased the cal-mag and they look better. I've been trying to use the minimum amount of cal-mag, but looks like I have to go at least 3ml/gal. EC 1.0 - They slowed down eating after the top, but the LJ is eating a lot now. The Aliens are happy at 500-520 PPM. PH 5.6-5.9 1 of the Aliens is growing very funky with wrinkly ass leaves A sneak peak at my Jilly Bean Black Cherry replacements. Looking pretty good. I haven't done a reservoir change yet, they probably should get 1 before I flip them to flower in a few days. EC - 1.0-1.1 PH 5.6-5.9 - 1 drop to 5.4, but mainly they hang around PH 5.6-5.8. LJ - Probably flowering both plants as they look happy. I will have to keep 1 smaller (4-6 tops). AR - Not sure male/female. There are 1 or 2 that look better than the others, but they all look like they will produce well in flower. I had 2 Alien Rift males, so a 2:2 female/male ratio. The Jilly Bean Black Cherry's are moving along. No sign of sex yet, but hopefully in the next few days. I may need to raise them so they aren't getting shadowed by the Lemon Jeffery. I did a pretty large defoliation 2 days ago, although it doesn't look like it. I am trying to keep the Lemon Jeffery's manageable. EC 1.2 - LJ is a little hungrier than the Alien Rifts, so the LJ's will be pushed to 1.3 over the next couple days PH 5.8-6.1 - PH has been stable, a little PH up here and there, but not many PH buffers needed overall. The Lemon Jeffreys and Alien Rifts are doing well. The 1 LJ had a flat cola/stem growing (fasciation!), so I removed it. I've had this happen a couple times before and the bud that comes off of these stems is normally not as good and much more prone to mold. EC 1.25 - Finally did a res change (just over 3 weeks). LJ looks a little overfed, so I am going to hold both reservoirs at 620-640 PPM until they tell me they want more. PH 5.6-6.1 - PH was in the 6's earlier in the week, now around 5.7-5.9 since the reservoir change More bad luck with the Jilly Bean Black Cherry's, 2 more males. Starting to get some nice smells. 1 Lemon Jeffery has sweet lemon smells while the other has that juicy fruit gum smell like the golden goats. Aliens are already starting to get gassy and spicy. EC 1.3-1.4 - Kept the PPMs around 650-700 PH 5.6-6.0 - Lemon Jeffery reservoir was hanging around 5.5-5.8 for the beginning of the week and now it closer to 5.8-5.9. The Alien Rift has been pretty stable at 5.9, so I haven't changed that reservoir in 2.5 weeks. The Aliens will get a change this week The next few weeks should be interesting. Res change on both plants this week. Alien was at about 20 days, LJ 10 days. The LJ has been drinking a lot with 2 plants in 1 smaller reservoir, so I wanted to change it a little earlier to help clear out some of the salts. EC - 1.3-1.4 - Both reservoirs were running a little hot, so I am going to try and keep them at 1.25-1.3. Going to slowly reduce the P/K booster and cal-mag from here on out. PH - 5.5-5.9 - After the res changes botanicare likes to stay low PH, so it takes about 5 days before the PH stays 5.8-6. I love running the Alien Rifts. Easy to grow, always frosty, always stinky, and very consistent. The Lemon J's are plumping up and starting to throw some frost out too. That lemon candy smell 😍. EC - 1.3-1.4 - All the plants are starting to eat less, so I have been topping off the reservoirs with very little feed to keep the EC around 1.3. 2 weeks left. The LJ will be a little early, but I don't want many amber trichomes. I need some daytime bud! The Alien Rifts will surely be done. I normally pull them 63-67, but a couple extra days won't hurt, maybe even make it better. EC 1.2-1.25 - PPMs still spiking especially on the LJ, so I've been topping off the reservoirs with bloom, very little cal-mag and karma. F63 today. Getting close. Not sure if I will have another update before harvest. I will probably pull them F70. The front Lemon Jeffery has some huge colas that are still plumping up. It looks like it can go another 2 weeks+ . The rest of the plants in the garden look like they will be done and I need the space to dry, so not sure what I am going to do. Probably harvest and lose some weight on the front LJ. Without any amber it should be a good daytime smoke. EC .8 - Res change a few days ago. Removed liquid karma and reduced the cal-mag low (About 70 PPM total with my water included), so not a lot of micros and I am topping the reservoirs off with only water + a little bloom to keep the PPMS around 350-400, lowering to 250-300 a few days before harvest. They haven't been eating a lot lately, especially the Alien Rifts. PH 5.8-6.2 - Not a lot of nutes in the water, so it stays a touch more alkaline. Spent more time closer to 6.2 than 5.8.
