Ok this week has been a tough one with lots of visitors meaning the sisters have spent more time in the shade than I would have liked. Took some pics in the sun this morning you can see some new growth and improvement to Don after she was eaten alive (slugs/snails). The Ganlgler also has some additional growth to her stem after increasing height. Will Ben topping her in another inch as don’t have room in their space to allow her to be much better bigger. Still no sign of flowering yet and may think of bringing them indoors overnight next week. Both plants have a slight smell now the Cat 🐈 is on guard. Although he has eaten my stash before now so will have to cat proof once they flower no doubt.

Hello friend, I’m not one to come and lie to people about how things are going as I would like honest opinions myself. Things do not look fine for you. The plant is suffocating in its pot. I can tell by the shape and thickness of the stem. There is a way to save her if you would like assistance DM me. Good luck

I am outdoor growing and into week 9/10 my question is around when these ladies should start to flower? Should I be good just to keep them out and treat any bugs as I can? Finally as this was bag seed can anyone tell me what strain I have?

Hi @Noobfarmer ! So 1st about the stain of thosecbagseeds : sorry bout' that but it is really impossible to know except if you remember the strain you found them in ( not a 707 headbang ? ). Concerning the bugs you should treat yours plants right now before they flowering stage because it is easier to treat a plant before she's budding ( you don't want to spray anything on a bud ). Concerning the flowering stage it will come soon , in outdoor the sun lights amount a day is decreasing around end of July so this phenomenon will make your lady show the fist signs of flowering during mid august ! Even if you can't know the strain you'r growing on , you can see if it is a indica dom strain or a sativa dom . I hope it will help you for the best 👍😁👊

I know I am nearing the end of this journey, that started. Many months ago with some seedy weed. I also know I need to be patient, however should I partially harvest the larger plant? The smaller plant isn’t there yet as is the lower sections of the big plant, any views?

I think if you can keep a close eye on various parts of the plant and you see different trichrome color and maturity, same with pistils, then yes, harvesting in sections is ok. However youll want to be careful of your cut sections, you dont want any debris or germs getting in there. So if you harvest 1 plant in sections try and keep the harvests fairly close together, not weeks apart. And its definitely alright harvesting 1 plant before the others are ready, all plants are different and their times are different, even with same strains. Good luck with the harvest, now the exhausting part of trimming comes. Ugh ✌️

The frost may force you to harvest. Under +10c plants don't grow, so that may be a factor too. 👍

@Noobfarmer, I'm surprised she's still going! Mind you, I think outdoor plants are much more hardy than indoor plants.

@Dunk_Junk, think your onto something haven’t seen much growth this week and defo much lower temps here in the uk :(

Considering she's been through a frost she's looking well! I think she's got a few weeks left yet. The calyxes need to be all dark. Do you have a 60x loupe? What do the trichomes look like? 👍

Hey NF, you've still got a solid month maybe more before you want to harvest my friend, I had to do a double take on your text because I thought you said you were going to "partially harvest" to get light to the lower parts of the plant. If you mean you're going to cut the top of your main cola off to get lights to the lower bud spots, that's not a good idea. This plant will get much much fatter, it's not close to ripe yet - dont cut it in half 😂

You’ll do fine outdoors. What parallel are you, if you don’t mind sharing that? I am curious to ask why you chose the Caribe strain, which sounds a bit specialized for a first ever grow. Best wishes for a great harvest

@growdoctordc, not sure about parallel? Also didn’t choose a strain but unsure how to edit my diary to show as mystery bag seed lol

You should see flowering begin any day now. Usually it starts early to mid August outdoors. No way of guessing a strain from the strain from a pic. I’d make up a name or just call it “weed” 😉

Hi @Noobfarmer! Your plants will start blooming/flowering when the available light time will decrease, so usually by the end of the summer depending on your location. You can use a website like https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/ to find out. About the strains, we can't guess it unless you provide a full smoke report, zommed pictures of the buds and a complete diary on the run, and even with all those informations, guessing the right strain is going to be tricky. Finally, about your bugs/pests, you should treat asap, I'd suggest to try neem-oil first (mix 10~12 drops of pure neem-oil in a liter of water and spray at night or in the early morning), if neem-oil does not work to repel your invaders, you may consider chemical pesticides before your plants start blooming (you should avoid spraying during flowering stage). One last thing, I noticed the cat 😂Be warned that they're known to eat cannabis, and pee on plants, so I'd recommend to make sure this won't happen and maybe protect the plants with a net/fence. Hope this helps, I'll be around, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

sorry @Noobfarmer for the unclear question with the use of the word parallel. Where are you in relation to the equator? Tropic, sub tropics, temperate? I ask because I’m interested in Caribe seeds, but have had little success growing sativas in my climate indoors. I’m at 38oN, a temperate zone. Even indoors the outdoor climate affects the grow because of the house being heated or cooled. This site is fun and I’m grateful for it, but they need to make editing easier, eh? Best wishes for a great harvest

Hi @Noobfarmer! They all look healthy, except the small one in the green container which looks really dry / under-watered. I think you should water more often. As an emergency move to save this baby, I would try to give her water + roots stimulator and put her under a plastic bottle to raise up the relative humidity. For all the other ones, you may consider applying LST methods (pinching, bending, ponytailing) or HST methods (FIMming/TOPping) to get bushy plants and increase your yield. Hope this helps, keep us up-to-date and good luck with these beauties! 👊
