'Elsa' was a specimen pheno of a GG4 that earned her name because she was truly a frost queen.
"Polar Mangani"
Mangani: Legendary species of ape who raised Tarzan in Edgar Rice Burrows' classic novel.
Elsa was bred with a Platinum Gorilla (https://growdiaries.com/seedbank/in-house-genetics/platinum-gorilla) from In House Seeds, and 'Polar Mangani' is the result. There were limited viable seeds, and I got a pair! (Thanks Wilde!)
"Yeti Goo"
Yeti: Legendary ape-like species, also known as the Abominable Snowbitch.😉
'Elsa' was bred with a Platinum Gushers (https://growdiaries.com/seedbank/in-house-genetics/platinum-gushers) from In House Seeds, and 'Yeti Goo' is the result. Again, there were limited viable seeds, and I got a pair! (Thanks Wilde!)
================================
12/4:
Planted a pair of each strain into starter pots and got them wet.
12/10:
Both Manganis popped up in about 72 hours, but only one of the Yeti Goo popped and those were the only two of those beans I had.😕
12/12:
The second Yeti Goo still hasn't popped😕..but the other 3 seedlings look strong.
I added a few drops of Superthrive to their feed water.
12/13:
Still just the one Yeti Goo sprout...
12/14:
Added some Boomerang to the feed water.
12/16:
Guess it's just gonna be one Yeti Goo this run...and forever unless I clone her...
I potted them up today and dusted their roots with a bunch of mycorrhizae fungus.🙏
12/18:
Not getting a good germination rate initially caused me to forestall giving nutrients to them until the replacement could catch up, and now I've got obvious N deficiency going on, but they'll recover.
12/19:
The Yeti Goo is kinda slow to take off, but the Manganis have good vigor.
They were dry enough today that I went ahead and fed them some One, Kangaroots, and Superthrive.......okay girls, impress me!
12/22:
I sprayed them with Boom Boom Spray and Axiom Harpin a|b proteins today and fed them full strength One along with some humic acid.
Yeti Goo is catching up to the Mangani twins.
12/24:
I fed them today with One, Kangaroots, silica, and superthrive.
12/27:
I fed them each about a half gallon of One, silica, and added some ca/mg.
I set the timers for 12/12...they should be pretty perky after their first night of beauty sleep.💤💪
I am gonna continue the 460w of 5000k+ lighting treatment for another few days, then I'll remove the little lights and hit them with the whole 720w of 3000k plus reds.
12/31:
They've been under the flowering lights for a couple days now.
I sprayed them with boom boom spray and axiom for the last time.
1/1:
Fed them One and silica today.
1/3/2022:
I fed them One, silica, and gave them a little Open sesame so they've got plenty of P and K available if they want it. Also started adding a little signal and sweet & sticky.
Also started UVB stressing for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening.
1/4:
Today is the 31st day from seed.
1/6:
Fed them One, signal, sweet & sticky, silica, kangaroots, ca/mg, and open sesame.
Made a fresh batch of sugar and yeast for the CO2 generator.
1/10:
I fed heavily today with One, signal, humic acid, silica, sweet & sticky, and open sesame.
Spotted a couple of pollen sacs on the Yeti Goo today....😣
1/13:
I fed today..same stuff..
Sadly, I had to cull the Yeti Goo...it was making male flowers all through the plant...
1/15:
Both Manganis are reminding me of the first Elsa F2 I ran...a jungle to themselves...very bushy and unruly...but frosting over, very early 👍
1/24:
I shoulda fed today, but had no time...
1/25:
I fed today with One, signal, beastie bloomz, silica, sweet & sticky, and humic acid... also foliar fed them with Microlife Maximum Blooms
1/30:
Fed today.
2/14:
Decreased distance between the lights and canopy. Let the maximum swell commence!
2/16:
Fed today..increased sugars/carbs. This was probably the last feeding with Beastie Bloomz..switching to Cha Ching at next feed and cutting back on the One.
2/20:
I fed today. Started them on a full dose of cha ching and liquidsoil, and stopped adding silica.
Turned on the dehumidifier.
2/21:
Increased UVB exposure by another half-hour per day.
2/23:
Fed today....reduced One....added 1/4 tsp/gal of Cha ching, plus signal, sweet & sticky, and liquidsoil.
Increased UVB exposure by another half-hour per day.
2/27:
Fed today.
2/28-3/1:
One of them has fully senesced to a deep purple, and the other has begun to do so...still fattening👍
Both plants have flowers forming on the petioles of fan leaves...like hippy chicks with hairy armpits..
3/3:
Fed today..probably the purple one's last dose of N.
3/7:
I flushed the purple one with 5 gallons of warm water and liquidsoil. I fed the green one with a dose of cha ching, signal, sweet & sticky and liquidsoil. She'll get flushed at next watering as well.
3/11:
Live trimmed the first plant today...WOW it's the sticky-icky! Went through 2 pairs of trimmers!
I flushed the other plant with 5 gallons of warm water and liquidsoil.
3/12:
Harvested and washed the first one today.
Plant A: 137g
This plant was the frostiest and most photogenic, but not the heaviest.
Plant B: 162g
Her lowers were much more dense than the other plant, which accounts for most of the difference in weight, but her cola was a little bigger too.
Another winner from WildeWeedSeed!👋👍
