Week 3 of veg; Day 22 (03/27/2022) Watered today, though I probably could have waited another day to do so; though I don't like to stretch beyond 4 days between watering in general. Plants are coming along, the first set of leaves that were burnt are now just peaking out from under the fresh new growth that's pretty happy. I did hit them with a pretty strong upper 300umol light since moved to the tent in hopes of keeping the nodes tight (expecting a big stretch). and I can see we're forming the 4th node now. I backed off the light to be more aligned with suggested 3rd week of flower DLI, so we're closer to 345umol now. That should give some space between nodes. Once we hit 6, I'm cutting back to 3 and then we'll do a sort-of mainline. The HLG's are pretty solid, so I only have 2 of 3 running in the tent right now and I'm manipulating light strength by raising and lowering rather than dimming. Today's watering included a half a teaspoon of recharge and another teaspoon of molasses...not for plant health but for mycos health. Next water will be a feed and I'll start ramping up the Maxigro levels...and continue with some epsom salts for magnesium. Day 26 (3/31/2022): Feed day! Plants got 5g per gallon of MaxiGro, 1g per gallon epsom salts, and another teaspoon of molasses to feed the mycosphere. Overall EC is right around 1.3 or so. This is a little more than twice the last feed, but I feel like the plants can handle it. Checked in morning of 4/1/2022 to find that there's no burning yet and usually they express that within 12 hours of feeding, so so far so good. Plants this week have started to show outward growth rather than remaining the same size and concentrating on root growth. The soil mycos is STRONG with white velvety fuzz on any damp soil surfaces. We're starting on the 4th node. Though the plants look pretty compact on one stem, the 'suckers' will become prominent this week. The single and a few of the 3-lobed leaves that suffered from light burn and/or maybe underfeeding in the transition to the tent & bright lights have pretty much died away, but all other growth is nicely green and appears happy. New grow setup move: got an Inkbird ITC-308 WIFI on Wednesday. Right now it's controlling a space heater outside the tent to raise the intake air. After 3 grows with no additional heating, I've decided that my 'dark' temps which can sit down in the mid-60's is fine but slows growth/productivity. I have a small oil-filled flat panel on the way that will go in the tent (only 400w), and that will hopefully keep things a bit more even overall. In the short term, the 1000w heater outside the tent is doing a decent job and our window of temps right now is 76F-85F. Humidity is dialed into the mid 60% range to keep our VPD within a few points of 1. The plan this weekend is to transplant into 5g bags...reapply the Xtreme Gardening Mykos along the way and keep going.

What's making these lowers blotchy yellow with some 'rust' spots? Any ideas? I think it's probably a P/K issue, am I underfeeding? Blumat drip system, Promix HP, Maxibloom @3.5g per gal. Ca/Mg @ 5ml per gallon. pH @5.8-6.2.

Hey there LeastExpected, so a few things are happening right now , basically it's from an imbalance in your NPK ratio. in flower you really want something like NPK 4-8-8 , right now you're at something like 2-4-8 , so right away you can tell you're going to be missing phosphorous, so what you're seeing in terms of yellowing is actually signs of K excess as well as P-deficiency. If you can find a way to add P that would help make your ratio better, and the problem will stop spreading almost immediately. Hope this helps ! 🚀

@@JerkFlowers, Good luck with yours! So far mine are proceeding as planned. I'm going to try to keep 'em low because they'll probably stretch to fill the entire tent!

Just saw you were gonna add some Epsom salt for mag, do you feel like the mag in maxigro isn't enough?

@LeastExpectedGrower, That makes sense, thank you for the explanation and details. I look forward to seeing your ongoing grow!!

@@JerkFlowers, I've really only just started using the Maxigro...previously I was using GH Trio but moved over towards the end of my last grow. A few longtime growers have suggested .5-1g of Mg weekly wouldn't hurt and I did previously have purple stems (a known sign of deficiency). I previously use Ca/Mg, but I don't think I need extra calcium, given my water starts at ~220ppm. This grow I've now used epsom salts in quantities of .5 and 1g and haven't had any signs of mg toxicity.
