I only grow autos and I would never even THINK about topping them... You've got such a finite space of time in which your plant can "do it's thing" - if you stress them out as much as topping would stress them out, you're not going to have good results unless you are an EXPERT grower. The most I've done is LST (with one HST which was an accident)... Autoflowers are pre-programmed... let them do their thing in their own time... Your grow looks absolutely stunning - don't mess with success! π
thinking about moving them outdoors once the summer kicks in - anyone had experience doing this ? good or bad idea? My thinking is, I only have a 100w Mars TS1000, and its done great for the seedling and veg, but they have started preflower.
Sun is always better than artificial light! You may have to contend with more pests in an outdoor environment but this is exactly what I'm planning to do this year! I'm planning on some "travel" time for my ladies... outside as soon as the temps allow, back in the tent for the too-cool nights - until both daytime and nighttime temps are good.
Good luck!
shiptony Have been holding back a little on nutrients, as I could see they seemed to be getting to much. Have started taken them outside this week - first day 4 hours, 2nd day 6 hours, and today will give them full day in the sun, then back in tent for overnight as the temps are still get down to about 5Β° C. Plants are 27 days old now and have started a few days ago to show preflower. I have one that is bigger then the rest, and so I used some wire to just support the lower branches and stop it going so wide.

shiptony so flowers are coming along nicely, starting to get frosty now. They smell amazing, this strain is has such a pleasant sweet smell to it.
shiptony So I think I had some copper deficiency, and was reading up on it, and it seems if you have good clean water, it actually had the copper in it that the plants need, so have just water with plain water last 2 day, and it seems to be helping, new grow does not have yellowed tips, and the older leaves are not getting any worse. Going to do 2 more days of plain water only.

shiptony been inside all week, just took them out today for watering. I think they are look great and coming along nice. Also just a side note, but as you can see I having 2 in 10L airpots and 2 in 20 liter fabric bags, and I am seeing much denser and biger plants in the 20l fabric bags - so will grow all in them next time
would anyone bother trimming off the yellow fan leaves or just leave them? I have no issues with space or airflow - plus I kinda like the colours they have right now as they are getting near harvest time
shiptony slowly does it - these girls are just plugging along, enjoying the sun for now! few more weeks to go then the old chop chop

shiptony buds are getting nice and fat and juicy! I think I still got another week to go - got a lot a white but no amber trichomes yet. Lovely autum colours on the leaves now. Been pluck of most of the really yellow ones. I think I will stop with nutrients now

shiptony so just playing the waiting game now - not there just yet, maybe another week then the old chop chop. Note - the rope you can see around a few of the is just to support some of the bud sites- the were getting so heavy that they were started to sagged down a lot and not get a good amount of light.
noticed some new white pistil growth this morning - I have not seen that before on my other grows. Is this due to stress? I am so close to harvest now should I even be bothered?
It is the plant having one last desperate try to get pollinated/pregnant and is quite common with cannabis.
I would not worry about it, however I would be harvesting asap anyhow, they are plenty ripe!
shiptony ended up chopping today, I think having them out in the sun when i could for the last few weeks really helped increase over all total. I had 2 plants in 10L air pots and the gave me 274g and 246g , then I had 2 plants in 20L fabric pot, much larger yield, 536g and 687g. Super happy with end result, will come back in a week or so with dry weight!
thanks all! really enjoying this new hobby of mine! feel like and am starting to get some ideas now how to get them growing nice with out stressing to much over them :)
@@eurorack, they are getting sooooo frosty and sticky now... if I just brush pass them and they touch my skin, I can feel and smell it for like an hour after :)
Your week 2's look like my week 6's of this strain! I'm thinking I should have bought a better light and that my tent temperature is a bit too cool, there are some beginnings of pre-flowers though it feels too soon. I've also got a helmet-head seedling that is on week 7 or 8 and its tiny like as if its trying hard to do stuff but on a miniature scale.
Looking good, and way way better than mine.
I'll be posting my Afghan pearl tomorrow and show all its yellow leaves, flowers look OK. Honestly don't know what it is, though I've been experimenting with light / ventilation etc to try keep my tent in a more stable temp and humidity range. Maybe my plant is retaining too much water and its messing with the roots (best guess).
