Growing for the first time - Euphoria

Setting up the grow room, got my seeds all set for germination. I am germinating 5 seeds and my hope is to get 3 full plants by the end of this grow. It should be clear to anyone that watches this progress that I am learning as I go. My goal at the end of this is to have 3oz of dried bud between the 3 full plants. We will see what plants survive my general lack of knowledge. Sunday day 1 - Euphoria has been put into a jiffy pellet to germinate. My grow tent has been setup, and I need to get the duct-work done. The stores are closed today, so I will pickup the tubing tomorrow. The 2 300w led lights are blinding when I turn them on. My nutrients haven't arrived yet, but are scheduled for delivery Monday. Through week 1 she has not yet sprouted above soil. Starting to get a bit worried.

Day 8 - Well, she has finally decided to come out and say hello. She already looks a bit lop sided, so I will see what happens over the next few days. Day 9 - She is still a bit lop sided, but her two new leaves look good. Surprised that she sprouted as much as she did overnight. I also added a new extractor fan and a new circulating fan into my tent. I took the old inline fan out and put a 2nd intake pipe into the bottom of the tent. I hope this helps bring the humidity down as it spiked to 65 today in the warm weather. Day 10 - I bought a CO2 bag today. I installed it in the tent, it says it starts working right away, but not at peak until after 30 days. That should be fine given my grow schedule. She looks happy in there, I think I might give my plants a full water tomorrow, though I am scared of over-watering them. Day 11 - Nothing much new to report. She has gotten a bit taller overnight and her leaves are slightly larger. I will be checking my soil later today and possibly watering the girls. I will update the journal accordingly after. I decided to water the girls as it was dry up to my knuckle. I got the water to a ph of 6.7 and used Root Farm Base (Bought at Canadian Tire) and BioThrive Grow 4-3-3. I ended up using 500ml of water per plant for this water. We will see how it goes overnight. Day 12 - Not a whole lot new overnight with this girl. She is larger, but it isn't dramatic in any way. Her bottom leaves remind me of lop ears I had on a old dog growing up. I have decided to name her Tuffy after that dog. I do hope she starts to take off soon. This is her fifth day above ground and she looks to be about the same size as my pineapple express plant was on the fifth day. I am not worried as it is still very early in this grow. I still have a whole lot to go wrong between now and harvest. Day 13 - Tuffy had a bit of growth last night. Nothing earth shattering, just slightly bigger. Hopefully she can keep up with my other girls. It is really neat looking at the differences between them right now as they all germinated a day or two apart from one another. I hope she starts to really flourish soon. Day 14 - Tuffy has gotten a bit bigger all around. Last night I couldn't get to sleep knowing that one of my girls had rust spots. So I got up and did some research. Decided late to flush one of my plants and add some ph'd water. I also took that opportunity to add some ph'd water to all of my plants. It is my hope this helps prevent any issues from starting. I also bought some calcium/magnesium today and I will be using that going forward.

Day 15 - Had to give all of my girls some calcium today. I was hoping the PH balanced water and flush would help, but I saw a new rust spot on another plant. I was worried about over-watering them, but then decided I would rather give them too much water than see them die from calcium deficiencies. In watering today I somehow managed to drop my ph meter into a bucket of solution. Now it only reads 1.2 for every test. I ordered another one from amazon. Overnight Tuffy got a bit bigger and is looking happy. I just hope my girls turn around soon. Day 16 - She is also looking very droopy today since I watered yesterday. Concerning for sure. Day 17 - She perked up a bit, but still looks bad. Droopy leaves and discolored. Day 18 - So I was in a complete state of panic last night. I went to the local hydro shop and was told to flush the soil because it was too hot and pluck the leaves. I asked on some forums and several other experienced growers suggested not touching them. After much thought I decided for now to leave them alone. I checked the PH of my soil and it was at 6.1. I made some PH 6.9 water and put it into a misting bottle. I misted all of my girls this morning and while they still look sick. They look a hell of a lot better. Some good growth on her last night as well. Day 19 - Leaves look thicker and she looks a lot better today. Tuffy picked up overnight and looks both taller and fatter today. Unlike the other girls, there appears to be no new shoot development underneath. Day 20 - Almost 3 weeks in, and they aren't all dead yet. That is a win in my books. I gave them some water last night PH'd to 6.8. They did not receive any nutrients. They have all responded well. Some good growth up top last night on Tuffy. She also had some new shoots underneath start. I am happy, while I am not out of the woods yet with this grow. I can see the light through the trees. I will stick with just water for another week before trying nutrients again. Day 21 - Nothing new to report. Some growth underneath and up top.

Day 22 - The start of week 4. The smell has started. Some good growth overnight and she is looking healthy. I will be topping her and doing some LST later this week. Day 23 - Good growth up top and underneath. Not much to report. I was going to top her today, but because of the damage I've decided to wait until my next watering. Day 24 - Topped her for the first time. I also watered her today without any nutrients as she was looking a bit droopy. Day 25 - Most growth was underneath last night. She is filling out nicely. The topping looks to be healing and I did some lst today. I will do more lst on her in a couple of days. Day 26 - What a night, I thought the lst did nothing when I opened the tent. The growth was significant and she turned right up towards the light. I gave her a bit less slack on the LST today and we will see what happens tonight. Day 27 - In a rush today, won't be much of an update. Just a picture

Day 30 - Had a night away from the girls and came home to a happy looking grow room. Bunch of new growth up top and below. Looking way healthier this week. Day 31 - Had to trim a branch I broke attempting lst on her. Other than that, a good day. I gave about 1.5l of water to each of the girls today as well. Day 32 - Bending her at the top to try to keep her in the pot. Taking the bottom 2 branches and trying to stretch them south. New growth after the topping looks odd. It seemed to have worked though. Day 33 - I did some trimming on her, and I made the mistake of trying to pluck a leaf and pulled 2. Oops. I did manage to open her up though, hopefully we see some new growth overnight. Day 34 - After a minor defoliation she came back with a vengeance. She will be getting some water tonight with nutes. Day 35 - More growth under the canopy last night. She is recovering from my bad accidents with the scissors still. I won't be topping her again, only lst and the scrog from here on out.

Day 36 - She looks good despite the damage I did to her last week. I'll be feeding her tomorrow. Going to be getting the girls ready to flip next week. Didn't do anything today except take her out and look at her. Day 38 - She keeps getting bigger and adding new nodes every day. She is almost filling out her pot, really worried about space once I flip the girls to 12/12 Day 39 - Didn't do a thing today, but I did snap a picture. Day 40/41/42 - Not much to report, she is getting thicker and looking better every day.

Day 43 - Added some nutes and flipped to 12/12 today. LST has done some good to her. Got to spend some time with her to pull a couple branches out of the middle. Day 44 - Not much to report. She is bigger and has new growth all over. Overall she is looking very good so far. No signs of female parts yet, but I don't expect that until later in the week. Day 45/46 - Gave her a trim and tried to spread her out a bit. Not much to do on her at the moment as she is more or less where I was hoping she would be at this point. Day 47 - Had to give her some LST today, but only a minor amount. Also fed her some water. Day 48 - I gave her a trim today. Got rid of any large fan leaves causing problems that already has a 2nd node developing.

Day 50 - She is feeling light in the pot, but still looks like she is getting a healthy amount of water. So I will wait until tomorrow to water her. I did another major trim on her today. Day 51 - A minor trim today and some water is all she needed. Day 52 - More trimming today to try to expose the middle. She is stretching quite a bit and her flowers are starting to become more pronounced. Day 53 - Some LST today to give a bit more light to the middle of the plant. Day 54 - Not much to report, her flowering sites are becoming more pronounced. She seems to be stretching about an inch a day right now. Day 55 - She is getting taller every day. Might have to raise one of my lights for her and the White Widow. Day 56 - She has good growth everywhere today. I gave her some water with Koolbloom liquid today.

Day 57 - Took a photo today and that was about it. Bud sites are looking good. She has the least amount of stems of all of my plants. Likely because of my defoliation mistake a few weeks ago. Either way she has bounced back. Day 58 - She is getting tall, I will have to move my lights up to accommodate her soon. Will be interesting to see how she develops because the two tallest nodes have a lot of distance between bud sites. Day 59 - Still stretching, and looking damn good. Node spacing is good, secondary bud production looks good and the fan leaves look healthy. Day 60 - Had to raise the lights as this girl was almost touching them. She looks very happy after her feed yesterday. Day 61 - Still stretching. Tons of space between bud spots. I hope that she fills in all that space over time Day 62 - She keeps getting bigger. The bud sites are all growing at a good pace. Very happy. Day 63 - She is tall, not a single secondary node on this girl. She is really tall and the buds are starting to grow all over.

Day 64 - She is towering over the other plants at this point. She looks healthy and happy, though she hasn't really developed any secondary nodes. All branches are straight from the main stem. I'd like to see more flower development, but I am sure she will fill out by the end of the week. Day 65 - I think she has stopped stretching, at least today I didn't notice a big height difference. Her flowers are looking good and she looks happy at this point. Day 66 - She is a tall girl, but she is starting to bunch up a bit because of space in the tent. I'll be doing some LST on her later today in hopes of opening her up. Day 67 - Looking happy and healthy. Not much to complain about with this girl. Day 68 - No longer getting much taller, she is now focused on bud production. Very excited to see what she does. Day 69 - A big difference in bud size throughout the week. Hopefully she can start to add some weight next week. Day 70 - She looks happy and content at this point. Likely will be getting a feed tomorrow.

Day 71 - She is looking very good at this point. Her bud sites are growing and her secondary sites are looking good. Looks like everything is getting a good amount of light within her. I'll be switching her to the KoolBloom powder sooner rather than later. Day 72 - I have a feeling she is going to be an impressive plant by the end of this grow. Her tops are looking like they will beef up nicely. Really excited for this one. Day 73 - She is a tall lady, buds are starting to get lengthy. Hopefully that growth continues for a week and then she starts packing on the weight. Day 74 - Not much to report today. Just a picture and back into the tent. Day 75/76 - Didn't really check on the girls yesterday as I was busy. Today I fed them some water. Day 77 - After water yesterday she seems to have responded well. I might water again tomorrow as I only gave them each a small amount to see how they would handle the switch to the Powder KoolBloom.

Day 78 - I haven't noticed much of a difference with her over the past week. Not quite sure if she is getting bigger or staying the same size. It is really difficult to tell when you check on them every day. Day 79 - Some water for the girls today. Hoping those bud sites continue to grow. Still not much smell from her. Day 80-83 - She doesn't have a lot of bud given her size. A little disappointed in her growth so far, but that could change. It looks like I broke a bud site a few days ago as one was kind of hanging there. I pulled it off and it was already dry. So I will try putting it in the vape tonight to see what I get. Still not much smell from her. Day 84-85 - I sampled her, and she got me high. So huzzah for that. A bit more of a body stone than my other amnesia grow, but still a workable high. Something I could see myself taking while doing some wood working.

Day 86 - It is very difficult at this point to notice any difference with my plant. I am very glad I took photos every day as that is where I can actually see the difference. One week ago, she was a bit thinner and outside of the main colas there was not much development. Now she is getting thicker and the secondary bud sites are getting large. Exciting stuff. Day 87/88 - Not much going on these days. Just patiently waiting and keeping them watered. Day 89 - Watering today. I'll be going away this weekend, so likely no photos on Sunday. Maybe a short update tomorrow. Day 90 - Took off all the fan leaves and gave her some water. Hopefully she will be good for the long weekend.

Day 92 - Trichomes are all clear, and she still seems to be going strong. Very interested to see if she can add a bit more weight before harvest. Day 93 - Not much difference today. Smell is starting to be a bit more distinct. Though that might just be myself getting over a cold. Some water today, and hopefully will be harvesting her next week. Day 94 & 95 - Didn't notice any difference. Trichomes are starting to cloud up a bit more. Not much else to report. Day 96 - She is just about ready to come down. Likely here in the next day or so. I'll give her some water tonight and as soon as I get some time to myself she will be 2nd in line to get a chop.

Euphoria came down today. She did very well for me, and was actually easier to trim than the other girls. For that reason alone I am rating her a 10. She had the longest stretch of the girls, and the most impressive buds. Another sweet smelling plant, but I suspect she will change a bit during the cure process. I'm looking forward to seeing what I get from her in dry weight, though the wet weight is misleading as there is a lot of stem in that wet weight. Updating with the final tally, still haven't smoked any of her yet. Will be trying her out hopefully on the weekend.
