Shes looking good after planting the rapid rooter right into the nursery bag.
Will be transplanting her next week.
The soil that was cooked for the 7 gallon pot for transplant has 1cup Kelp Meal, 1/2 cup 50/50 Shrimp/Crab Meal, 1/2 cup Neem Seed Meal and 1 cup Dolomite Lime
I added 2c Basalt Dust, 1c Oyster Shell Flour and 1c of Gypsum Dust.
Shes transplanted and so far no shock has occurred the past 2 days.
She did stretch her main stem about 3/4" as the fabric pots are shorter than Lowes 5 gal buckets that I have DWC for 2 other Purple Kushes in the grow closet.
So I used a 6" net pot bucket lid to put under the 7 gallon fabric pot to make up the 6 inches to even it out.
I adjusted the light back to 13"
So far she has darkened just a little in a couple days, We'll see how she likes that Rabbit poop.
The rabbit poop i took 1/3 of it and ground it up in a food processor to a fine dust while wearing a N95 and running my air purifier.
I then took another 1/3 of it and medium ground it. The other 1/3 was left as whole pellets. I did this as I assume it will help provide nutrients immediately, medium and then long term.
This is supposed to be a water only grow so we will see.
Day 15 - Shes looking nice. Steady growth. Tight nodes. Looks like the light distance for early veg is good.
Day 19 - Growth is consistent but could be better. Keeping an eye on the green color because this is organic soil I mixed up a month ago.
End of Week 3 - Nice growth. Leaves are slightly darker now.
Day 22 - Mixed up 1/4 tsp of Recharge in 16 oz of water. Poured it around the plant and then watered it in.
Day 24 - Topped her above 5th node.
Day 26 - She's got a nice medium dark green color. She's looking really nice so far.
Day 29 - Transferred to 4X4 Grow tent under Mars Hydro TS3000 at 75% power. Fully watered her smart pot. She looks nice and healthy and dark green. So far the Coots Mix recipe is working nicely.
No fertilizers used yet. Will continue to monitor especially in flower. I'll be using banana tea for her Phosphorus and Potassium until week 5 or 6 of flower then switch to Incredible Bulk the remainder of flower.
Day 32 - She's growing very nice and strong. Nice color. The Coots Mix is living up to its reputation.
Day 37 - Decided to remove Scrog net and use the tomato cages. Cut the legs off about 5" so the lower ring is closer to top if pot for LST. Used pipe cleaners. They spread nicely and the middle was really nice looking and now lots of light exposure for more Colas.
She was 12" before tying her down. Still growing very nice. No ferts so far. Just water and recharge.
Day 39 - Amazing growth 2 days after LST. This Coots Mix variant soil recipe is kicking ass. Nice green color. Uniform growth. I bet that Rabbit shit I ground up into 3 different grades is helping fuel the Nitrogen. Cant wait to see this girl stretch when I flip her.
Day 41 - She is growing really nice and still compact even with LST. Put more fan on her as I found some leaves wetting others. Soon I'll reduce humidity to 60. Still have a young seedling Alaskan Purple Auto in the tent to replace the one DWC grow that went bad.
Goal is to keep LST for 2 more weeks before flipping. This is the 2nd LST and the canopy is filling in nicely.
The Coots Mix soil recipe is the bomb so far. The rabbit manure ground up is also contributing to this wonderful growth and color. Worm Castings with Rabbit manure seems to be the best compost.
Only pH 6.5 water so far
Day 47 - She's staying short and bushy. She is still growing consistently and nice green color.
Day 49 - Defoliated her today to get more airflow and light to more budsites. . Flipping the grow tent next week.
Day 53 - She needed watered so since I am flipping the grow tent on Monday morning I decided to give her a Fox Farm nutrient feed for the stretch and pre bloom.
I believe the soil recipe isn't big on Phosphorous so I was planning on using Banana Peel Tea or Incredible Bulk to feed her during flower. I have Fox Farm nutes too which I decided to use prior to the 1-2 week stretch.
Day 64 - Slight defoliation and trimming of small branches to focus growth to the tops during flower stretch. Starting week 2 of the stretch. Preflowering is increased as more pistils are appearing at the nodes. Hopefully snowballs form next week.
Day 68 - She's a slow grower. Shes a small compact bush. Must be genetics. There's plenty of nutes in the soil for her. Nodes are very tight as well. These buds are going to grow into each other.
Day 80 - Seems she's done growing st 2 ft tall. She's a healthy short bush. Flowers are close due to tight node spacing. I'll have to keep an eye out to make sure bud rot doesn't occur the rest of the grow cycle.
Day 90 - For being the shortest she has nice buds so far. Water her 2 time a week and feed her 1 time a week. Using recharge and Incredible Bulk now with a little grow big from Fox Farm for some nitrogen.
Day 99 - Defoliating this plant is a chore. The nodes are really tight. The small leaves are growing into the buds. Everything is sticky. Some trichromes are turning amber already. Still far from being done though. Still in peak flower.
Added a fan a couple weeks ago to improve aeration. Especially because of this plant. She had super tight nodes and remained short and bushy compared to the others. Now the buds and small leaves are swelling into each other. I have reduced humidity down to 50%. By next week I'm aiming to get it down to 45 then 40 for the final weeks. Bud rot is of concern with how compact and dense she is. So far no signs of mold mildew or bud rot
Day 121 - Most pistils have turned orangish brown. More amber trichromes are forming. Harvest window is open. Waiting for more ambers. I want 70/30 amber to milky. This should be nice bedtime smoke.
Day 127 - She's still ripening. Trichromes are turning amber still. Waiting for 50 to 75% amber. Maybe 2 weeks. Senescence is in the beginning phase so harvest is around the corner.
This lady was a typical short bushy indica that got only 2 ft tall but produced decent sized colas and nugs.
Final dry weight and smoke report in a couple days.
This was a lot of fun and I'm trying to figure out which strain to grow next. I have some Grandaddy Purple X Dosidos from Expert Seeds and Blueberry Cheesecake from Female Seeds in the Netherlands.
