I kept the lights on 24/0 to keep the tent warmer. Yesterday I set the timer to 18/6. Watered for the 1st time Day 3 - 8 oz non-PH'd water (7-7.5) I plan to water tomorrow with an EWC tea I am brewing to get the microbes going. Thanks for stopping by! 🚀🚀 🚀🚀

So I haven't managed to kill her yet. I'm going to start keeping track of days, ignoring germination for sanity's sake. Day 8 - Fed an EWC tea - 1 cup per gallon Earth worm castings and 1 pour or 2 of molasses. Fed 8 oz of tea with 24 ounces of water. (about 8-9% of substrate) Day 12 - Watered 20 oz (about 5-6% of substrate) Day 13 - Added soil to the top and misted soil I added another light a couple days ago and I did a noob move and put the light a little too close and pissed her off for a day or 2. I was only using a 65 watt light and added a 135watt LED and put it at 22-24". I should have started a few inches higher. I think it shocked her a little. I got the new AC infinity 67 controller with bluetooth for this tent. Really easy to keep track of the environment, as long as I keep the humidifier filled 😆. Early in the week she was a little under watered. She was starting to show symptoms in my pics last week, but being my 1st soil grow I didn't recognize it. She got pretty sad, but perked up with some water. I need to water today, so I will hit her with 20-24 ounces. My soil says it has enough food for 30 days for a 5 gallon, I am using a 3. I will probably have to add some amendments to the top next week to get ready for flowering and the stretch. Maybe an EWC tea.. we will see. I am rolling the dice and not PH'ing my water. It is 7.0-7.5, but is only 30-40 PPM, so it shouldn't mess with the soil PH too much. Growers claim you HAVE to PH in organics, others say you don't. Probably has to do with the water and soil. I should find out soon enough if I have to PH my water. Day 15 - Watered 20-22oz. Day 18 - Watered 16 oz in the morning. Day 21 - Watered 20-22 oz Thanks for stopping by!! 🚀 🚀🚀

Tips are a little burnt, but I think that was me slightly underwatering causing some problems. Top dressed some Stonington Blend plant food. I did 1/2 of their recommendation. Day 23 - Watered 24 oz morning. 30ml (1/8 cup) stonington plant food and 2.5ml squid concentrate. Day 25 - Watered 32 ounces at night. PH and 2.5ml hydroguard Day 27 - Watered 32 ounces at night. PH and 2.5ml hydroguard. Added more straw mulch Have a good week 🚀 🚀🚀

Moving along very well. I'm trying to finish this grow with 0 bottle nutrients except for some beneficials. Watering about 10% of the container size every 36 hours. She has some burnt tips, but otherwise looks pretty good. I gave her some liquid karma for some extra kelp + a bunch of extra goodies beneficial for the plant. I still have her under the 135W Blue spectrum quantum board. On paper the blue spec is supposed to be shorter and denser buds compared to the R-spec lights for flowering, but not sure how much it will actually effect my grow. Planning on this being my auto/veggie tent. I have a few pepper plants popping. Day 29 - Watered 40 ounces. PH 6.7. Day 31 - Watered about 40 oz PH 6.5. hydroguard before lights out. Day 32 - Watered 45 oz PH, 2.5ml karma and hydroguard at night. Day 34 - Watered 40 oz PH'd afternoon. Have a good week 🚀 🚀🚀

This tent is filling up fast. I need to buy some wire shelving to stack the veggies. She is looking a bit burnt, but doesn't seem to be too serious. I thought it could be light stress, since autos are finicky sometimes, so I moved it from directly under the light and the new growth doesn't look as bad. Maybe it was the liquid karma, the top feed, or the soil is just a little too hot for this auto. I think I need to add more coco/perlite next time. I am pretty sure I have only 10-15% in this mix. Even though she looked burnt, I decided to throw on some Fish Bone Meal flower feed. I did 1/4 the recommendation. We will see next week if I was wrong if the plant looks like shit. I'm trying to water it a little less per watering so I can water every 24 hours rather than 36.. it fits my schedule better. Day 36 - Added 1/8 cup (2 tbspn) of flower food, bud and bloom, top dressed and water 35-40 oz. Day 38 - Watered 35 oz. Day 39 - Watered at night. 30-35 oz. Day 40 - Watered at night. 25 ounces. A day early this week, she is close to 50-52 days since she broke the starter plug. A shot of the peppers too! This tent will soon be my veggie tent for the spring/summer. Week 8 finishing up tomorrow. 2-3 more weeks left. I'll start looking at the trichomes around Day 70, planning to harvest this plant Day 75 +/- a few days. Getting some real nice grape smells. Watering 30-45 oz every 24-36 hours. *Added a pic with the Peppers transplanted. They look a little sad, but now I have room to give them some TLC. There are 2 snapdragons in a 3 gallon also. Today is around Day 63. Planning on another 10-14 days. She is close but I am trying to time the harvest with my DWC tent. The DWC tent seems closer to 14 days until finished. Maybe I make a small dry area for this auto. I will figure it out. Still only water. Every 24-36 hours about 35-45 oz. Peppers and my Snapdragons are moving along. I'm not sure how they are going to turn out, but they look ok and this is a test run before I try my hand at outdoor gardening. Have a good week ! 🚀🚀🚀

Getting real close. This will be my last update before the harvest. I might throw some trichome pics in a couple days. Harvesting in probably 4-5 days. I'm patting myself on the back today 😁. I didn't think I would be able to finish my 1st soil grow successfully, but this plant is looking good. A little small. as I think I stunted it by underwatering a little early. Stonington Blend all the way! Watering only water still every 36 hours about 40 oz. This plant is getting some nice colors. I tried to keep it simple for my 1st soil run. At first I was PH'ing my water and tried an EWC tea, but later I stopped doing all of this and used water only plus some liquid karma a couple times to get some sugars, b-vitamins and all the other goodies in the karma. I was watering about every 2 days, sometimes I would have to water every day. I think I like DWC better as it has less opportunities for human error. In soil I HAVE to water every day or two. An automated watering system will help, but plants drink at different rates.... I guess that's a reason why people go coco because it takes the difficulty/risk out of messing up the watering. Overall, I am extremely happy with that outcome. I was worried I wasn't going to make it through my 1st soil grow, but I did it. I would highly recommend the Coast of Maine Stonington blend. Great quality product, expensive, but definitely a great base soil. Grow Stats: Harvested 75 days since pop from starter plug 7 day dry at 65-74f 53-60% humidity 52 grams 135w QB blue spec Thanks for following along 🚀🚀🚀
