Had to start with another germination. I had a power/weather event here that took out my last 2 germinating seeds. This time I germinated in peat pods in a to-go container with a heating mat. This worked very well. have many leftover White Widow seeds and a single Sour Stomper I hope to get to harvest. These both broke the surface in the last day and the peat pellets were placed in soil with Mykos sprinkled in around them. I'm cautiously optimistic after my debacle with the last germination. I have a small tent but this setup produced very well for my first grow. It's a simple setup with a couple of oscillating fans, an exhaust fan, adequate lighting, and 3 gallon bags with Fox Farms Ocean Forest to get me through the first couple of weeks. Some say this medium is too hot, but I had no issue with it on my last grow. I have automation on a humidifier in the tent and I'm currently planning on keeping the temp around 68 and the lighting only at 25% for the first week.

Day 1 Well I started a new journal with new seeds because I killed the first 2 seedlings by overwatering them. It was unfortunate but I was trying to start them in a cup. No more. With these, I started in peat pods on a seedling heat mat with a to-go container. This worked out really well. The lights are set to 25% using an 18 on/6 off scheme. Lights - 25% 18/6 on/off Soil - 75% FFOF, 25% Perlite Nutrient - Mykos sprinkled throughout Day 2 Just a spray bottle and some water away from the plants. Day 3 Another day, automation is working really well. I brought the lights up from 25 to 50 percent today. I don’t want the plants to get too “weedy”. Day 4, 5, & 6 Not much change but I did change the light output to 75% on Day 6. This in turn has raised the temperature by a few degrees in the tent. Day 7 I’m seeing the second set of true leaves today.

Day 8 Today I noticed good growth in leaf size. Main stem seems a little thin which is to be expected. To firm it up, I placed a fan lightly blowing on the plants. All seems to be going well. With it being week 2, I bumped the humidity down just a bit. Day 10 Turkey Day!!! Everything seems to be going well. I have some light burn or nute burn, I’m not sure which at this point but I’m keeping an eye on it. The plants are still growing quickly so it may just take care of itself. I’ve raised the lights slightly. Edit: Turns out this yellowing on the tips was caused by going from peat pods to hot soil. No issue. Day 14 Two weeks old today! I’ve still got some nute or light burn but we keep growing like crazy. Turns out it’s nute burn due to the FFOF and difference between that and the peat pods they were germinated in. I’ll continue to keep my eye on it but it doesn't seem like a big deal.

Day 15 Well my IFTTT automation wasn’t working this morning and my humidity low and temp high. It wasn’t out of control but I switched the humidity over to the Home Assistant and left the heater on IFTTT. I’ll have to keep my eye on it today. Day 16 Still battling some automation issues today. I rebooted Starlink and rebuilt my heating automations on IFTTT. We’ll see what happens today. Day 17 Watered the plants today and started a little low stress training on them. This will show in tomorrow’s pictures. Day 19 Automation was swapped from IFTTT to Home Assistant a couple days earlier. This seems to be working very well at this point, fingers crossed. Day 20 Today I watered and started some LST and started leaning the plant over on its side to expose the lower section and have it spread out. Day 21 Well we’re at 3 weeks old now. The Sour Stomper should be around 1/3 of the way to harvest. I’m excited about this one and the White Widow is just a great strain.

Day 22 Temp and humidity were lowered a bit yesterday. I am working on some LST currently, just starting out. Day 23 LST is starting to take hold on the Sour Stomper. I’ll work a bit more on the White Widow today. Plants were watered today. I may give them some nutes with the next feeding but they are looking very, very healthy. Day 25 Well we’re still pretty squat. I watered today and added a very light feeding (1 tbs. Grow Big). I also added a small amount of Mykos today. I will watch closely as these plants are very healthy. Day 26 Heat and humidity were a little high yesterday but not ridiculously so. We’ve had some warm weather here for December. The feeding looks to have done well and training is really starting to take hold. I’ve got multiple growth spots now. The fan leaves are really dark green with the exception of the first set of leaves. So far, so good. Day 27 This week has shown explosive growth. We’re in pre-flower right now and LST is definitely working. No water needed today, the soil is plenty moist still from the previous watering. Day 28 Well we’re 4 weeks old. We’re almost half-way with the Sour Stomper and the White Widow is also moving along nicely. Today I turned the lamps to 100% and watered again. Everything looks very, very healthy.

Day 29 Turning up the lights yesterday raised the temps a bit. I’ve got my exhaust fan set to turn on and keep it around 75 in the tent. The humidity is set around 50%. I also setup some more automations that will limit humidity to 65% max overnight. This was previously hitting 80% overnight. Home Assistant is running all of my automations with Wireless Sensor Tags and EtekCity outlets cycling power on the fans/lights/humidifier. This setup is working really well right now. Day 30 We’ve got some warmer days again (for December) and temp is up around 77. Nothing to worry about but it’s a thing. Plants are growing like crazy. I’ve removed a couple of fan leaves that are in the way of bud sites. Otherwise these plants look great and are healthy. Day 31 Fed and watered today with Fox Farms Grow Big. I also clipped a couple leaves that were blocking bud sites. Other than that, everything is normal and moving along as planned. Day 32 A little more thinning out today with the large fan leaves on the bottom. I understand why they’re there and that they are useful for outdoor plants. Day 33 Plants seem to be doing fine after light defoliation. We had a warm, rainy morning and cold dry night - automation is working well considering the crazy weather. Day 34 Watered today, everything seems to be going well. Looking great - definitely better at the same time than my last grow. That one turned out pretty well - this one is looking better so far. Day 35 Well we’re at 5 weeks and reportedly more than halfway done for Sour Stomper and at the halfway mark for White Widow. Light to plant distance is 18” and the SS is 9” tall and the WW is 7” tall.

Day 36 Both plants are in flower now and it looks like Sour Stomper is really about to stretch. Today I fed and watered with the full complement (Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom) according to the Fox Farm feeding directions. I only fed at 50% however. Day 37 Plants look good the next morning after their feeding. I’m going to keep an eye on them to ensure there are no nutrient issues. Day 39 Raised the lights back to 18” today. Watered as well as they were looking as if the Sour Stomper needed it this morning (see pic). Other than that, they look great. Day 40 Plants are still looking great today, we hit 70 outside on Christmas Day but everything is moving along fine. Day 41 Another good day, this grow is going better than my last - that means I learned something. I checked the plants today, they’re darker green than ever. The Sour Stomper buds are growing fast. Day 42 Six weeks old today. I’m feeding again today, with a full schedule of Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, and Grow Big. The plants seem to be loving it so far. It’s been crazy warm here for late December. We’re supposed to hit 70 again today so keeping temps down will be a little trickier today but we should manage fine.

Day 42 I’m feeding again today, with a full schedule of Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, and Grow Big. The plants seem to be loving it so far. It’s been crazy warm here for late December. We’re supposed to hit 70 today so keeping temps down will be a little trickier today but we should manage fine. Day 43 The plants are still looking great. I took some more fan leaves off this morning to expose some of the bud sites. The Sour Stomper is really stretching and the buds are building rapidly. The White Widow buds are just starting to build, this plant is on a different schedule than the Sour Stomper. Day 44 Had to raise the lights today, these plants are really stretching. I also watered the plants as well today. Warm days still persist here - I’m not complaining but it changes my temp 1-2 degrees. Day 45 Looking good as usual after yesterday’s watering. Day 46 New Year’s Eve today, not paying much attention to the plants. It’s 70 outside again though and temps are holding steady. Day 47 Temps were a little higher today outside - mid 70s, which meant slightly higher temps in the tent. There was nothing dramatic though. Good growth this week so far. Plants were watered today. Day 48 Temps dropped today and you can see it in the chart. I skipped the second feeding this week as the TDS and EC were a little high. We’ll pick them up again tomorrow.

Week 8 - I definitely saw growth this week - stretch growth again. Both plants stretched around 9" this week. The sour stomper buds still have not thickened much but there is a lot of bud growth itself this week. If I'm following along the same schedule as the other SS grows I see, I have 2-3 weeks left tops for her to fill out. It's going to be interesting to see what happens here. The WW is also behind where my last grow was. I'm curious of what the different is but that plant has some time left for sure to grow. Day 49 I had to remove the stand under the plants today as they’re getting too tall. This allowed me to drop the lights a little. I need to figure out something below the plants but they’re fine for now. I’m giving a full feeding with nutes and water today. Plants are really growing fast. Day 50 I’ve lowered the lights a bit today. I feel like I’m getting lots of bud sites but the growth is not dense. We’ll see how this works and I’ll look for light burn. Day 51 Watered again today. Watching the Sour Stomper - she has really stretched over the last week. The White Widow is starting the catch up height-wise but doesn’t have nearly as many bud sites. Day 52 Raised the temps a couple of degrees today. Everything moving along as normal. Day 53 Well my inexperience is showing a bit here. The plants look great but the structure of the sour stomper just seems so different than the others I’ve had. It also looks different than some of the other Sour Stomper I’ve seen on the diary pages. We’ll see how it continues to grow.

I'm not going to put in daily updates for this week. It was a slow week but I will highlight the following - Watered every other day - Fed twice this week according to Fox Farm feeding schedule - Checked trichomes on day 62 because Sour Stomper is usually a quick grow. Seems we're a ways off still. **** I also put up a video for day 60. You can see how crazy looking the Sour Stomper is. The entire top of the plant is bud with tiny leaves. It's turned into a mutant bush. The good news is that the buds are starting to thicken up on the bottom. ****

Checked trichomes this week. The sour stomper is further along than the white widow but they are both coming along. Towards the end of the week I noticed some yellowing of the leaves beginning on both plants. I'm calibrating my ph meter weekly and I'm sure ph isn't the issue. I fed cal-mag a couple times for general health and I'll keep an eye on things. I had to add a tomato stake in the sour stomper pot just to contain it as it was falling over a bit. I don't think that plant has much more growth left before harvest. We'll continue to monitor.

Okay, I'm a week behind on posting updates here. I'll try to get the other one up today or tomorrow as well. Day 71 Removed the garden tie that was containing the sour stomper this morning as I’m worried about potential mold issues without air being able to pass through. Day 72 Watered with food today and in doing so realized the plants are increasing their water intake. I’m going to move to watering each day to see if this helps. Day 73 Watered again this morning - they are drinking a lot now. Day 74 Watered with Cal-Mag Plus added this morning. It appears that the leaves are recovering their color. I needed to trim a little but overall we’re looking better today. I’ll continue to monitor. Day 76 Watered today - no food. Got some more trichome shots

Okay, 2 weeks' worth of updates in 1 day. I slacked and missed last week's update. There is really not much to report this week except we had an ice storm and still things keep moving along. I had to tie up the Sour Stomper again as it is starting to increase bud size in the lower part of the plant and was falling over. The White Widow is taking off now as far as bud growth goes, these should both be ready for harvest very soon.

Wow, this was the strangest plant I've seen. I read through 100+ diaries here and didn't find another like it. At the same time, this is the frostiest plant I've ever grown. It's going to take a LOT of work to trim even though there are few leaves on the plant. It has a lot of mass and looks like it will be great to smoke. I'll make sure to save all the trim.

Another grow with this strain. This is my 5th White Widow plant and definitely the best. I haven't weighed it but definitely think I'll have more bud than previous grows. While the buds didn't have the same diameter as previous grows, I had several 18" buds. I'll definitely continue growing this strain in the future as I also like the effects.

That SS is crazy, I just harvested a "Night Queen" from RQS that grew exactly like it. I was wondering for some time what the hell caused it. Thought about cutting it down awhile ago but went ahead and grew it out. It was frosty af, drying right now.

@AsNoriu,thank you for the comment. I raised daytime temps from 75 to 77 last week and will see if that helps. They are in a tent in a detached building that I keep around 66 degrees so that's the temp they fall to at night. They both look healthy and I'll see them through till the end. It's boom or bust with the SS and either way I learn something.

@sandspur, I think that's the sativa side of the strain showing itself, extra light will help but it wouldn't be able to stop it from stretching 😉 that's just how most sativa will stretch, but they can fill that empty space with bud making some long pretty buds

@Cyrusdavirus, a little too stretched out I think on the sour stomper. I've brought my lights in closer and will keep an eye on it.

@Red_Day, thanks for the comment. It definitely wasn't, but in truth most of this hits a grinder. It didn't have a lot of fan leaves and the bud structure didn't have a lot of embedded leaves. It's still the strangest thing I've seen. On the flip side, it's the best smoke I've grown.
