Really excited to finally try Runtz! The seed popped hard and fast, with the root showing less than 24hours after getting it started in wet paper towels. Left it for two further days to develop before planting directly into the 5L pot it’ll stay in. Probably will just FIM and some light LST but we’ll see. Soil is Biobizz Allmix.
Thank you to Zamnesia for the tester seeds! Here’s what they had to say about this strain:
Following the release of Girl Scout Cookies, Gorilla Glue, Monster Zkittlez, Gelato, and Purple Punch, we bring you the next sought-after Cali strain: Runtz. Our breeders worked very hard to make this truly remarkable cultivar available for our European customers. And boy, has this work paid off! But what else can you expect from a cross of two of the most exciting, tasty, and potent strains to come out of Cali?
To not tease you any longer—the magnificence of Runtz was achieved by crossing Gelato and Zkittlez. Enough said. Runtz is the current pinnacle of modern cannabis breeding, giving you one of the most balanced hybrids out there (50% sativa/50% indica), with peak potency and a terpene profile that smells just like a bag of fruity candy.
So, let's get down to the nitty-gritty. Runtz stays relatively short in the grow room, reaching a moderate 80–130cm in height. One of the many cool things about this strain is its short flowering time of only 8–9 weeks. This means you won't have to wait long to feast on her purple and lime-green, resin-coated buds. Her yield is also very impressive. With a little love and care, Runtz is able to produce 450–500g/m² in the grow room. Grown outside, you can expect a harvest of about the same amount per plant, ready in late September or early October.
One of the most exciting and raved about qualities of Runtz is, of course, her high. Being a very balanced hybrid, Runtz gives you the best of both worlds. You will experience a deep and relaxing physical sensation, but not in a couch-lock way. Expect to feel euphoric, uplifted, and creative, without the paranoia and anxiety that sometimes come along with it. And don't let the expression "very balanced" fool you—Runtz is as potent as it gets! Her flowers are loaded with a stunning 27% THC! So take it easy with this creamy and smooth smoke as you will stay blasted for hours.
But what about the flavour and aroma? Well, we saved the best bit for last, you know?! Runtz was given this name for a reason. Putting your nose deep into a bag of Runtz is exactly like smelling a bag full of sugary candy—that's how incredibly fruity she smells! This is the kind of smoke that is hard to share, and that your friends will envy you for. It tastes that good. Welcome to the candy factory!
Want to experience this spectacular aroma for yourself? Then get your hands on this rare cannabis treasure. We hope you'll love it as much as we do!

Hey whats up? Just saw your diary and i got a question, so you been in flower for 10 Weeks now? Is this the Photoperiod Version of Runtz? On their page Zamnesia says it will take about 8-9 Weeks, whats your opinion on that, when will you harvest and how are the trichomes looking? Are you using 10ML/L of each nutrient or is that incorrect?
Sorry for that many questions but i have the same LED and Seed, and you are a few weeks in advance, that’s why im asking you
Greetings & nice grow :)

Thanks! Yes, I use all mix but don’t give any nutes for the first 3-4 weeks. I don’t really like the biobizz schedule too much; for my autos I cut it in half and for photos it really depends on the strain. The plants are looking a bit sad in part because my friend wasn’t able to get to water or feed them for a while, and the small pots don’t hold much water (or nutrients). They might have locked out once he fed them, but not sure. I’ve definitely burned my plants before though, so it’s definitely possible!
I’ve never had problems in the tent with mold, but my tent runs pretty dry in the winter. The summer is harder especially with a full tent. However, I have stupidly not quite dried the buds enough after harvesting. After a while I had to throw out a few ounces because they’d gone moldy in the curing jars! That was depressing. 😂
@Growpotkin Thank you for your friendly Feedback:) For me its also my first grow on my own, but i did much research on this topic, especially on the nurtients and soil, so maybe i can help you out.
What i can see on your plants is due to that many nutrients, your plants showing signs of overfeeding, means you put to many nutrients in the water.
I recommend to use the BioBizz Nutrient Schedule, it helped me out a lot.
For that: which soil are you using, is it also from Biobizz?
I use BioBizz Light Mix and Allmix.
Many people in the internet say that All-Mix would be a better choice for the plants because it has a better mix.
I personally use the Light-Mix right now, its also cheaper, and since i do a budget grow to just get enough weed for myself thats ok.
PH Testing is always good. I had PH issues when i started my grow because i just didnt knew which ph would be the best. The internet said around 6.2ph would be perfect. But i dont recommend it, instead i use this method, when you feed your plants put normal tap water into a bucket and let it rest for 24h, then put in your Nutrients from the schedule from biobizz (you can find in the web) in. Mix it up and feed for the plant. Also important (i found in research), after you added the nutrients to your water dont store it for longer than 24h because otherwise the nutrients wont be activated in your soil because they already started the chemical process in the water.
I’ve another question about your grow, do you have any kind of problems with mold? I’m really scared of it, because i dont have much space for my plants in the tent and mold would be very shitty.
Hope i could help you a little bit. Most important dont feed to many nutrients, plants suffer from it and can die.
And as the plant starts to flower its normal that a few not well lighted leaves will show defincies and also sometimes turn yellow or brown.
Greetings

@forgettenseedling, thanks for the questions! It’s my first time growing this one so I’m not an expert on it. Yes, it’s the photoperiod one but I’ve found my grows often are slower than the seed bank says. This might be because I use really small pots? Not sure! I also prefer to harvest with at least 10-20% amber trichromes. I’ve been away for the past two weeks but will probably harvest in a few days once I’m back home—since I’ve been away I haven’t been able to see how the trichromes are looking. As for nutes; yes, this is the most I’ve ever given, but it’s still showing deficiencies! I think it’s also due to the small pot size. I also haven’t been Ph testing, which I probably should….
Is that helpful? I’ll check out yours, good luck with it!
