Planted in propogator far from light. Didn't expect them to shoot up 5 cm over night.
They stretched a bit farther than I wished but once repotted it didn't make much difference.
Over all I would say it was a good week. The plants look very healthy and have been showing growth daily.
The "mould problem" seems to have not been anything after all and I was only over reacting.
I powdered the top of the soil twice with the white shark 🦈 during the week.
Added 2ml of plagron Alga grow in 2l of water in last watering to see how they react, I am pushing for healthy root growth at this stage of the plants life, so I kept feeding the bio bizz root juice and plagron pure zym with every watering.
Plants have shown constant steady growth again.
I decided that due to the healthy growth I will begin some training techniques.
I removed the lower stems on the gorilla cookies and purple lemonade in order to promote more growth on the top of the plant. The Bruce banner was Hella bushy and I didn't know what to do with it so I asked a grow question which I decided to LST and tie it down as much as I could to make sure most of the foliage received light.
I also topped the gorilla cookies and I topped the Bruce banner twice, no topping on the purple lemonade.
Lastly I LST the purple lemonade and gorilla cookies to maximize the light on the foliage.
I will be monitoring the growth and plan to attempt to top the lemonade this week if it looks like it can take it.
I will just go with the grow and see.
Plants continued to grow well and seem healthy.
I have continued swapped the biobizz power roots for AT Voodoo juice and continued to feed plagron purezyme while slowly adding more alga grow in alternate waterings.PH has increased slightly up to 7, but I'm not worried about that.
On the second day, I topped (possibly fimmed) the purple lemonade.
The purple lemonade has already started to flower and buds have just formed on the other 2 plants on last day of this week.
5th day this week I installed grow the jungles fire ant 🐜 🔥 to supplement far red and infra red light(switches on and off 15mins before and after full spectrum) I would like to also drop a note that grow the jungles mantis supplement light has also been running 2.5 hrs throughout the whole grow.
Very happy with progress and whoaaa check out the beautiful purple veins on the PL
Flowering stretch has begun, they all had little growth spurts, the purple lemonade seems a bit stunted or maybe it's at it's max height of 65 cm
I defoliated the Bruce banner and gorilla cookies from the top and bottom largest fan leaves as they covered the bud sites, the bud sites then stretched to the top so I'm hoping for multiple large colas.
Purple lemonade is fattening out ahead of the other 2.
Monitoring the leaves but so far everything looks healthy, there is a little bit of yellowing on one of the purple lemonades leaves but I have kept feeding and monitoring as it hasn't gotten worse.
Nutes have been switched around a bit to aid blooming but I am going easy on the nutes to avoid burn, and will gradually increase the dose. I am alternating between bud candy and royal sugar and fed green sensation twice this week. All other nutes have been with every watering, they keep asking for more.
Busy week for me personally, didn't have much time to take many photos.
The buds have started filling out,I've been more generous with the feeding as they showed signs that they kept wanting more.kept alternating the plagron sugar with the advanced bud candy. Fed purezyme 2 times a week with green sensation also twice a week.
I've done little bits of defoliation where I can to make sure no bud sites are covered and tied down branches to open the canopy.
No growth in length now, pl is 50 cm high with fat buds and the other 2 plants at 60cm.
What I could say doesn't look great is that the pl top leaves are canoeing and a bit brighter. I think the summer temps are not favoured by it, in hindsight I will leave purple strains for cooler times of the year, but it's still looking healthy.
Plants are looking healthy and buds are fattening up. I think the purple lemonade is almost ready, maybe last 2 weeks, I am beginning to monitor the trichomes.
I started upping the dosage of nutrients and have included Rhino skin into the feed🦏. I give green sensation every other feed and alternate between sugars. I am giving a slightly less dose of sugars on the gorilla cookies and Bruce banner. I have been feeding atami bloombastic in every feeding to the purple lemonade. while I was at my growshop I decided to buy a co2 bag and installed it this week to help with the temperature increases
Buds have been swelling up more on the gorilla cookies and Bruce banner. I have continued to feed the atami bloombastic.
The purple lemonade has begun being flushed with flawless finish from AN.
Some yellowing on bottom leaves but that's from the plants reaching the end of the life.
The temperature has been going up to 30 in the day, stressing them out somewhat, I think the CO2 has been released too fast as there is some browning of the top leaves near the bag.i cannot tell for sure, could be heat damage too. I'm not worried as I will harvest the purple lemonade next week and the other 2 in the following week or after.lets wait and see
Good luck on your first round bro. I learned soooo much from my 1st round. By asking Q and finding some really good mentors and finding sites like royalqueenseeds and the journal's on here are pretty good for learning.
Good luck brother. 🌱🌿🌷
@gottagrowsometime,
Thanks my dude, I did do a lot of reading so I am armed with knowledge 💪.
The rest is just about experimenting I guess, the community on this site is awesome though.
I will go with the grow and it will be documented here for me to improve next time round 🤜🤛
Hey there friend. Would you be alright with me offering some pointers to help? So cannabis plants LOVE heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. In veg we want to take advantage of this fact to help our plants grow along much quicker and more vigorously. In veg we can look for temps of 79-84 MAX with lights on & no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for too much temperature swing between lights on and lights off while the plant is still growing vertically up to day 20 of flower, We will cause the plant to stretch ALOT which we do not want. So in veg & early flower, Keeping our temperature gaps nice and close between lights on and off is key. Utilizing humidity in our rooms during veg will also help out a lot with more rapid growth but we must introduce it properly. In our rooms we have our temperature and humidity set-points, But when we combine those 2 it forms a third set-point which is the most important & that is called VPD, Vapor pressure deficit.
I strongly recommend every new grower or old grower who has not learned it yet, To study and understand it & implement it into your room, Logging your numbers daily.

For soil, We generally want to go for a PH of 6.1
This website does a GREAT job of illustrating it with a nice graph & very good detailed explanation for soil.

As we briefly touched on before, During veg & early flower we want our temperature gap's nice and tight to avoid stretch. Why exactly our plants stretch in response to this is a genetic trigger being activated by the environmental stress essentially telling the plant the end of the season is closer than it really is. In veg & early flower the plant is still in its first stage of development which is to grow up wide and tall so when it produces seed, It can cast them out nicely. Remember, Whether we are growing our plants for seed or bud their genetic responses do not change as they do not know any different. Once the plant has finished that first stage of growth by weeks 4-6 of flower with most strains, It is by day 20 of flower. Autoflowers you have to watch for it, But once the plant has finished this goal its new mission is to focus 100% on producing nice big flower clusters & to get very sticky so it can attract pollen to it successfully.
So once that vertical growth is finished, We actually now want to begin to expose our plants to larger temperature swings between lights on and lights off. This will help activate that genetic response and allow us to draw out the most potential from the strain utilizing the plants genetic triggers to environmental stresses at the right times. We can also take this a step further with doing light deprivation in the last 2 weeks using less light to simulate cloud cover. Very cold feed temps on the last flush is very good too. If you do not have them already, Get yourself a good PAR meter & thermal laser temp gun to monitor your plant top temperatures & optimize how much light your plants are getting. One final thing, A fully mature cannabis plant @ peak consumption in flower, Or group of plants needs to consume 3gallons of water in 24hrs to produce 1 dry pound of cannabis. This equation holds true all the way up & it can be 1 plant or 100 plants but to produce each dry pound that plant or group of plants will need to consume 3 gallons in 24hrs. That equation will be true all the way up, 6 gallons in 24hrs your plant or plants will produce 2lbs dry, and so on. A general mistake made early on by growers is not watering the plants with enough for them to yield the way they should. We are currently in the middle of producing a very comprehensive tutorial series for everybody to learn from & understand how to grow the highest level craft cannabis all on their own. Our first 2 installments are focusing on the basic fundamentals and we are using autoflowers for them before moving onto more advanced series with photoperiods. If this interests you please check out our youtube and subscribe. The first 2 episodes are out the next one is coming in a few days. If you should ever have any questions or need any help, Please feel free to follow my profile and shoot me a DM. I will gladly help you with the pull down & make sure you get the best quality harvest possible as it is the most important step of the entire process.
Happy growing friend!
