This one is going to be amazing. This is a tester seed that I obtained from my girlfriend. She got them from Rocky Mountain High Genetics 719 out of Colorado. It's a cross between Crusty Weasel and Hitman OG. (Crusty Weasel = Chem i95 x GMO)
Love using Fox Farms Ocean Forest. Literally don't need to add any nutrients for at least a month. It's really easy to tell when you need to start feeding. Just look for the yellowing on the cotyledons. This is the marker I look for that tells me it's time to transplant and get her into more nutrients.
Slow goes the growth on this lady. Compared to my harvest in the summer with Jelly Pancakes this is about 1/3 slower growth rate. I'm sure running cooler temps has something to do with it to. Normally in the summer I veg at 83F while in the winter it's 76F. That's just the way of saving electricity. If I had rooms dedicated to the grows I could optimize the environment.
I'm seeing some purple stems and don't know if it's from magnesium deficiency or genetics or the temperature that is causing it. I went ahead and gave her some cal-mag to see if anything changes.
Keep in mind at 6 weeks is when Jelly Pancakes went into flowering. This thing barely has started branching starting her 7th week. I started some LST because she's getting tall with not enough branching to top and send to flower yet.
Nothing much has changed. She has these really nice light green colored leaves. Almost makes her look fragile with the way they look. Next week will be her topping.
My mistake.....next week will be her topping. This is the slowest plant I have grown so far. It looks like it's going to be a full 9 weeks from seed before she gets sent to flower.
She finally has enough branching satisfying me enough to send her to flower. I prefer the 6 weeks from seed than an extra 3 weeks added on but we'll see what she produces because the smoke report tells all.
During the first week I take off all of the LST to let her stretch uninhibited. I find that holding the plants down during this phase kind of stresses them out and you get less stretch to put a nice stack of buds on. Really excited for this one.
The frost is starting to come in per usual week 3. This lady had quite the stretch. I would say probably 3 times her original height from when she entered the flowering tent.
This girl is stacking really nicely reaching the end of her stretch last week and now starting to put on the weight. She has a flowering period of 9+ weeks so I am going to give her some big bud into week 5 flower.
Oh yeah, this girls looking nice and frosty. Let me tell you right now, she is dank. She's got some pine but also some dank funk skunky notes to her as well. She's going to be loud.
A friend of mine came over the other day and I wanted to show him this plant. I opened the tent and he goes "oh my gosh." He smelled that dank and is looking forward to the harvest as much as I am. He even contacted me before I chopped her asking if I had chopper her yet lol. Stopped giving her Big Bud this week. I will give her the other additives one more week starting overdrive along with it.
I don't think words can express the stanky coming off her. I give her sugar leaves a little rubby rub rub and smell my fingers quite often. This is totally normal behavior right?
Leaves are yellowing at the bottom and purple leaves starting a nice fade on top. Trichomes are looking proper so it's time to flush her. Hopefully she cures as good as she smells in flower.
Day or night time stuff. She's got some straight gas on the exhale and inhale. Very dank smelling in the jar and when ground up. Leaves a room with the gas smell after smoked.
Slow veg and weak branching. Stretches very tall so you have to train with LST or super cropping. She stretches too much to multi-top. Had purple and red stems throughout veg but they go away in flower.
