Soaked the seed for 12 hours in a solution of DN 0.5 ml + 5 ml H2O2 per 200 ml of water, and then placed it in cotton pads.
06.02.2022
The seed turned out to be quite cheerful, and when I come home from work in the evening, I already found the root and urgently prepared the coco.
Good day, friends 0/
It seems that the long grow has just ended and it's time to rest, but no, the desire to grow something new is stronger.
Now I will turn 180 degrees and evaluate the method of growing 12/12, with a minimum of effort and time, the variety was selected taking into account all wishes - a short flowering period, fleshy buds, hybrid.
Well, let's go!
06.02.2022
The seed turned out to be quite cheerful, and when I came home from work in the evening, I already found the root and urgently prepared the coconut.
~ 7 liters of coconut and 2 liters of perlite were taken, then 1 liter of "charging" was poured in (1.0 L water (150 ppm) + 20 ml (Grow 10 A + 10 B) + 5 ml CalMag + 2 ml Voodoo) and 200 ml of ordinary water was poured into the seed landing site + Great White.
07.02.2022
Usually the waiting period is 2-3 days, but the Gorilla immediately showed that she is alive and ready to grow. The pace is pleasing.
08.02.2022
Standard heavy lifting at the start. We will count the day 0.5
09.02.2022 Day 1
This will be the first day, although the shell is still hanging on the cotyledon. Now I'll moisten it with water several times and it should fly away by itself. If suddenly not, then the scheme has already been worked out - two needles from the syringe, crocheted at the end, are waiting in the wings.
I forgot to add - in this race I will try to keep Far Red active all day long, I will see how it goes by stretching.
11.02.2022 Day 3
First watering - 1.5 L+ 3 ml Voodoo + 3 ml DN. Added coconut to the pot
14.02.2022 Day 6
watering - 1.5 L+ 3 ml Voodoo + 3 ml DN
In general, everything is going according to plan, the leaves are twisting a little, perhaps due to the low pH in the drainage. I will stop measuring pH, it will be calmer :D
For the plant looks quite healthy and continues to develop quite standardly. And if everything is in order, there is nothing to twitch 👌
Now I will begin to reduce the time between watering, all according to the usual scheme, with a quick transition to a stable daily watering.
Time flies by imperceptibly, so I myself am surprised at the speed of the plant's development. It seems like I started LST not so long ago, and already today I am tying again, this time the grown shoots to fill the entire area of the pot. I also rewound the top - now the trunk grows in the shape of the letter "U".
It is not possible to go out for daily watering yet, the work schedule interferes. Okay, I'll water it every 2 days.
In terms of nutrients, another stimulator for the root system has been added - Canna Rhizotonic. Since I got it as a gift, I will give the Gorilla everything that is in stock. Although the roots already feel fine, judging by how they periodically break through to the surface.
By growth, I can say that autoflowering at this time was more massive (this is understandable, 6 hours of advantage in a light day), but the transition to flowering should be longer for photoflowering, and judging by the ppm in drainage, the Gorilla does not think to accelerate very much yet
It is already felt that the plant will be very odorous - if you touch the leaves, then the smell of evil classics with an admixture of some chemistry remains on your fingers, so far no sweets.😄
The development of plant mass is in full swing, I continue LST. I bend the top according to the shape of the pot, I push the shoots apart.
Today the Gorilla showed female signs ♀️ - there are no surprises here.
Now the plant itself regulates the humidity in the growbox, a humidifier is not needed.
It is the 5th week of the growing season, it may already be the pre-flowering, but it is not yet clear.
In any case, we can confidently say that the appetite has increased, the plant is asking for more and more nutrients.
I spent the last LST - tied up the shoots, parted the leaves as far as possible, just to give more light to the young shoots that began to actively develop. Next, I will only tie up individual branches.
In general, the vegetation is easy - there are no spots on the leaves, the appetite is normal, LST is given to the plant easily.
The first photo immediately after LST, the rest after 3 hours - the Gorilla managed to straighten the tops a little during this period of time.
We are growing very steadily🌿 No more LST is needed, everything is overgrown. In height, the shoots are all more or less on a par, then there will be the same-sized rocket buds.
According to the development of buds, I would say that this is a pre-bloom. New stigmas keep appearing and appearing
Almost a week has passed since the last report, the process is in full swing - the dynamics can be seen in the photo.
I thought that blooming had started and switched the power supply to Bloom. The bud igniter has disappeared somewhere (:C), so this time I'll start right away with the Big Bud. The growth rate has increased, and now I raise the lamp by 3-4 cm every day. The plant turns out to be compact. With the exception of two brazen shoots that unexpectedly broke out of the total mass of foliage, but this time the cultivation takes place in the "relaxation" mode, so let them grow as they are, in my opinion, not a critical situation.
The gorilla is blooming, but I will not say that it smells - if you just touch the leaves, only the scent of evil classics remains on your fingers. Now there are more and more trichomes, the smell should soon change to a characteristic of a certain strain (where are my candies?!)
As a result, I couldn't stand it and performed an HST (fracture) to correct the situation. The broken shoots after the fracture again rose above the others, but not as high as they were before.
I carried out the first defoliation - everything according to the rules, for the fastest recovery, I turned down the light a little and put the fan from the second speed to the first (to increase humidity).
I treat the Gorilla as an autoflowering strain - in 3 weeks another haircut and that's enough
Over the past few days, the Gorilla has successfully grown new leaves and continued to produce more and more trichomes. Now I am satisfied - if you touch the leaf, a citrus-berry aroma remains on your fingers, really similar to the smell of sweets, after which one of his parents is named, uhh how delicious 😋
The plant came out squat this time, after all the LST and HST procedures, the crown looks quite horizontal, my inner perfectionist is satisfied 😇
The gorilla is overgrown with leaves again, and this time many leaves are already shrouded in a white veil of trichomes. I'm planning a second and last haircut in a week.
When touched on the fingers, a fruit and berry candy flavor remains in the first seconds, after a few seconds it takes on more aggressive vegetable shades. There is a lot of resin and it is sticky, the genetics of Glue justifies its name.
Two months have passed and the dynamics of development for this period is very pleasing, now I wonder how much inflorescences that have already begun to grow in width will swell.
The week was not easy, a couple of times I had to ask another person to water instead of me, in general, I didn't spend much time on the plant, but it grows and grows.
Now the sweet citrus-berry aroma remains not only on the hands, but also comes out when opened from the tent, the sweetness resembles a Gorilla Cookies, but it had rather a hint of baking, and Zkittlez clearly has a bias in fruit-berries.
Today was the second and last haircut. A lot of leaves were cut off and the outlines of the "rockets" immediately became visible, as it looks very tempting to me. At the same time, the appearance suggests that the inflorescences will still swell and swell.
Now the bush looks like a stand with lollipops - the smell and shape correspond 🍭
Every day the ripening buds are becoming more and more attractive. At the same time, the type of plant indicates that it still has to ripen and ripen.
After pruning the shading foliage, some popcorn buds have grown and in the end I plan to collect from them not popcorn, but a small but full-fledged bud (it is clear that the popcorn will remain at the bottom anyway, but here we are talking about small shoots)
In general, while the Gorilla continues to intrigue me with the further development of events. And I would like to add that after Grinspoon, just a jet approach comes out (or after changing my place of work, time flies unnoticed for me?). In any case, at this stage of development, I am quite satisfied
And another week has passed, there are no global changes, except that I watered according to the principle "the liquid has arrived and it's already good"
The Gorilla is growing buds and there is a sugary candy smell in the grow tent. Yes, this is the smell of Skittles candies, but not with pronounced notes of citrus or berries like individual candies, but it looks more like pouring the whole pack into your mouth at a time - all the flavors are mixed together :D
I'm feeding Big Bud for now, I thought about when I would need to start feeding the Overdrive and checked the trichomes. Judging by the macro image of the tops, it's too early to apply Overdrive, there is a transition from transparent to cloudy on the upper parts of the buds, and transparent in the middle. The goal is to harvest about 90% of the cloudy and 10% of the amber tops and the milky lowest parts.
And now another week has passed, and it seems that the matter is moving towards the end.
The gorilla is all very frosty from the trichomes, the sweetness of the smell has reached its peak, and it's just a thrill to sit and inhale the fruit and berry aroma
🍬🍇 during evening watering. Inflorescences continue to swell, and stigmas wither.
In recent days, I have periodically briefly examined the trichomes on individual inflorescences, today there was a more thorough examination, which gave the following picture (from different parts of the plant):
Most of the trichomes are milky in color, there are transparent ones in the depths of the bush, and there are already a lot of amber trichomes on individual inflorescences (sometimes adjacent to transparent ones, which is a bit strange)
Visually, the lower part also looks quite mature.
It was decided to start giving Overdrive from today, with the intention of organizing a harvest closer to the end of May.
The train named "Gorilla Zkittlez" is gaining full momentum on the way to harvest. In addition to the obvious swelling of the inflorescences, their color began to change towards a slightly purple shade, taking into account the complete trichomes cover (frosty inflorescences) and the fruit and berry smell, the plant is simply the quintessence of seductiveness 😋
When I switched to Overdrive, there was a thought that I might have switched too late. But no, the trichomes ripen just completely with the deadlines I have set. This means there are exactly two weeks left before the harvest.
The mood is good today, perhaps I'll cut the lowest bud for a trial smoking
I cut off the lowest and smallest bud on Saturday, quickly drying it in the microwave. In total, it turned out to be half a bowl of bong (0.2 g) (but for a full understanding of the impact force, I need a couple of these).
Either there is a lot of chlorophyll so far, or the plant itself is very resinous, but I coughed for a long time.
The effect is mental relaxation, during which the whole environment seems perfect and you get a buzz from every moment + a slightly relaxed body.
But by the force of the impact, I feel that what I have experienced is not the limit, and the Gorilla has a more deadly potential than the sensations I received.
So we are waiting for harvest and there will already be a full-fledged detailed smoke report
Well, friends, the last week has passed, and with it the current cycle.
There was no time flushing, and in general it's not scary, I watered Flawless finish once, and there will already be drying with fermentation, especially in the last week I fed the plant moderately enough.
There is nothing particularly new to add, so it's better to have more photos before the harvest
Yes, I'm updating late, but I need more time for trimming. Wait for the latest update of the diary and the intrigue will be dispelled
05/21/2022 Day 102
Harvest
So the day came. The gorilla stood in the dark for 1.5 days, stressed and drank the rest of the liquid in the pot.
When opened, a cool sweet-fruity aroma hit the nose, everything is as planned.
It was worth pulling the plant out of the box, as several shoots under the weight of inflorescences immediately fell down. Individual shoots came out very solid in appearance and weight.
In those places where the water did not get to the surface well, mycorrhiza got out.
And besides mycorrhiza, something else has grown, and I don't even know what it is :D
One weak escape still missed and as a result there was a misunderstanding.
But the rest of the inflorescences can be divided into "tops" and "not tops", since thanks to pruning, only full-fledged dense buds remained and poured.
The central bud is power!

Weighing and summing up
It was the longest drying, while I assumed in advance that I would not have time to finish everything in time and did not want to over-dry the buds (as is usually the case).
Therefore, I threw everything to dry with just cut branches, without pruning leaves and other things.
During the trim process, I had to clean my hands and scissors several times with a heated blade, the genetics of Gorilla Glue justifies its name. As a result, several insanely fragrant resin balls, I have already tried - mmm, delicious 😋
1/3 was sent to the jar a week ago, the remains this morning and brought to the desired humidity Boveda 62%.
Everything dried up as it should be perfectly - elastic, resinous, but at the same time crumbling and burning well.
Due to the prolonged drying on the branches, all the juices have clearly gone where they need to and the buds smoke very gently, but after a puff, there is still a need for a treatment, I want to cough.
The result of this grove was 186 grams, very good for such a period and size of the plant.
The buds themselves are pebbles consisting of crystals, leaves and a wonderful fruity aroma. I estimate the density as average, although the tops are stone, but in the middle there is still a drawdown in density, this, of course, is not the aerial inflorescences of sativa, but also not the indica stone. A hybrid is a hybrid, what can I add here.
As a result, I can say that I did not regret trying to grow a photoperiod variety using the "12/12 from the start" method, it turned out quite quickly and very productive.
