Plants are growing well but I was a little too aggressive with the LST and wound up splitting the main stem of Purple Canyon #2 early in the week. I zip tied the stem, but noticed the next day that it was not holding the split closed, so I decided to drill through the branches at the top of the split and sent bonsai wire through the branches to "stitch" it back together and hold it tighter than the zip tie could. I figure that this type of method works to fix split trees so it was worth a shot. The plant has looked happy through all of this stress so I have a feeling it will do fine and I will just be sure to support the branches with bamboo sticks when they start packing on weight. All plants were top dressed with Roots Organics Uprising Foundation and Bloom and were flipped to their flower schedule on Saturday.
