Week 2 of flower (end of transition, flower structures are starting to be more obvious). Really just coasting along here. Plants are seeing 12/12 light/dark and I have updated their PPFD to around 750, giving a DLI just north of 30 (somewhere around 31-32). Since I'm using the Blumat Tropf system, I've really only been checking in every day to see how things are looking in the tent and giving the reservoir a little pH Down every couple days to remain in the 5.8 to 6.2 range. The system seems to have provided the plants with about 4g of water since last week when I re-set the whole system. Tonight I'll drain, clean and re-fill the tank again and give the lines a quick bleed. I've kept up a quick foliar spray every few days with just Ca/Mg to keep any deficiency at bay, but I'm also adding about 4.5ml of CaliMagic per gallon to the feed. I have kept snipping out the budsites on what will be the lowers, to concentrate growth up top once it really stretches. So far neither plant have aggressively stretched but that should be hitting for the next few weeks. I do keep adjusting the ties to keep the colas under control and I think all is good. The Ca/Mg (not sure which) deficiency from the past few weeks has receded and I think there's one last leaf that's a bit chlorotic and spotted. That one leaf will be snipped in the next few days. By day 68 flowers are obviously developing. Trichomes are easily visible as well. I don't remember it happening so quickly in past grows, but then they were autos and this is a resin-heavy strain. Plants are happily drinking about .75g of water per day. I've made a measuring stick for the reservoir so I can see the day to day use of water. They seem completely happy living in 75f-86f and running between 49-55% RH. No cupping or canoeing and I feel like the Ca/Mg is in the rear view mirror.

What's making these lowers blotchy yellow with some 'rust' spots? Any ideas? I think it's probably a P/K issue, am I underfeeding? Blumat drip system, Promix HP, Maxibloom @3.5g per gal. Ca/Mg @ 5ml per gallon. pH @5.8-6.2.

Hey there LeastExpected, so a few things are happening right now , basically it's from an imbalance in your NPK ratio. in flower you really want something like NPK 4-8-8 , right now you're at something like 2-4-8 , so right away you can tell you're going to be missing phosphorous, so what you're seeing in terms of yellowing is actually signs of K excess as well as P-deficiency. If you can find a way to add P that would help make your ratio better, and the problem will stop spreading almost immediately. Hope this helps ! 🚀

@@JerkFlowers, Good luck with yours! So far mine are proceeding as planned. I'm going to try to keep 'em low because they'll probably stretch to fill the entire tent!

Just saw you were gonna add some Epsom salt for mag, do you feel like the mag in maxigro isn't enough?

@LeastExpectedGrower, That makes sense, thank you for the explanation and details. I look forward to seeing your ongoing grow!!

@@JerkFlowers, I've really only just started using the Maxigro...previously I was using GH Trio but moved over towards the end of my last grow. A few longtime growers have suggested .5-1g of Mg weekly wouldn't hurt and I did previously have purple stems (a known sign of deficiency). I previously use Ca/Mg, but I don't think I need extra calcium, given my water starts at ~220ppm. This grow I've now used epsom salts in quantities of .5 and 1g and haven't had any signs of mg toxicity.
