Hello grow diaries! Doing my first auto and coco grow. Thanks to Barney's Farm I can do this experiment. I'm doing it alongside a couple other outdoor grows. I just started germination. I've already mixed my coco with perlite, about a 60/40 ratio. I'm starting the plants in my little tent inside and then I'll slowly bring them outside to enjoy the sun. I'm going to name the three girls Stayci, Layci, and Mayci. I love playing with the names. Very excited to see them grow the next coming weeks. :)
07/11 - Prepped the coco with a CalMag booster and potted the seeds. I put my Calmag solution in a spray bottle and I sprayed the coco with it a bit after plating the germinated seeds.
07/13 - All seeds have sprouted. Hopefully Laycie will open up nicely, looking a little premature...
07/14 - Laycie has stunted leaf production but something is brewing..
Lacie is still progressing very slwoly while the other two have already created a set of true leaves and in the process of more! Hoping that Lacie will recover okay. I just feed them all their first round of nutrients. Starting them off with some tarantula! SO far doing okay.
Plants are doing well. I moved them outside yesterday. They are in the shade most of the day. The weather has been very hot, the plants seem to be enjoying it but I do have to keep up with the water! Laycie still seem te be growing slowly but hopefully shell start growing fast soon!
These photos are from another friend of mine, he used an old soviet lens. ;)
This week has had some changes. I put Laycie in a smaller pot, something I've wanted to grow in for a bit and she seems to have adjusted to me grabbing her out of coco and putting her in a little bucket with soil. Maycie is going strong, some leaf discoloration that I can't seem to get rid of. Lastly, Staycie may she rest in peace. I didn't know anyone who could adopt a coco plant so I had to get rid of her :/
