Hi there. So I’ve decided to grow Super Lemon Haze by Green House Seed Co. I have always loved the smell, taste and effect of super lemon haze and I’m hoping this one’s a keeper. I started this seed months ago, but then the thrips came and I put everything on hold. Some plants were 100% destroyed but this girl made it through without a scratch. When manipulated she is stinky even in veg. I’m looking forward to seeing big baseball bats at the end of this!!! The kind people over at Vipar Spectra have decided to sponsor the light for this grow. I will be using the XS2000. Specs for this light are in the pictures. I am really looking forward to the increased quality of my harvest by increasing the quality of the light!! I transplanted these rooted clones into 5 gal pots of Sunshine #4 and perlite and covered the root ball in mychorrizae. Watered with a light nute solution. They were topped approx a week ago. I’ll veg for a week or 2 and then we’ll get to flowering!! Right now, I have the XS2000 at the recommended veg height of 20” (16”-20”) and set at 90% til I know if they can handle that power, then I’ll up it to 100%. An inch or 2 of stretch wouldn’t be a bad thing. If you made it all the way to the bottom of this, I appreciate it. Happy Growing 🌱

Hello Growers. This week has gone pretty well, maybe a bit slow but can’t complain too much. After watering earlier in the week I checked runoff and noticed super high ppms, so I flushed to 700 ppm which thoroughly saturated the medium which was less than ideal. I’ve been working on keeping vpd perfect to help the girls process some of that water. I had some purpling and yellowing which turned me onto this problem in the first place. The purpling is going away and and the plants are nice and green. Just doing some LST to open them up. As far as the Vipar Spectra XS2000 is concerned, man that thing is powerful. I have raised it up to 36” and lowered the power to 75%. It is supposed to veg a 4x3 space which I don’t have yet. It’s causing very tight 1 cm intermodal space so I’m going to lower the power a touch more, once I see them starting to dry up and take off I’ll turn it up. The light is super intense on the eyes and on the small plants at 100%. It’s gonna flower like a boss. 🤞🤞 I have gone ahead and bought method seven glasses with the FX lens for full spectrum lights. So far everything is going just fine, stay tuned to see how it goes. Happy Growing 🌱 #viparspectra #xs2000

Hey Growers. Looking for some advice. Would you suggest flowering next week-10 days with 7 big tops/plant or top and veg 1-2 weeks having 14/plant and maybe Scrog. This will be in my 2x4x5 with the XS2000. Thanks in advance for the help. Happy Growing 🌱

Personally, I'm a Scrog noob. That being said, from what I'm seeing here,I think it would make sense to top again and let it grow 1.5 -2 more weeks. Or even just doing LST for a few more weeks. More specifically, I'd say, do another topping in a couple days, and a trim of bottom growth you don't think you'll want. After that I'd last let it grow 1 more week with no trimming or anything and then flip to flower at the end of the week, with maybe a final trim depending on how you're feeling/ how bushy it gets. I hope that helps! Cheers!

Hi Growers, This week I have noticed the growth starting to increase from last weeks transplant and media flush. It took essentially the whole week for everything to dry out which kinda sucked but it’s 100% better than 2000 ppm runoff. (Why it was 2000 ppm I have no idea!?!?) I did a bunch of LST, light defoliation on any leaves that were blocking and strategically left some blocking fans to make the branches shoot out further. I did not top yet as I figured the LST would give me more tops and only being in a 3 gal pot, 7 instead of 14 main tops may be better. I may micro top later once the leading branches have filled 3/4 of the tent. The XS2000 is sitting at 30” at 80% right now til I get a bit more plant surface area in the tent. I’m just keeping an eye out for yellowing or light bleaching and adjusting accordingly. So far no complaints to speak of. I am attempting to keep the VPD around the 1.0 mark as best I can. I have a heater in the room with a sensor and shut off to keep the min temp at 73 F which has been a blessing for all the tents. It will be very beneficial once flipped to 12/12, whenever that happens. This strain and pheno is stacked, but with that come a lot of leaf. I can see a couple leaf strips in my future to allow that light to penetrate better. All in all a good week with good growth and one week closer to the flip. #Viparspectra #XS2000 Thanks for stopping by. I’d really appreciate a like if you have a moment and check out my other FastBuds grows I have going on. Happy Growing 🌱✌️🌱

Hi Growers. The plants are healthy and doing really well. Environment is always difficult for me in winter. It’s currently deep into the -30s causing my furnace to kick on a lot, but I’m managing to keep it in that 80 F and 60% range. They are still super stacked and hopefully she’ll stay that way through harvest. I added a Scrog net early in the week to open up the canopy. Next time I’ll probably do more plants to fill the canopy more quickly as this is a 10 wk strain and I wanted more like a 12 wk diary but whatev. The leaf is dark green so I decreased the cal pow to 1/4/gal as it’s an 10-0-0 and 230ppm of cal mag in veg is too much. This pheno is quite leafy so defo is gonna have to happen and leaf strip a couple times or it’ll be a leaf disaster. She is very funky when stemps and leaves are manipulated so I can see another carbon filter in my future with this and my FastBuds flowering at the same time. The Vipar Spectra XS2000 is right at the top of the tent to try and initiate some more stretch to fill the squares and have a full canopy or this powerful little light is gonna torch the tops. The difference in driver temps between 90 & 100% is quite noticeable, but the light intensity is too. I’m really interested to see how this light flowers!! Thanks for checking in. Happy Growing 🌱

Hi Growers. Today I am going to start flowering and flip to 12/12. I’m also going to give the Remo nutrients another go for flower. I’ve just been weaving branches, pulling leaves and waiting. Now with 3/4 of the squares filled I’m going hopefully get some stretch to finish filling it quickly and start moving up. The xs2000 is at 30” and 100% to hopefully have the tops stretch for the light but still be intense enough to run plant metabolism. Everything is running well. As I’ve said 50 times, I could use some more stretch at this point, but if they’re as stacked in flower as they are now, I could be in for some chunky nugs. This plant absolutely stinks in veg, I could have my hands full come late flower if this continues. So far everything is going well. Can’t complain. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 8 Flower Hi growers, the end of week one has arrived. The plants seem to be happy. They’re starting to shoot up, new growth has that light green color, old growth is still dark green. I fed with Remo transition feed and and added green planet rezin. I think I may have been under watering as I realized there’s way more than 20% perlite…maybe closer to 45%. I’m going to start watering every 2 days, more coco style rather than soil with a dry back like I normally do. I think that could be the reason for the slower growth in veg regardless of light height and intensity with optimum environment and vpd. I was going to weave the new growth into the open squares, but historically it has caused those tops to be shorter at the end. So if they grow tall, I’ll add another level of trellis net and fill the squares of the upper net. Until then I’m just tucking the leaves on this very leafy plant. Heavy Defo will be on day 14. She has got a stank to her already. When watered or manipulated she has this skunky sour smell that I’m already intrigued by. Still have 2 months and 1 month of cure to wait ugh…..patience 👎🏻 I am having a bit of difficulty dialing in the Vipar Spectra XS2000. It seems very powerful for my setup especially in veg, I’ll try 50% in veg next time. You can see how stacked the buds are in the pics. I’ve raised it up 6” from the top of the tent to hopefully get some stretch. It’s heat output is good at keeping my tent at 77-81 at 100%. I am very interested to see how it grows the FastBuds autos once the SLH is done. That tent will have the XS2000, FastBuds Autos grown with Gaia Green Organics. I’m thinking that will be a solid hand. 🤞 Happy Growing 🌱 #Viparspectra #XS2000

Day 14 Flower: Hey Growers. This week has gone pretty well. I am trying to dial in the Vipar Spectra XS2000 where the plants are happy and have reaching leaves. I have it set to 22-24” above the canopy and 95% and that seems to be where they’re happy for now. There are buds starting to form up and some stretch happening. This next week I will be doing a leaf strip as this pheno is super leafy, I just don’t want to stunt that upward stretch right now. They are much happier with water every other day and may need to increase to daily. As a combat to possible fungus gnats or soil born pests, I use h202 when doing my plain watering. They also seem to really like the “liquid” oxygen that is a byproduct of its use. If it’s could get another 3-4” of stacked stretch I’d be really pleased, but whatever they do is up to them. All I can do is try to make them happy and in turn they will do the same for me later. 👍🏻👍🏻 Happy Growing 🌱✌️🇺🇦

Hey Growers. So I made a dumbass mistakes…..for the last 18 days I have had my light timer set for 12 hrs 15 mins on and 11 hrs 45 off. They are looking good and budding up. I’m wondering is that close enough to 12/12 to have my day 1 flower be true for accuracy sake. Thanks

Hi Growers. Day 21 Flower So this week I decided to defoliate as they are super leafy. I took that pile from each plant. I also took off any branches that I thought would be under the trellis. It’s being pushed up so it’s hard to tell. They are pretty happy regardless. The leaves I left are already quite big after 3 days. I did 2 hydrogen peroxide flushes around the defoliation to combat any possible pests and nutes weren’t gonna help in a slightly stressed state and they won’t hate some extra oxygen to the roots. I let them dry for 3 days and fed today. The Vipar Spectra XS2000 is growing these plants nicely, heating the tent a prefect amount. It’s so powerful in my 2x4, I’d love to see it in a 3x3. They’re happy with it up at 22-24” until I know they’ve stopped stretching. Pretty easy week. Just trying to keep them happy and growing big. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 28 Flower Hey Growers. So it’s day 28 of flower, things are going well. Buds are getting bigger. I have notice a bit of mag deficiency and I decided to treat that with Epsom and a suitable ph for its uptake. I’ve only removed leaves that’s couldn’t be tamed, 1-2/plant each day max. The canopy is pretty packed which I’m not 100% thrilled about as these lower branches have grown up….I never lollipop right 🤦‍♂️🏻 Also I’m gonna try more plants, manifolded and see if that is more what I’m after structure wise. The smell is of skunk and over ripe lemon 🍋 so far, we’ll see how it goes. I’m just watering every 1-2 days in FFW cycle. Honestly I’m not a fan of Manual water hydro. It’s too time consuming and wastes too much nutrient. I’d rather do Dwc or stick with my soil. I’m going for less work, not more. Thanks for checking in. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 35 Flower Hey Growers. Things are going well here, other than the delicious funk that is emanating from my house. The carbon filter is not able to keep up with these beauties and the FastBuds flowering at the same time. It’s also about 5 years old so…..time for a new one. It also doesn’t help that the 4 ft of snow around the house is melting and I have to have the grow room door open for the sump line, but whatever. These girls are just cruising along. I watered with 950 ppm and 1650 was the runoff. I’m noticing a bit of tip burn but I hear that normalish for full spectrum leds. They make the plants draw extra mag, seems like the Epsom is helping with that. I’m getting to a point where I may need to water twice a day to achieve denser quality buds, the next couple weeks will dictate that. Hand watering hydro is a terrible idea!!!!!!!!!! Too late to turn back. I am running the Vipar Spectra XS2000 at the recommended 16” at 100%. I’m also alternating from the right to left side of the tent each day like a poor man’s light mover. I’m noticing leaf edge curl (tacoing) but it’s nothing major and they pointing upwards. They seem happy. All in all I’m happy with how it’s going, just gonna keep it on cruise control and tuck or remove leaves causing problems. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 42 Flower Hey Growers. It’s been a pretty easy week. Im just watering and feeding away. I’ve slowly worked the Vipar Spectra XS2000 down to 16 inches at 100%. Im moving the light back and forth every day from the right to left of the tent and the plants really seem to like it. They have a scent of over ripe lemon. A kind of sweet lemon skunky earthy aroma. The scent is uncontainable when the canopy is manipulated and they are covered in wet sticky terps and trichomes. We are essentially just on autopilot for the time being, just hoping they are able to bulk up some more in the coming weeks. I am expecting to be at this for at least another month as this is a 10 week strain according to GHS. So far so good. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. Happy Growing 🤞🏻🌱🍋

Day 49 Flower Hey Growers. I did a flush last week to get my runoff closer to 1050. I’m not sure why this happens that I get tip burn doing FFW. Maybe I start ramping up flower nutes too much too quickly. I have tip burn on my Blue Dream too. I’ve gotta come up with a solution as it buggers everything up. Flushing and Dealing with tip burn instead of packing on size. This is a 10 wk strain so I’m not as concerned cuz there’s lots of time and I think I got ahead of it. The nugs are smaller, marble to golf ball sized but hard as a rock already. The smell is of over ripe lemon when it get that sweet and Hazey earthy woody characteristic. I’m going to feed 2 more weeks and try the Advanced Nutrient Overdrive that I have kicking around. Then flush heavy for 1 ish weeks and hopefully get a nice fade. The Vipar spectra XS2000 is doing a great job, it has me wondering if I could use it to flower a 4x4 of autos. Its super strong. My poor man’s light mover has the plants getting a ton of light every other day with a nice rest in between. There is no light burn or yellowing, a tiny bit of leaf edge curl that goes away during its rest day. I am very happy with this light and know it’ll blow up whatever I run in here next. Day 56 flower Well, to be totally honest I’m not seeing a crazy amount of change. I am smelling and feeling a difference tho. I’ve decreased watering to allow for a bit of dry back. The trichomes are super sticky and release a pungent ripe lemon and earthy aroma. The buds are smaller, but hard hard right from the outside, like golf balls and marbles. They are quite similar to my Durban buds. Gonna have to watch the humidity. I started raising the Vipar spectra XS2000 just a bit each day as I’m noticing more leaf cupping. So just an attempt to decrease stress in this later phase. The light is still penetrating through the canopy well. I think this will be my last week of feeding then I’ll flush for 2 weeks get 3-4 good flushed and watch them fade. I’ve never grown this strain so I’m just along for the ride. The leaves are still very green other than the tips 🤦‍♂️🏻So I’m thinking there’s still a lot of available nutes in the leaves. Time will tell. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 63 Flower Well we’re coming to the end of the grow cycle. These plants are looking great. They’re starting to get a bit of purpling on the leaves and trichomes are clouding up. I flushed with 7 gallons of plain water with typhoon cleanse. It’s stripped about 300 ppm per gallon, got my runoff down to 110, and probably do an RO flush if I need to push it longer. I am very happy with the stank, quality, density and trichome coverage on these buds. The smell is a ripe sweet lemon with and earthy hazy musk. Could use more lemon but I’m not going to complain. My house is rank and can be smelled outside even with the carbon filter going 24/7. I’m super excited to see how the effect is on this strain. It’s one of my all time favorites and I’m pumped that it has turned out to be quality!!! Happy Growing 🌱

Day 71 Flower Well we made it. These Green House Seeds Super Lemon Haze are done under the sun. 💡The Vipar Spectra XS2000 did an awesome job!! Thorough review in the harvest entry. Overall, Its a great light. I am pumped to use it for my next round. I’ll be growing Fast Buds Autos, under the Vipar Spectra XS2000 with Gaia Green Organics. We’ll see how that goes!! These plants did awesome. Their final shape was not my intended plan but wtf, she’s gonna do her. I am very happy with the quality of the buds, small but super hard. Any bigger and I may have had a bud rot potential. They smell A LOT. More of a sweet over ripe lemon, but also a little sour and a blast of earthy sandalwood hazey musk. Let’s put it this way. Their mother is alive and well in the mother tent. I have zero complaints. This will run perfectly with my 10 week Cali Kush 20:1 cbd photo. Just have to see how the effect is. They will be harvested after a couple days of cool and dark. Happy Growing 🌱
