Starting the week, seeing white pistils still, sticking straight out in some places, but less and less every day. Looking at the buds at this time was making me smile. Cuz I could actually see the beautiful buds now. Different colors emerging - lots of light and dark greens with a little purple mixed in. Frostiness increasing daily as well. Wasn't sure if some of the growth on the very top of some of these buds was normal or foxtailing, though. And if it was foxtailing, couldn't tell you why. Not like the leaves were showing severe heat or light burn. If it was foxtailing, it would have been the only sign of stress up to then. Would be something to monitor. Was thinking that this would very likely be the last week I would feed the girl before a week of flush and then harvest. Still hadn't checked trichs, but on this strain, you could almost see them with the naked eye. And quite frankly, I wanted yield from this grow. I was willing to be patient to get it. Was still not getting the vibe that she was close to being finished, but I also got the vibe that waiting 3 weeks might be too long. On Day 87, she started drinking less feed, as measured by the runoff I was collecting. This, and the ways the buds were looking now led me to conclude that day that Day 98 would very likely be harvest day. My prior grow, this drinking-less signal was given to me a handful of days before I started flush, and I was happy with those results, so things were lining up well for this grow as well, maybe? Though there were still white pistils sticking out around the plant on Day 87, the vast majority of pistils around the plant were red now and curly but sticking out. I figured that given 11 or so days, this would turn into tight curly orange pistils mostly around some big assed buds, with some curly non-tight red and some very very few white/curly? That would be good timing in my mind. But then came that picture you see above for Day 91. Didn't look like a finished bud to me. If she was in the harvest window, it was very early in the harvest window. You can see that the buds were still rather thin with substance, white hairs around, red hairs pointing out. I changed my mind about starting the flush at the end of this week. I concluded feeding should continue one more week. Then the flush for 6 days. And then harvest. Day 104 was the new target date.
