12/25/21 Seeds into water for 2 hours. Then into the seedling bag rooter setup. Under the sprouter with t5 light 18/6. Struggling with humidity so far, only getting to 55 or so in the sprouted dome. 12/26/21 added an inkbird+humidifier setup since the sprouter even with a layer of water in the bottom is only getting to 60% rh max. Probably for the best since I live in a very dry area and will likely need this later. Got the fan up as well, just have to set up my light and then the autopots now. 12/27 Qookies sprouted! I could tell she was coming up earlier but when my light came on 48 hours after I put the seeds into water she was clearly up! Got everything set up with my light and my climate is now completely under control with the humidifier+inkbird and ac infinity t6 exhaust fan.

12/29 Grape wasn’t doing much so I started to germ another seed, but then of course Grape sprouted today! So I am calling it day 1. 12/27 for Qookies. Thinking about feeding Qookies for the first time today but going to leave Grape alone for another couple days. Fed Qookies 12/30 Qookies started really stretching to the light and fell over. Stood her up; Turned on the QB at about 20% 24” and everything is better now. Grape looking awesome, seed coat fell off easily and gave her a little bit of nutrients. A bit worried about bacteria so wanted to get hydroguard started at least. 12/31 Everyone looking better today, ditched the T5 (going to return, super sprouter seems unnecessary and the light sucks). Turned the QB up to 30% and have it maybe 20” from the plants in the dome. Grape is not stretching nearly as bad as Qookies did so overall I think the light is in a better configuration now. 1/2 everyone looking healthy, unfortunately Q fell over again from the early stretch. Ditched the sprouter dome, Propped her up and got a fan going on them, raised the light slightly because the dome was blocking some light I think. 12 hours later everyone is thriving outside of the dome. Lowered the light a bit maybe 18” they seem to be loving it

Day 7 a bit concerned they are getting too much light. Turned out my estimation was off and I had my QB 260w at about 30% 8-10” away. I moved it to 24” at 20-30% and the Photone app measures that as an acceptable 300 PFD. Not sure if the app is accurate but this does seem to light up with what recommendations I can find for this board. Day 8 everything looking healthier today. Moving to the new nutrient solution at 500ppm slightly lower than the chart recommends. They clearly sustained some damage/stunting from the light being way too powerful but I am going to continue on with these plants as they seem to be rooting and recovering just fine. I think it was only 1-2 days of the overkill light. Day 9 I researched more and decided that my nute schedule probably is too hot for an auto. Going to go about 75% from here on out. I fed them at 1EC yesterday and they were fine, but I ended up feeding them again later that night at about .9 EC to lower it down a bit. Fed them again this morning at .9 EC and everyone is doing great. Day 10 things are looking a lot better, checked my outflow ec and felt that it was too high (1000 in, 1700 out) so I watered again and the inflow was about equal to the outflow. Increasing watering amount/frequency now. Day 11 looking even healthier. I think Qookies has 2.5-3 full nodes now and my containers are smaller than solo cups so decided to pot up/transplant to 1 gallon containers. Unfortunately it did not go how I hoped. I got them out of the old bags fine but during the actual motion of getting them into the hole in the new bag, the cohesive coco/rootball all collapsed and became loose. I covered it all as quickly as I could and straightened things out/buried the roots. They look pretty great in the new pots not but I am concerned that I have stressed them excessively from the less-than-gentle transplant. I guess we will see in the next few days. Day 13 the girls were completely unphased by the transplant which I now realize was too early. Qookies is just now at 3 true nodes. Regardless, happy with their progress even though they do seem a bit small for their age. Not going to sweat it and just going to continue as I have been. Increased light to 30% 24” - about 15 DLI at 20 hours according to Photone. Had to mix nutes and noticed the next week on my schedule is barely different so just went to the w3 nutes today.

I think my plants might be stressed. Do they look like they are getting too much light or something else? They seem to be growing new nodes but there is no space between them. At first I was dealing with stretching but now I think I went too far.

Seedlings in coco can be tricky, and I love coco! I was initially going to say no, as your seedlings looked to be stretching quite a bit. From their structure I would have said the light was a little too low. Then I saw that your 240watt qb was 8 inches away and that gave me a little fright! But I noticed you have it dimmed down, so I don't think the light is entirely responsible (although being too close/strong could exacerbate nutrient issues). You can look at my Euforia journal for a coco grow plant that I over lit a bit. I grow very similarly to you in coco, frequent fertigations, GH flora, etc , so I like what you have going on! But an EC of 1.1 this early is really high. I think this is the cause. I would have it at half, with about .3 going to cal-mag and .3 going to base nutrients. Then slowly dial it up to .8 maybe if the issues seem to reverse and the plant grows another node or so. I wouldn't go to 1.1 until mid-late veg at the earliest when the roots have been well established and the plant is happy with it's environmental conditions. Hope this helps, feel free to message me if you have more questions. Happy growing! 🌱👍

Day 14 - Everything seems to be going great. Girls are getting big quick! Thinking about topping or fimming at the 5th node Day 15 - no real updates just getting big Turned light up to 30% 30” 350 par Day 16 - Fimmed Qookies today as she is bringing in node 5. I was trying to follow this autoflower.net guide but definitely took more than intended because of my bad eyesight. It’s called fimming though so I’m not too worried, I definitely accomplished removing top growth without topping her. Going to see how she reacts and then do Grape if it’s okay, since grape is only on node 4 right now. Day 17 - Qookies was largely unaffected by the fimming although growth at the top has definitely slowed. Her other nodes are still flourishing though. Moved forward with fimming Grape at the 5th node. Oddly enough after that Grape seemed to start growing even faster, 4th node growing really quick. Day 20 - Transplanted to final home today. Could have waited longer but wasn’t too bad. Next grow I will be implementing a stress free transplant system (the plants didn’t care, it’s for me). They were definitely droopy post-transplant, after watering at lights on, but they perked right back up and are looking great. Also starting to smell!

Are my girls ready to transplant to final pot? I transplanted from seedling bag to 1 gallon on day 11 around 2 nodes. Now it is day 18 and my girls have recovered from fimming and have ~5 nodes. They are also substantially larger now. Pictures are day 18 and day 11

Nice looking plants. Your transplanting timeline will be based on how dense the root ball is and If it has fully expanded in that new container, If it has not you should wait a bit. The grow bags you use, what kind are they?? it almost looks like the easily open at the green part. I'd wait another week before transplanting. Let the roots really fill it out. Best Of Luck and Happy Growing!

Day 21 - Moved into Autopots today and got them running. A bit frustrated because apparently I have the “new tray design” which requires the use of a grommet… that is not included in the box and was not shipped to me separately. Fortunately I was concerned about flooding issues and set up some containment beforehand which prevented too much hassle. I sealed the holes with silicone sealant and they seem to be working correctly now. Qookies is sagging a bit and doesn’t seem too happy with the transplant. She is still growing and no signs of deficiency as far as I can tell though. Grape on the other hand is just flourishing. My tent smells of skunk! Day 24 - started LST a few days ago. Both girls are growing like crazy now. Hard to know if the Fim was successful or not.. every node seems to be becoming a main node now regardless. Grape has some crazy looking leaves from the Fim, and I guess her lineage also has some impact on the strange leaves. Hoping this is just a phase and won’t have an impact on her later since she is getting huge otherwise. Decided to lower my light intensity for a while to see if they will grow vertically again. They are so short and bushy it’s completely unmanageable training wise.

Day 30 - girls are growing like crazy, seeing definite preflower signs now. Mild nute burn I think due to not flushing out my coco enough. I only went until the runoff was ~1.2 EC, and the feeding runoff was high after that. Then I started the Autopots and I think that the further lack of flushing started it. It’s only on old growth though. Day 34 - ended up changing to the transition nutes for 2 days on day 30, then to the early bloom nutes on day 32. Definitely having a potassium deficiency which appears to be slowing down after increasing the bloom nutes. I am still running low EC (1.0-1.1) but I am going to wait a bit before changing anything else. Regardless of the deficiency growth has gotten absolutely insane. Cannot believe the day to day change and the size of these autos on my first grow!

No chance of nute burn, here this is K deficiency. It SCREAMS to me!! if she was my plant I would gave her 500ppm potassium sulfate as soon as possible. I am an organic grower. But you are a coco grower. This looks like your auto plant in your diary. Looking at your feedings data: lots of supplement, micro, not enough base nutrients. Florabloom at 1.2 ml a gal is not enough as she is about to explode in bloom. Try to follow Flora trio Feeding Chart at half strength and see if it fix the deficiency.

Day 37 - Girls are completely filling out the tent now. Still fighting a potassium deficiency, upped my EC slightly to 1.2 from ~1 today. I understand now that my use of 0ppm RO water could be responsible and I need to feed extra to compensate. Unfortunately my tap water is 800ppm so that’s my only choice. Day 41 - continuing to grow massive, I believe my deficiency is fully sorted out now. Drinking a ton of water now (1gal/day/plant or more)

Day 49 - after new setup and lights I believe I have some light burn. Grape is insanely bushy but I am hoping she continues to stretch herself out like Qookies did. Day 51 - got my HLG 200 diablos installed. They are insanely bright at 24+ inches still reading 1000 ppfd basically all over the high points on my canopy and 600+ to the exposed/outside lowers. Decided to move to 18/6 schedule as the plants are clearly done with the light several hours before it turns off anyways. My plants still seem a bit stressed, but I am hoping it’s just the light now seeing as these lights have less power and are still melting my plants. Day 52 - think I was still blasting them with too much light. Grape finally starting to spread out a bit though.

The new growth is looking a bit lemon lime green and the tips of the plants are yellowing. This can be caused by lighting being to close the the plant leaves are going through to many nutrients. Your on the high end of scale for auto feeding at 1.2EC, some of them do not like to go above 0.8-1.0 https://www.autoflower.net/forums/threads/med-man-method-feeding-chart-ppm-ec.47856/ its not a perfect reference needs adjustment if the plant needs less or more. As for the light, did the new one come with any par or lighting maps/suggestions for hang height? is this the new or old light on the diary? growdiaries.com/grow-lights/horticulture-lighting-group-hlg/260w-qb-v2-rspec Its suggested hang height via googleing is 24" but best to contact the manufacture and get the info. Good grow lights have this in the manuals. I did find this PPFD map on one web page. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0504/4713/files/HLG_260W_PAR_grande.jpg?v=1533054531 https://www.ledgrowlightsdepot.com/products/horticulture-lighting-group-260-watt-v2-r-spec-quantum-board-diy-kit Autos can also take lower light as well. maybe try a bit higher or lowering the feed. Test one thing at a time or you wont know what one worked out for you. Given that PPFD maps readings and assuming they are true. 24" should be fine, I'm leaning toward lowering the feed a bit. Check your runoff if that's applicable and confirm PH and EC are stable, then go from there, Best of Luck!
