This little seedling sprouted quite fast in a glass of water. It’s about 10 days out from germination now. I’m adding droppers of pH balanced water to the cube morning and evening. No roots coming out of the netpot yet.
I’m planning on LST training this plant and hope to get a better yield. Using the new QB288 Version 2 from Horticulture Lighting Group.
We have roots! Baby seedling is growing rapidly. I’m using some pH stabilizing powder in my res along with the hydroguard for now. Will begin light nutes in another week or so.
She’s growing fast. Developed some CalMag issues this week but she perked up after a bit of silica and CalMagic.
Flowering has begun as of the 14th (day 18 of the grow roughly.
Roots are looking good.
The plant has officially outgrown the cabinet. I have a tent on order and will move her in as soon as it arrives.
So many bud sites. This strain continues to impress.
The plant is a beast. Having a lot of light burn issues and I dimmed the LED but it still continued. I’m out of vertical space in the tent. Trying to keep her happy until harvest.
She’s doing her best this week. I changed the light schedule to 18/4 hoping she might get a bit of a break. So far she’s still showing light burn issues. I also need to figure out a new bubbler to help the aeration as the current air stone gets covered up by the roots.
She’s a crispy critter but holding on for me. Changed lights to 12/12. I’m about a week to ten days from harvest. Might do a haircut in a few days and remove all the damaged leaves that I can before the final week of flush.
Smell is really good and I feel like she’s putting out good trichromes despite being under a strong LED. I know now for my next auto grow and I’ll be getting a different bucket system for my deep water culture.
Mistakes were made - starting with the Foxfarm ocean forest soil. This soil should only be used for established older plants. I then underfed the plant after noticing nutrient burn from the soil which caused a calmag issue.
Great strong plant though and she really did her best despite all of my mistakes. Would recommend even for a first timer. I still can’t believe the harvest I got.
You could probably start her on 1/4 nute strength now. She has great roots for a young plant. She's showing beginning deficiency on some lower leaves there. Good luck with your grow!
@BeefWellingtons,yep I had some CalMag and other deficiencies. She’s doing good now on nutes and CaLMagic. Will increase feeding this week to 100% she’s really growing fast.
That's what we like to see. Nice fast germination and growing at a steady pace. Roots will be showing very soon now 👍
Good luck with the grow, we will be watching with interest 😎
All the best
Mark..
What happened to your leaves? Mine did that last grow and wasn’t sure if it was end stage cal mag issue? It started with brown spots and became crispy, was able to get good harvest but I was thinking if it’s from ph lockout or root rot. Didn’t know because I was growing in soil.
@MaryJaneUSA,I think it was because I was underfeeding which also caused a calmag issue. After talking to a few growers that’s what we suspect. So next time I’ll feed it more as a baby and not be as worried about nutrient burn.
I also think the Foxfarm Ocean Forest soil is too nitrogen rich for seedlings so I’ve switched to Roots Original.
@OutForReal, That's an understatement mate. She actually out grew the grow space lol
I'll keep dropping in to see how this turns out 😎
Looks fun so far ✌️
All the best

I know this diary is dated nonetheless I loved your bud structure there. You can tell its fluffly and not to dense like. But it was nice :) I'm that amount has been smoked 100x over again ;) congrats all the same
Ive Just Got Over This :) Its Not CalMag problems its a late stage P deficiency looks like calcium def at first then rusty everywhere :)
100% mate ive been baffled myself for weeks but a plant can never have enough P os used in photosynthesis more light more P used
