Barney's Farms Pineapple Express Auto

3/17 Been slacking on this grow, my bad bots. Growth has been slow to say the least this grow. 1 PE has developed slow ass growth and the other is cruising along as usual. Gonna roll with that dink regardless, she might make killer smoke. Had an issue after last full pot soak, gnats appeared next day. Spinosad aka deadbug did the trick. I also snagged some yellow sticky traps to add some insurance. 3/19 Growth has taken off with one plant and been stagnant till yesterday with other. Freaky looking leaves till new growth started. Glad she did something, I was contemplating ripping her out and reseeding pot. New growth looks like a real marijuana leaf and not some mutation. Reg pHd water with light honey used daily. Plan on heavy watering till runoff and soil drop tomorrow. I'll top off the pot with new soil to add nutes, root strength.

3/21 Heavy watering did the trick. Both plants responded very well. The goofy stunted one even took the fuck off and grow some leaves that resembled like a marijuana leaf. Soil did do some suck up on me and I will top off here in next couple days. No nutes have been given yet. I plan a light dose of n-primer at 1mg for 1week to see how they respond and if all goes well...till flower at that dose or maybe 2mg. I've learned that autos hate nutes, even when the issues/needs that you think are obvious.. don't overdose on nutes, especially late in veg. I hate to say it, but cal/mag is like a fucking aspirin for autos. Usually a little extra cal/mag handles most plant nutrient issues. 3/23 Both pineapples are growing well. The mutant is growing lower branches and has a topped like growing method to it's madness. The other standard marijuana looking plant is starting to take off and add a tad of height a day. Total soak every other day has definitely worked this grow. A few hrs of leaf droop and they start praying till the remaining water is rooted up or fan dryed out. I added a few handfuls of perlite in each pot to help drainage and root oxygenation. It's working from what I'm seeing and keeping the extra perlite in the bottom 2/3s of the pot kept the shit from building on surface. Mixing a 1/2ml of n-primer water light feed in between soak for max take up or at least in my mind it seems. I'm hoping the non mutant gets me 20" in height so I can get a decent yield. The mutant...it is what it is with this bidenized plant. Was looking forward to somewhere in the neighborhood of 120g+ between both plants and that was being conservative. The mutant messed that all up now. Time will tell if these seeds produce bud in 60ishish days. 3/25 Heavy watering today with no nutes. Everything going smoothly so far. No issues other than the mutant plant growing like it's been topped. Hopefully these plants or plant will stretch before flower and stretch in flower so I can get some kind of yield. 3/26 Both plants are doing well, so I decided to do some defoliation. Normal plant got snipped to open up those branches looking for light. While I was defoliating, I decided to top her too. The mutant go a few leaves to open up light to the lower branches being formed. 2 branches are goofy as fuck to match the nose growing now. The topped growth this plant has is straight up weird and tight at the same time. It's in the tent so it's going to flower regardless of it's mutated self. N-primer has been used at 1mg and mixed with appx 4oz of pHd water and feed day after soak day. Light watering is added before the 4oz of sauce is poured. Growth seems to be best when soil is constant wet to the point of too much from 2" down to pot bottom. But whatever they want they're getting. Flower girl tea was added tonight while I was ripping bowls to both plants. This tea batch is super light in strength. I used roughly 2tsp to a 1/2 gal jug to keep nute burn down. Last grow I had I was going to use organics for nutes exclusively to provide protection to nute burn. Yeah whatever, nute burn same as chem products. Actually I think it's worse, 2 flush days in a row. Compared to 1 and done with chem nutes my 2¢. 3/27 Both plants are doing well after defoliation and one plant being also topped. The topped plant is taking off big time with branch formation and growth. The mutant is growing branches at a slower rate but is growing some. That alone keeps her alive and in this tent. Looks like I have one week left before flower with the standard looking plant. I'm going to press the nitrogen with her to gain some height.

3/30 Defoliated the normal plant and cleaned up some leaves on the mutant. Fucking regret keeping the mutant going, eating up space for a productive plant. Man shit what can I say, I started it, keep hope alive. Heavy watering really took the norm plant to a new level. She opened and started new branch life everywhere. N-primer has been used a few times I'm days of non heavy watering. Mutant hasn't shown any vertical growth but has grown some retarded branches that seem to be just spiraling. Keep rolling with her and see what she produces. Figured I have till end of this week till preflower with the normal plant. Yellow sticky pad caught a few gnats, thanks fox farms. I'll respray plants and soak surface of pot with deadbug. 3/31 Normal plant is officially in preflower now and mutant has taken on some vert growth. Both plants showed calcium issues in fan leaves. Bumped up hand watering cal.mag in between soak to fix problem. Should be an non issue in a week. Other than that problem everything is rolling smoothly and both plants are branching out. I'm thinking the mutant is 2 weeks behind in flower date compared to other. That works for me, I'll just use the mutant for some terp flavor for my next bubble wash. Pineapple tasting terps fresh frozen mixed with all my aged up trim and I'm set for edibles and some tasty full melt. 4/2 Normal plant is putting on size daily and the mutant is starting to make it's move. Mutant has branched out everywhere and making some vertical growth also. Normal plant is vertical growing and adding width with branches daily. Bud formation is building and smell is becoming detectable as of today. Topped the soil of both pots with some flower girl to add some nutes for flowering roots. Flower tea will be used super light next week on normal plant. Pots are tightening up as roots bind up soil and soak up water with quickness. 4/5 Both plants have found a gear and started putting on some serious growth. The normal plant has really verted and sent out all kinds of branches. Mutant has surprised me with stupid branch growth, just they haven't busted out yet underneath fan leaves. Cleaned up some leaves today to open the canopy on the mutant. Looking forward to this weird bitch getting to flower. She showed some type of small hairs forming, so possibly preflower is starting. Switched tent's today to give my other grow the viparspectra for some bud fattening. Gave these girls the colofrog at 14"ish and should see some praying when I wake up.

4/6 Plants are over watered and have severe leaf curl going. I'll fix this by no watering till Thursday night. Mutant is looking good but still hasn't shown me for sure preflower shit. Tons of branches forming but haven't taken off. Normal plant has crazy growth going on and I had to get greedy and overwater her. 4/9 Plants have mostly gotten over overwatering. Mutant has taken off with leaf and branch growth. Sucks that she has stayed bushy and maintained low height. The normal plant has wicked bud growth going and I can't believe its been basically 5 weeks since seed drop. She going to be ready by day 60ish like Barney's says.

4/14 Both plants are looking badass and praying daily for hrs after light waterings. The mutant is going to a friend's house for his stash. I needed the room and it's 2-3wk behind shit wasn't cutting it regardless of branches on branches. Normal plant is healthy and I'm assuming recovering from potassium deficiency. Feed her banana tea to get her back in good health and noticed leaf color and spotting changes after few days. Looking good and tomorrow will get heavy watering with light kloombloom afterwards. 4/17 Plant is healthy and looking good. The potassium deficiency I had is receding and I've upped calmag to 8+ml per gal. She is getting feed 2ml kloombloom, 8+ml calmag, and pH is 6.0+/- . I did feed her banana skin tea to correct the potassium issue and hopefully now the kloombloom nutes will suffice her. I highly recommend the banana skin tea to correct potassium and other micronutrient issues. Just soak one in pHd water overnight and your gold. You can reuse banana skin quite a few times. I use a 32oz mason jar for soaking. The sugars attached to the skin feed the mycorrhizae and other whatevers in the soil to help root take-up nutes. 4/19 PE looking fucking badass and starting to throw some dankness smell finally. Overall this plant has done everything Barney's had said it would. Quick veg and flower fast...hard to imagine I'm starting my 6th week tomorrow with her.

4/20 Happy 420 growmez.. PE is looking great and taking nutes like it's nothing. Granted it's a reduced rate with them but I'll take it. Looking like that 60 day seed to finish claim by Barney's is true. Badass genetics right here, wish the other seed didn't go full retard on me or I would be looking at 2 nice ass plants. I still have 1 seed left for a future grow depending on how this bud smells and feels after cure. 4/24 Nothing new and nothing wrong with this girl. Steady bud growth with kloombloom and heavy calmag. This plant sucks up the calmag like no other. 8-10ml depending on her mood of the week. Watering plants today and I knudged her and the stink that came from her was like a tropical fruit now and later candy. Crazy shit cause I loved those in the 80s when they came out.

4/27 Fucking beautiful plant this PE has become. Wish they all were this easy. She was fussy with nutes but it was the calmag and potassium she sucked up hard. Potassium was added via banana skin tea and kloombloom. Buds are swelling and tightening up. Smell is still tropical fruit now and later candy dankness. After the other seed runting on me. I kinda said fuck this strain and it's low THC. I usually like to grow a few seeds of each strain at a time. But she is still here and doing her thing. Will top the pot with lobster compost tomorrow for some added organic nutes for some swellness. 4/28 Plant taking water twice as normal past few waterings. Alternating water then nute juice days are over and all waterings will contain banana skin or kloombloom to swell up buds. Trichome production lacks hard with this strain so far. Some frost has shown it's self this past week on sugar leaves but on a level of nothing to note. I am also throwing honey water every other day or so for microbes and soil animals.

5/4 PE looking good and smelling like tropical fruit now and later candy. She drinking daily and heavily. Shes getting banana tea every day till cut day to improve bud development. I'm thinking cut sometime next week just by eyes. I will break out out scope for the buds to check trichs for doneness. Nice smelling plant with not a overpowering dank smell. 5/8 PE is smelling good and stacking some grams. I've went with flower girl and banana tea for my stacking nutes. She has responded well and hasn't shown any nute burn which is word. Buds still have a now and later candy smell and trichs are starting to show up with some force now. Stickiness is starting to develop and when buds are disturbed, they release a nice dankness.

5/11 Shes done now if I wanted to clip her. Barney's was right, 9wks seed to cut...very nice, wish I went with a stronger THC from them but PE smells amazing up close. Going to wait till this weekend to cut and hang. 5/14 PE is done and I accidentally gave her water, she sucked it up instantly. I'll cut her tomorrow, and remove main stem to facilitate quicker drying. I glassed her and she was 90% cloudy and 8% +/- amber. Buds are really solid and I couldn't remember if I ever had a bud this tight without kloombloom constantly and at 5ml+. Smell is amazing sorta like some tropical fruit candy with honest pineapple smell melted in your ride. Wish trichome production was better and the THC but I knew what was up when I dropped the seed. Looking forward to getting her dry and getting a final cure weight with these rebar nugs. 5/16 Just waiting for the weekend to chop, plant is definitely ready now at 100% cloudy and 10% amber trichs. Going to feed her tonight and flush tomorrow evening with tap water. Friend told me to flush with tap water cause of high pH and chems in tap water will signal some plants into making more trichomes. I shall see...this plant does lack trich production

Smells cool but lack of THC is disappointing..knew that ahead of grow but regardless disappointed. Trichomes never got ahold in this plant not sure if that's the norm but no plan on another seed drop. I guess I've been spoiled lately with the breeders I've grown lately. Atlas Seeds is trich monster breeder as well as twisted tree. Grown or growing both breeders and impressed with what few seeds I've dropped. Fire ass genetics with them and Barney's PE was a called 3rd strike with me.
