So far so good with maybe one BS getting janky but its early The WW, Triple G and Double Black are looking beefy. As soon as I finish off my 1st indoor I will move some to the big tent for journey. I am hopeful the Black strains are helpful for insomnia as some have suggested I am feeding through hand misting but I dont know how to put that in the site without destroying the internet so i am leaving it here as a note. Happy Holidays!

I just switched the plants from the solo cups. They were in the cups for 33 days and it was a bit too long. The cups were pure roots and the plants looked a bit nut starved so it was time for big girl pots! I am using 10g of soil w/ cow and chicken manure, bone meal, oyster shell, earth worm castings and other random stuff mixed in A white widow was gifted so I am down to one.

They were a bit root bound and are growing into the new acreage. Water plan is to start in a slowly increasing pattern to encourage root growth w/o soaking soil w/o roots. The trick is wicking. I trimmed the lower leaves, some had stressed in the solo cups and it is proper to get tight for the new pots. My plan is to flower in 10 days and go for a few huge colas per plant...best laid plans and all

Wk6D1 - So far so good. The WW is going to be a challenge to keep under control if it keeps getting happy. The Black Sugars are finally fleshing out. The 3G and BD are happy. I removed a few bottom leaves that rested on the soil and where damaged. Wk6D3 - I did a bit of high stress training, trimmed what seemed like a good idea and put some soft wire guides in place. Wk6D6 - Topped everything but BS1. I am planning to switch the lights tomorrow

What is the best way to spread out a pure indica? They are so short and squat they training them horizontally has been challenging for me. Any tips are appreciated.

With patience and slowly. Can't really do much until the branches lengthen. Topping the meristem can speed up the branch growth at the expense of the main crown, however this can be beneficial as often the main crown on Indicas gets so dense and thick that they are prone to fungal attack, with the associated loss of flowers that creates. These days I top all my (heavy) Indicas as a preventitive to loss from bud rot and believe topped plants can produce just as much, if not more, than an untopped plant, especially if you factor in any losses from bud rot. In severe cases, losses in the main crown bud can be as high as 80-90% due to bud rot. These comments are directed towards photoperiod plants, with autos you really only have patience to contend with as you wait for the branches to grow, as topping autos can be a major yield reducer due to the recovery time from topping eating into the veg time before flowering starts automatically around the fourth to fifth week, sometimes as early as the third week. Going to an 18/6 light schedule will speed up branch growth, meaning you can get training sooner. Hope this helps, Organoman.

I pulled everything out of the tent, cleaned it, moved it a few feet and re-organized the cabling. So far so good. The WW has some huge leaves. Net is in and the plants have been trimmed. Ill let them do their this for awhile

So Ive gone a bit ape shit with experimenting. Ive chopped the plants from least aggressive to basically a finger thick stem with two leaves. I sprayed the most chopped with gibberellic acid. I switched lights this week.

Been busy so the updates have been slow. The gibberellic acid has caused some crazy growth and a lemon lime color to foliage. It looks like a CalMag deficiency but you cannot give it enough to turn it dark and the plants are going nuts. I sprayed the BS2 and snapped it in half a week or so ago and its has shot up like a...weed The Double Black and 3G got some over spray. I hacked the crap out of the 3G to see what happens BS1 has the largest leaves I have produced the WW is blooming with red hairs the BS2 I ripped in half and sprayed with GA is going bat shit and very freaky. It is shooting like bamboo while flowering and will quickly outgrow the tent at this rate.

So far so good for spray shit with GA. I may pull the Black Sugar that I dosed intentionally. It is shooting out of control and the flowers are hair thin. The non spray Black Sugar is doing well and I am going for a main bud more than many tops The White Widow looks to be my producer and it is stinky already Double Black is doing well in its indica manner Lastly the 3G was oversprayed with GA but I think will be ok

So far so good. The nights are very cool which has slowed things down a fuzz. I put a thin layer of sand on top so I can detect if any critters are emerging from the soil. Side note I have 5 praying mantis egg cases ready for this summer in the greenhouse My results with Gibberellic Acid have been wild. Uncontrolled growth that only kicks in after flowering starts. I had to pull the BS2 it was a single shoot like bamboo that was 40 inches tall when I pulled it. Growing @3 inches per day. It was the only plant I meant to spray. The 3G and Double Black were hit with over spray due to a technique error. The Black Sugar looks like it is clawing but it seems to be the phenotype. The leaves uncurl as they mature and the plant is looking good. I left an original fan leaf on that is approaching 15 inches.

Anyone play with Gibberellic Acid before? I sprayed an indica (Black Sugar) with it heavily during veg and produced explosive growth during flower but not what you would call desirable.

Abstract Four-week-old Cannabis sativa L. plants were treated with 1 ml. of gibberellic acid or indoleacetic acid at concentrations up to 250 p.p.m. The treatment was repeated at weekly intervals for 3 weeks. These plants were harvested 1 week after the last treatment. Gibberellic acid caused a significant increase in height and a decrease in the weight of leaves and Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol content Indoleacetic acid produced no significant changes. Gibberellic acid when applied at a concentration of 100 µM enhances the amount of THC and CBD in the plant tissue. One reasonable hypothesis for this action is that the application of Gibberellic acid adds to the regulation of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid, ramping the level of ethylene, thus leading to increased THC and CBD content (Mansouri et al., 2011). ... Thanks for setting me off on new quest for knowledge.
