This week went well everything is progressing normally. I am noticing that the buds on WW#1 and #2 are not developing as fast or as dense as #3 & #4. I'm almost certain it has to do with the fox farm mix I have #3 & #4 in.
WW#1 won't stop stretching, I moved her away from the light, but now the main cola will suffer from lack of light the leaves are already beginning to twist sideways to reach the light.
I am going to attempt to LST it by slightly bending it over from the top cola using soft bendable green garden mesh wire see what happens.
The buds on WW#4 are developing very quickly it has 100% ff mix. WW#3 is right behind WW#4 as far as bud development and it has 60/40 ff/coco perlite mix. WW#1 is 100% coco coir/perlite and has the smallest buds at this stage. WW#2 is 60/40 coco perlite/ff mix and is slightly more developed than WW#1 but way behind #3 .
WW#1 and #2 still have the white blotches/spots all over the lower fan leaves. Not from a pest, thought it might be powdery mildew but unsure there are no spots on the buds or branches so IDK. I'm keeping an eye on it.
1 or 2 of WW#3 fan leaves are severely discolored and dying from the tips more than likely from wind burn. I got a new bad ass osellating tower fan that whips wind out forcefully even on low. I am keeping an I on that as well.
John Doe is officially in a jar curing, crazy thing is I harvested her on the 11th. I placed it in a jar today. I attribute the fast turnaround to my WeDryer drying rack. I have the XL and it is worth every penny! What took a week or more to dry now literally takes 3 to 4 days, but then again I only have one plant or 1 oz per drying level. I'm going to officially taste her tomorrow. She yielded 8.2 grams not bad considering it was dying and several growers suggesting even a lost cause.
Looking better this week! Keep up the good work, if you donโt have any photos in your tent (idk your set up) I would up the hours of light your girls are getting to 18-20 per day. You will see astronomical growth. If you want to check it out, @super.squintz on insta. Got 6 autos running currently, 1 of which is a white widow like you
So definitely sprinkle about 1/4inch of dirt over the lanky part while it is laying over. You have some pros and cons of doing this and some can be looked at either way. Cannabis is awesome at something called air layering. Meaning if itโs stem touches dirt for awhile, the stem throws off roots. Itโs how the plant survives in nature if it falls or gets knocked over. So if you lay it over, gently cover with dirt, and give it boatloads of love, you should be good. That being said, that plant will obviously be much more squat than the others. IMO it will be a better plant that is squat and strong as opposed to being tall, lanky, and giving you continuous problems with growth. Also, the more roots you have, the more nutes the plant can absorb from the grow media, and the better the overall smoke. I am by no means a master grower, but I am a professional medical cultivator for the state So if I can help I will definitely try
I think you should add more dirt man upto about 2-3cm below the first set of leaves the root system will go all the way up to that point, and stop it from toppling over โ๏ธ๐ฑ๐ฑ I learnt that as I failed to do this with my last one, hope this helps
