This has been an off start. The seed popped on the 18th so I put it in soil.
After 5 days, nothing. I cleared some solid and found the tap root growing up! So I gently dug it up and flipped it over. A couple days later it popped through the soul but is looking pretty rough
I was really unsure about this seeding for a while but it seems to have pulled through. It’s not quite as vigorous as the CDLC that I have next to it, presumably because of the slow start under ground.
I hit it with some Root Magic the other day so I’m hoping that’ll help with some strong roots.
Another week of good growth. This plant has some really nice internodal spacing. It’s also has an interesting shape to the leaves. It’s almost like an elongated fat indica leaf.
This plant is a really stronger grower. It’s been EZPZ so far and it’s growing quite quickly.
Today I tied down the 2 mains. I’m thinking the 2 branches a node below should be able to catch up and I’ll have 4 “main” colas.
That’s the plan anyway…
Ok I timed the topping of this plant perfectly. As you can see in the photos the stretch has really started. She showed her preflowers on D28 from sprout.
Still no feed but I did start to give a half dose of calmag
The stretch is on. This plant is full blown flowering and growing very quickly.
You’ll notice she’s a little droopy from overwatering. This is the result of testing an auto watering system I was experimenting with. Should only be a short time issue
This past week it looked like there was a bit of lockout happening. I have both plants a flush with sledgehammer and followed up with a feeding. They both responded really well.
This plant is starting to stack really nicely already. I think it’ll be a quicker flower cycle with some nice buds. Time will tell….
I completed the week 3F defoliation and the plant had no issues with it. She continues to be a strong grower and has stacked really well over the last week
This was a scary week. I went on vacation for 5 days and was unable to tend to the plants. I used a single Blumat classic for each pot and as you can see it worked really well. The plants were perfectly watered
My only complaint about this system is I was unable to feed the plants. This Top Gun looks hungry and got a nice feeding this morning.
It’s really starting to mature. The buds are swelling and it starting to give a really nice classic weed smell
This plant has really started to look great over the last week. The pistils are turning and the buds are swelling. It’s also developed a pretty strong smell. It reminds me of the old stuff I was getting in the early 2000s
Couple weeks and she’ll be ready for harvest
What a great plant. I’ll be giving it the chop here in a few days or a week max depending on the other plant in the tent.
It’s really swelled up and packed on weight over the last week. The buds also look a lot more mature. Super excited to see how this one ends
I gave this harvest a smoke the other night after a few weeks in jar. The effects from this strain were really pleasant. I felt uplifted without that stoned feeling that some can give you. It’s also has that really nice classic weed favor.
This plant was a nice surprise and a great day time smoke. For sure would grow again
Today I harvested this plant on day 79 from sprout. The trichomes are almost all cloudy with about 10-15% amber. This plant has a really strong smell. It smells like an old school strain with some hints of cat piss (in a good way).
I’ll update everything once it’s dried, trimmed, and jarred.
Edit: After a 10 day dry I ended up with 44 grams of good bud. It’s got a really great citrus smell to it. Can’t wait to give it a smoke! Will update after cure.
This was a great diary to read through! You tackled every issue from struggling seedling to overwatering. I'm actually surprised it was only 44g. That's pretty good, but it looked way bigger.
Anyhow, great job!
