She has shot up more than the images say this week but I have topped the medium up in the pot so growth appears slow.
I'm hoping on some more explosive growth this week once the rootsystem is fully developed.
There has been a nice bit of growth this week, the older leaves look like I probably sprayed them with water that had take root in it (I didn't mean to spray the plants themselves)
She has been fed about 500ml water with take root through the week.
Hoping to start LST by the end of the week.
Really nice growth going on this week, I started to LST half way through the week and she's really loving it, even at this early stage there is loads of new growth indicating there will be multiple bud sites, last time I grew this strain with very little LST and had 8 nice colas, I think with this girl that number will easily be doubled.
I started the seed near the side of the pot to try a new technique with training instead of going from the middle, this way I can train the lady to span the entire pots length and width, hopefully promoting additional growth, so far it seems to be paying off.
I plan to start veg nutes and top max this week although she shouldn't need any water or food for another few days yet.
Another strong week of growth from this girl, I have noticed some mutated leaves which is resulting in additional potential flower sites and the plant seems to have topped itself which is nice for me.
I've continued to LST mainly bending the fan leaves back but also tied down 2 of the lower growth sites that were bigger than the rest. I'm hoping for another good week of growth before she starts flowering.
I've started a very low dose of veg nutes this week and not noticed any burning or issues so after the next water I'll up the nutrients to double what was previously used, the soil had enough until now.
I have had a problem with fungus gnats which might be the reason behind the small hole in one of the fan leaves but that might be something else and could be resultant of the bad spraying in the first weeks of her life, the gnats however appear to be dying off since applying diatomaceous Earth to the pots.
While it's been a good week of growth this girl looks like she has been overwatered, however I think its down to some N tox so have cut back to plain water to see if it resolves itself, if not ill look at other solutions.
I've untied her today to allow a good stretch as she is just starting to pre flower.
Not a good week for this girl, I could see early on in the week something was wrong and tried multiple fixes as the symptoms of every possible deficiency, overwatering, underwatering, light burn etc appeared all at once and rapidly.
I tried a few things to fix it but she just kept getting worse at this point I feared root rot, i thiught that was then end, so i emptied her out of the pot she was in. There were ple ty if healthy shoot showing so i dug a little deeper, turns out the soil had compacted so much it was strangling the poor girl, I made a decision I usually wouldn't with an autoflower and repotted her with some biobizz all mix about 2 days ago, today she is showing signs of recovery.. I know the quality and yield (if any) will be impacted but I feel I have to carry on now and either watch her die or watch her somehow flower.
I'm glad I didn't give up on this girl, last week and the week before she was done for but she's bounced back nicely. Although she will probably go longer than planned and yield less I'm super impressed that she pulled through and is recovering nicely.
Another good week for this lady, she's currently stretching and is looking miles better than the last 2 updates, again I'm not expecting a glorious yield this time due to previous issues but it looks like she might produce an ounce at least. I'll be keeping an eye in her growth and re introduce bloom nutes when she stops stretching.
She's stopped growing now so time to concentrate on the flowers getting juicy. I've started a proper feed of bloom nutes but she still has 4 - 6 weeks left easily.
Not a great week for growth, a slight bit of fattening of the buds but very little. I've had an issue with heat but hopefully have a way to combat that on the cheap. We will see how she goes but I'm not hopeful of much at the minute.
Very little to report again this week, she seems stuck, not getting any bigger, the flowers are not getting fatter and no new growth is really evident. I'll give her until my big girl gets chopped in 4 weeks or so and see if there is any improvement or if I should toss and cut my losses.
Well she appears to be starting to fatten up slightly, it's either that or I'm just overly hopeful that she will recover and do something.
I've been monitoring all week and she is starting to get frosty and has some swelling calyx with new growth, again I'm not hopeful of much but even a couple of joints would be more that I expected 2 weeks ago.
She looks like she's finally starting to take off and fatten up, quite a lot of new pistils are showing with a little bit of density when I squeeze the buds, it's difficult to see the trichomes at present but hopefully shebdoes fatten and I can see them to judge ripeness.
Another great week, it was a good idea to keep persevering with her as she is fattening up really well now, lots of new growth happening and she's starting to smell really nice.
This girl shows it is possible to save and transplant an auto that's already started to flower.
Fantastic growth this week, really fattened up nicely and smells pungent. I've had to keep adjusting the ties to allow airflow and light to the lowers that haven't been trimmed off.
From the looks of the trichs she has another two weeks to go so I'll be reducing the nutrients from here and then the final 2 feeds will be water only, not to flush but to finish.
The girl that keeps impressing, really looking good now, I'm slightly concerned she may be foxtailing but I'll keep an eye on that.
Some buds are showing a good mix of Amber to milky but some are showing mainly clear (on the possible foxtail growth)
She went a fair way longer than expected due mainly to the compacted soil and then some nute burn for good measure.
I chopped early as she started to foxtail and I was able to see a lot of Amber on the older buds, she's currently drying before the cure.
@Cyrusdavirus, thanks, this girls a week or two behind due to the soil issues I encountered, the last one of this strain reminded me of cheese that I've not smoked for over 10 years, really nice clean smoke and great genetics. Good luck with your grow.
@Mancdad, yah I have never did that really unless I was trying to stay below the neighbours fence. .way back .. I top them then tie down each top after a few weeks .
Your gna have a plant that lays flat and fails in flower maybe .. uoul have to tie something to it and tie it up .
That sideways effect is really probabaly just gna cause future issues and give no benefits .. youl have to continue to tie it down weekly to something orbits just gna point back up ..
if you do keep it sideways it's whole array of. Issues it def won't stand up on its own sideways once it's full weight
just top it tie down and leave it ..
I've seen a qp almost half lb from an auto .. 20 or 24 hr light does best as well
@@Jhindlehydro, there's nothing wrong starting light stress at this point or even earlier, this girl has taken it like a trooper and from experience she likes to be trained, might as well start early.
is funny because i had some auto from bsf that had the same issue and died.
With your diary i am starting to think that it was the same problem with compact soil that i had.
Nice diary by the way!! I was looking for some green crack results because i got myself a few seeds 😁
Excelent work with your grow, looks beautiful! keep it up 🤟🏽🤟🏽
@RoyceWeedLand, I think I made a mistake keeping her at times due to the issues she's had (nute burn, heat stress, light stress, the early soil issues leading to all the above), but jn reality I'm well happy that she keeps living and the wife is sick of me talking about how well Clarke is doing these days 😀
@gottagrowsometime, thanks for taking the time 👍 she actually seems to be fattening up and starting to smell so she might even limp past the finish line.
@XII_XII_EarlyRaver, yep, made a cheap solution with a cool box some ducting and a few ice packs, I can unhook it when the weather cools and put it back jn place when it warms up again, no extra electric or expensive AC units 😀
