As it's the easiest way atm as I'll have to set the black 1 7L pots on a higher base as the DWC buckets are 33cm off the ground while the 1.7L are 12cm off the ground. Doing it like this will be fine for the 1st wk as the roots don't even reach the end of the net pot until around week 2. I have it sitting in 1mlx3 solution nutes I used are up above all from Terra Power. I haven't decided yet which bucket will be sterile but as there is no root rot to worry about I'm going to be running her on a full compliment of enzymes and everything bactria I can throw at her for the 1st 2 weeks with root stims, maybe I'll carry it on, (the root stims/enzymes/bactria). Just a little tip. Your grow light does not need to be on till she's up showing face. When you put your seeds in to germinate be sure if you have to have your light on try cover the seed that needs to go 3/4 of a CM down. That's means the top of the head of the seed needs to be 3/4cm down. This will help the seed become strong and grow enough tap root as if she's to close to the surface it'll start off poor. As for what I'm going to do because it's DWC it really would be best left alone and lollipop her and let her grow into a monster. As she leans on the larger side I think she'll be best left to bloom with LST, maybe some supercropping. We shall see. I'm thinking as this is a new strain/breeder this will be 1 of few DWC hydroponics. Looking forward to seeing how purple I can get her, hope she's a real punch, pun intended. Don't think I'll have the cold temps to bring out the terps and a nice fade earlier on. Will start her on a very light diet as soon as she shows leafs. I'm in between on giving her a tried and tested brand of nutes. I think I'll run this off on a mix of try pack with some bud enhancers either from Terra Power or Adv Nutrients. Enzymes are yet to be decided. Decided. Going to run this 1 also as a pure enzyme run. I'll be mixing my own guide of enzymes and base nutrients. I'll be using set nutrients but not following there recommended guide lines. As TP says to hokd off on 3 key nutrients that DWC would highly benefit from and be ran in safty as no roots are in the water. Will be running her on FloraDuo grow/bloom renamed Dual Part. Grow/bloom from Terra Aquita aka GEH. And on a full compliment of of terra powers best. 3/5/22 VD1 Have started her on nutrients. I know she hasn't throw her clothes off yet but she'll handle it. EC was set at .5. PH 5.9. RH71% 21C IN dark. Max 24-25 in day with lights on. I run the light throughout the whole night only goes off in the day when room temp is more stable. When they get into pre-mid flower I'll be setting it so they go into the rest in the night when it coldest and will hopefully be able to get the purple to show in this new strain. If not I have a few things in mind to try. Last resort will be buying a chiller for my 70x70, but maybe not until I improve my skills with the tools I have on hand in going to try max out my skills and push my plants till I need extra gear like Co2 system and chillers will be added to my new pro 12 RDWC oxy pot system when I set it up for the winter, (months away) when temps are colder I'll run a full simpler 12 pot linked system with full enzymes. 4/5/22 Great growth from Yday. Very slow to come out of the ground. Actually both strains autos and fems have been lagging behind both other breeders. 100% success so far on germination. Another POGP seed is bound for 100% coco. 6/5/22 So, it's begun. I've created a negative pressure environment, 1st time, let's see if it makes an impact. On wk 3 onwards I'll be running the intake extraction for 5mins every 30mins and I'll have 2 co2 bags up. If the RH becomes a problem or temp I'll put the extraction/intake back on 100% of the time. The extraction fan/intake is set at a ratio of 2 to 1. (100% extraction 50% intake) making a negative pressure environment, best way to show you have done this, the walls in your tent should bow in lightly. Same Day. Okay, so this my last update. Going to run fans the same right up until flower and then I'll be sealing up my tent and adding 2 co2 bags. And will be adding a dehuimifier and setting at 45% And it checks every 30mins and if it's gone up it'll turn back on and bring down to 45 or set RH, so no co2 will escape. The temp will be bordering 30-33c and then when they go into their rest window they'll be transferred to to a negative pressure environment with low temps and 45-50%RH. I'll only be able to do this for the 3 weeks of pre flower. And maybe some more, it depends how hard the dehuimifier will be working, but i want dense buds and only way to improve that is by introducing Co2 and then a negative pressure cold environment for terps. Then I'll be putting them back into full negative pressure environment and the Co2 will be useless, again all depends how it's gonna affect my bottom line. That and I only have 2 intake fans. I'll be going into detail about my Co2 adventures the week before I'll be prepping them to be able to withstand high temps, so I'll gradually bring up the temps the last wk of veg 28c max and that way when I push it to 30-32c in pre flower she won't stress as much Thanks for reading this week, there'll be no more updates just pics for the rest of the week. Then PPM will be adjusted. 9/5/22 So, AFTER going back and forward these past few days and scratching my head as to why my DWC grows are going soooo slow when compared to the soil grows. Then it dawned on me. There only getting a bit of water every time I pour it on the rockwool and trickles down onto the roots beyond the rockwool, the water was meant to be up past the base of the net pot for the 1st 2 weeks until the roots grow down and can drink at their own needs. I wasn't doing that. So last night it clicked. Silly I know. So I brought the water up in the bowl as far as I could and I'm hoping it's high enough that the roots can start to drink from the bowl. gottagrowsometime

Welcome to my Purple Og Punch 1St DWC grow. Be sure to drop a like or comment so I can visit your diaries. 10_5_22 VD8. Explosive root growth going on since I added the water 2 days ago. Not even 2 days. Going to have to transplant them into there pots and take them out of their bowls. Growth on top is going really slow but I'm putting that down to the fact that there was no water touching the roots. Clearly I held them back. I've upped the ppm by 300. And I've brough the ratio of grow/bloom to 3:1. 11_5_22 I'm going to see how she reacts. It's a strain that seems to love root stims. Very rapid root growth. Idk y the tops are so slow to follow suit. I mean, idk whatelse I can do? My RH is perfect/temp too. Solid 24/25c max with light on20/21c min. RH NVR drops below 60 nvr goes above 72 neither, it has to be related to them not getting water to the rockwool from the beginning. HAS TO BE RIGHT? Any comments would be gladly appreciated. Same Day: Took a PH sample off both DWC both have jumped to 7&7.2. Emptied both and made new mixes for both bringing PH to 5.5&5.8. Aswel as lowering both EC/PPM to 550&580 was too high and 7&750. 13_5_22 Decided to get these into their buckets. The bowls was a terrible idea. The PH jumped from the set 5.5 to 7 in 12 hrs in both 7.2 in the SLH DWC, Crazy RIGHT. No wonder y they aren't growing. I set both up and fixed their PH/PPM much lower. 450&470 both PH fell into 5.6&5.8 and filled the tent. Thinking of adding another grow light into the 70x70. Will be transplanting everything and moving 10 of the autos into the 150x150. The photos will stay in the 70x70 where I can keep the RH around 70% and I'll be able to bring the tent in the range of 45-55%. 15/5/22 So, as you can see this lady is very poorly. Idk what happened or what I did. But as soon as I added them to the buckets she came ill. Idk if it's from the top high an EC they were given for 12 hours or so a few days ago. So I've given up. There's a nutrient or enzyme that isn't working well in DWC. Again, I've no clue what it could be. They were fine right up until they weren't. I'm getting black spots, pk/N/cal mag/ lots of issues. So I restarted it again. I've dumped all the nutrient water and added a simple jungle juice mix with no enzymes. I'm having trouble with keeping temp under 20c..It's hitting 23c. I've added cold frozen bottles to bring the temp down. I'm putting it down to the 2 different nutrients not working together. Thanks for reading. gottagrowsometime

Wk 3 VD15..17/5/22 Coming out the other side. Very surprised she didn't die off she was sooo bad (was a bad mix of nutrients brands that didn't gel together). What is left is healthy and small growth. Having real issues with trying to keep temp stable. Think this will be my only DWC runs until I can sort out the right gear. 21-24c. Dumping frozen bottles/PH'ed ice. Just can't keep the temps below 20c. Thanks for reading. gottagrowsometime

Thanks for dropping by my diary, be sure to drop a like so I can visit your diaries. VD22 WK4 25/5 Not doing great. PPM reading has changed for the 1st time. Jumped up to around 750 and showing signs of tox. Will lower today and see can I get it back on track. Added Epsom Salt to give them some MG/S. Was 340 ppm baseline was 105 so 235 2 teaspoons to 3L then thr 3L was added to the bucket. 30/5/22 Idk y both plants are staying so short. The nodes are soo compact she's having real trouble getting light into the inner nodes. And they aren't growing much. Think I'm going to have to do heavy defoliation of both DWC grows. The temp with lights on is 81F and off it's 72-71F so there should be a stretch like in the rest of the grows, only thing I can think off, is the water they are in the temp in them doesn't drop quick enough and it's keeping the plants in a high temp, hence y they are so short but have tons of growth. Same Day. So after going through other ppls grows. I think I know where I went wrong. I was running them on 20-4 & I've switched them to 18-6, I'm hoping 1 more wk and with the extra 2 hrs in a lower temp should help the stretch a lil. I've no idea why my photos are staying so small and bushy while my autos are topping out at 40-55cm with long nodes. So, I've raised my light to 45cm as I had it at 30cm and I'm guessing it's down to why they are soo short and bushy. Let's see what happens at a week at 45cm.

Welcome to my Ganja purple og punch contest diary. Drop a like if you'd like me to visit your diary. Grow is going okay. Nodes are still not growing up. I'm waiting on my TS1000 before I flip as it has a higher ppfd and therefore will give me denser buds. Shell be short and bushy but I'm hoping I'm going to get some killer dense colas. So, am going to try something. As you could see in the picture the 4 colas had grown up and the center was not. So 8 decided to x-line her. A form of mainlining, well it is mainlining results but, just done completely backwards, and wrong. But if I had of flipped her like that she'd of only grown 4 decent colas and a centre big 1. Now she'll grow 4 big ones and all that energy will go to the corners, for flowering it will at least. Lol, I know if I'd of done it this way from the beginning I'd of got 4 big massive things but the plant grew the way it did, and I had to adapt, shit happens. I'm going to clean her up of course, I'll give her 24hrs to settle and let her leafs turn up that were all trapped and then I'll LST the shit out of her and give her a solid week of growth to build something up on the underdeveloped nodes and let's see what we get. 6/6/22 She is really filling out in the middle. Going to flip her after this week.

welcome to my ganja farmer purple on punch diary. Week 6. VD37. She's taken been Xlined great. Growth is fantastic. The middle nodes have been given enough growth, only a few more days and I'll flip her with my new TS1000. 11/6/22 Have to flip sadly. Plans have come up that will put me away for part of August. Changed water to bloom. Took out all enzymes. Just focusing on bloom nutrients and some silica. Stripped all growth away. Not much I can do in the way of LST to make a canopy but I'll LST her when she starts to stretch. Would have liked to get some proper veg growth on the nodes lower down but maybe I'll just have to strip them and have 4 big colas.

WEEK 7 FD1. 16/6/22 Flowering has started under my FC 3000. Am looking forward to seeing how dense and big I can get the buds under this light. In total I have 3 photos and 2 autos under light. By right it would do a much bigger space than 70x70 which I will be showing on my next run. Any light can do veg its all about the flowering baby and what you can do with the piece of kit you have. The plant itself is doing well. Very quick reaction she's already throwing out lil pistils.

Week 8 day 50. Ragging, noticed today when I went in my DWC plants look awful after adding calmag extra to it. I should of just poxy left it. 25c temps idk why I'm adding Adv nutrients to the mix it was very silly mistake. Next time, no big lil tent in a big tent with any DWC, poxy stupid Idea. Will add pics when I turn on the light tonight. 27/6 Temps dropped massively in my grow room. Down from a stable 25c down to 20c in my flower tent. Idk why yday was so cool but my photos paid the price. Overall I'm very surprised at how they look. Few P issues but that's dealt with now. Had to HST the 4 main nodes that were sticking up. I'm going to get stuck in tonight and clean her up, she's a mess. Idk how this is going to play out now. I really thought I wouldn't even get this far with my temps but hey. She's a growing.

Week 9. D64. Plant is doing okay. Where I done HST. Has became very weak at 2 points, the other 2 made a nice knuckle. But 1 was so bad it broke upon inspection. The leafs were healthy on it. So nutrients were traveling through. It actually felt moist around the knuckle, as cracked as It was it was still working. I removed a lot of growth. Still need to get in and remove more. Plant is going to get another clip this week. As I only have a few more cm in my 70x70x160 I'm moving my mars light into my 150x150x220 and will just transfer my 2 DWC pots and 2 female soil grows into the tent every 12 hrs, and it'll take over the bulk of the work left to do to finish my plants Thanks to marshydro for sponsoring me the light.

Week 10. D 68. So finally, I went in to see was this plant a go or a throw. And finally I got my hands on h202. 6%. Added 1ml/L. And changed the water, it stunk. Roots are very weak. Now, I've added it in with the nutrients. Should I just sterile it in water for a few hours or just keep adding it to the solution every week, as I know it'll evap quicker than hydroguard or the others. It's my solution temp can hit 27c at times. So, I think this is the only way to go right. No bacteria at all?? If anyone has any suggestions please comment and DM me please. She is doing a lot better. I took her out and she is some size. That little tent doesn't do her justice, I'm harvesting this week so I'll be moving the buckets into the big tent and I'll move the mars light where it should be in the big tent and just move the photos in every 12hrs, should give me enough room, as I'm touching 15cm away from the light, and it's only my high co2 ppm that's y I reckon my girls aren't burnt to shit. I got a reading 2 weeks ago idk if it went down as the plants grew as I have 3 exhale bags open in my grow room.. even with an exhaust my ppm is still higher with them than it is without.. and they only cost 4$ each. Week 10 D76. Well, this lady has been through the wars, she looks in terrible condition but its mostly war wounds, she has a lot of heartily new growth and is eating, I'll get in their and defol this week so I can get a good judge if she comes into new defs or toxs, as it's too hard to tell if she has news issues. The roots are doing well, h202 seems to be holding root rot at bay, am going to push my look after I move into my big tent, defol and I'll might add a small drop of ripen to my current mix ratio.. I added silca a few days ago and it already seems to be making the stem stronger. Wish I'd of used it before I HST'ed. Going to be putting 100% effort into these ladies now and will be adding more pics to the weeks when I have them in the open. WEEK 12 D78. Loving her new space. She's a big girl. What you can see, are old war wounds, she's actually very healthy and eating well, drinks about 1l of nutrient solution a day. I set the ppm at 550 every day and within 24hrs the ppm drops a 100ppm or so. And I top it up. Constantly adjusting the PH, well, every day, and it'll only get worse as you keep the same water as the PH buffers are left behind, therefore increasing your PH. And it doesn't help the only PH adjuster I have is organic, and I'm using h202, so I'd say it plays a part in messing up its PH. I just keep a 1l bottle there ready beside it now and adjust every day. For the 1st 9-10 weeks these gals were left at the back and sometimes I wouldn't check the water for 3-5 days, and they paid the price. But I'm getting some decent growth, in my pics you'll see what I HST'ed and if you look at the knuckle you'll see how bad a state she was in, I HST'ed 4 nodes and 1 broke off it got so dry for some reason, putting it down to root rot and she was in nutrient lock for weeks. But all my time is going into these now, and my chances of bringing to harvest have increased a lot. Done some light defol and will do more, as you can see, she has a lot of sugar leafs but has some pretty nice colas. I'll take its true height this week, as last time I took it was half way into pre flower but she didn't put on much more height after 10 days of PF. you can c where I HST'ed the colas themselves are much fuller, so HST is your friend. They are all standing up, as I didn't tie them down, but it's HST all the same, once you break that membrane and makes a knuckle then you got it. I've been keeping the nutrients at min, I've added some silica and thankfully I did, it seems to have made her much stronger as she was struggling to hold herself upright but she's all good now. I have ripen for the last 2 weeks for that extra flowering kick. But I'm going to start applying a smaller dose now to help the flowering process. Just .3 of a ml or 50-80ppm extra. I'll change the water again this week and adjust the EC. As for the light, she's a beast, she is covering around 100x100 atm but I have 4 autos in my tent to the side and I just checked what light they were getting, and to my surprise the plants far away from the light parts were getting 20k+ lux. Wow. The lead is 2m long and the driver is at the end of that, allowing you more than enough room to put it outside the tent, as drivers get hot, the light itself oozes of quality and has great light penetration. Week 13 D85 Fd30.. Doing well, balancing at with H202..I put too much in last week and damaged the roots a bit. Very hard to hold a stable PH with Organic PH - adjuster. But, its doable. Strong healthy growth atm with nice healthy long colas and she's nice and sticky, and smells wonderful. D88 Can't poxy believe it. So f..King close and this happens. And I've no poxy idea why. The EC dropped from the set 580 to 530 and PH went from 5.5 to 6.1 and I turned off the lights last night. As you can see in pic D87 she's coming down with something. So I adjusted the PH and let the EC be. And now she's dying, with no reason at to why. NONE. That's what's annoying me. I'd get if temps sky rocketed or something failed. But my other plants are fine. She has gotten worse since earlier, she's dying. It was half as bad earlier, checked everything, and yeah, it's all fine. Added some H202 incase but nope. She's in dying mode. I changed the water, dropped the silica, but, what wouldn't be an issue, as she's been on silica weeks. I'm expecting by 2moro night I'll be chopping her. 3 weeks from being done and everything, ffs. D89 So, it dawned on me what would be the cause, its a weird one, but it's the only thing that makes sense. So, when I was emptying my 6L tank on my 20L dehumidifier it dawned on me, 2 days ago before I turned out the lights, I poured that 6L of what from the tank into my DWC. And the next day, she's dying. So it's the only thing that it could be. I changed the water, so let's see what happens, but, I think she's had it. I really didn't expect for that to happen with Dehumidifier water.. such a pity, she'd of given 150+g. Grrrr. D89 So, I plucked what was loose, there was a lot of dead growth that came off real easy, all I had to do was pull from behind the leaf and apply a little pressure upwards and a dead leaf will fall off. There was still a lot that surprised me that held on, so I left them there. As you'll see in pic D90 (coming before lights out), I took all what was dead away. I hope she pulls through. My hands were so sticky, it was unreal. But, I can't see enough energy drawing leafs to finish her off. I'll be watching the EC closely. If it goes down I'll know she's eating, if not, then I'll just have to pull her. She's in a sorry looking state. And she was doing great. So promising.. would of been my biggest harvest to date. I added 2 new air stones. They are only 3L each, but they are enough, she has great roots, but she got struck down with something that threw her into what was like a 2 week hard flush, I've never seen so much die off so quick from such a healthy plant. So weird. I can't say for 100% it was the water from the dehumidifier but there was nothing I did differently than what I've done to the other, and the other is perfect. (Other then add a few L of water from the tank to bring the EC down from 590 back down to 520. And then the next day it was like she had been in a hard flush for a week or more. Like it was end of life, but she has just came into the fattening phase and showed no signs what so ever of end of life and she is far away from that.. I'm putting it down to something in the water like bacteria triggered a die off. I've emptied her. She seems to be pulling back what leafs didn't come off have came back to life, (just a little) put it this way, they aren't falling off. So, let's see can I get some of it to mature a little more, I doubt it. D90 I've adjusted the EC again to 580. I took out a load of solution and added fresh tap. D91 Well its been an absolute nightmare trying to save this girl..I really still am not 100% sure what happened. But she suddenly died, I mean, I turned the lights out and she was fine, then the next day, she looked like she'd been in a flush for 2 weeks the growth was that dead and looked weeks old. Madness. I instantly changed the water. And have been been trying for days to get her back eating... 4 times I've changed the water and lowered the EC by some, as she lost 70% of her healthy growth, there is still a lot of deadish growth on her, but I went down every node and gave all leafs a little pull upwards and I lost 70% as they came off with ease. I'm hoping the 30% that is left, will be enough to finish her, she is struggling to eat. The PPM will not stay down and she won't eat. Yday it was set at 550 and today it was 1100 and pH went down to 3.7. Changed water again, let it sit for 25mins added nutrients to 480 checked after 8hrs later its 490 and PH is up 6.1. Will adjust PH 2night and add another 1ml/gallon of h202 6%. D95 So, she's not eating. Sadly I think she's done. And she was coming into the fattening phase, 1 more week of straight growth would of doubled the mass of the harvest. She's sticky and stinky. I made the mix to 480 2 days ago, jumped up to 495. Poured 1L of tap in and lowered the ppm to 440 and will check it today, depending on the results will either leave her to try and finish some, or just start the flushing process. As these are synthetic nutrients and with it been DWC you HAVE TO FLUSH. I can't state that enough. I've had a test of the Super Lemon Haze and she's super strong but also super harsh on the throat. 100% needs a flush. I'm still on the fence if I should just turn this whole gal into a load of hash. But because she stressed out so much, idk how much potency she lost. Idk what to do. She's my 1st real disaster. She's not 100% a write off. Id say I'll pull 60-100g off her, but as for the quality and the strength, I don't think she's going to be there yet. D96 So, its been a battle, and sadly, I've lost. I just couldn't get her over the line after all the sudden die off of 70% of the plant and what was left was damaged and what was left was deep down beyond any decent light, but even if I had of turned a 100watt on for its side, there wasn't enough energy left in her. I haven't had a chance to taste, she's sticky, has lost some, but not a lot and stinks of tropical fruits. Don't think I'll have to trim much as you can pull the leafs out with a little tug, all dead. So, idk what use trying to flush her will be, she should still drink but as she's not taking up nutrients IDK what's going to happen. The PPM was set at 220 and I'm keeping a close eye on her and PH is set at 5.8. D109 Sorry haven't added a new week. No point really. It looks the exact same..I tried giving terra powers flush and it went from 220ppm to 400 the next day. Brough it down to 180 went up to 500, wtf. Grrr. I'm raging, she would of been so fat. She was stopped cold in her tracks with some disease in her bucket. I fed dehumidifier water, yes, it was lazy, I was going to bed and the ppm was way up, and my dehumidifier was flashing red that it was full, so was like a💡 moment. Well, I thought it was, but, I didn't think. The dehumidifier sucks in dirty air, smoke, and I hadn't got the hepa filter in, as it lowers the dehumifation process. So breeding ground for bacteria. She would of been so fat. She was so sticky, not anymore, I wish I'd of just harvested it now, as there was only a small change. But what was there milked up a lot, but I've no idea what it's strength is like, piss poor I reckon. Will see. Well, it started out badly, got good and then went to shit near the end. And that's all she wrote. Gutted, as you can tell. Let's see though, might be surprised with the strength, will see. Few days later ........ o boy o boy, she did. So strong. The best of the bunch, such a pity I didn't get my monster harvest. Will put up what I did get soon.. lovely smoke..
